This day visit restaurant offers reasonably priced dishes with decent flavors. The spice and saltiness are well-balanced, and the rib pot stands out, even though it can be a bit challenging to bite into at times. A great choice for the town! Don’t really recommend the soy milk noodle, it’s pretty plain.
There’s no issue with parking for this non-descript place with really good food. The service was very “Asian” but good in that respect. The setting is relaxed and clearly more about good food. They have a wide variety of soups and some other traditional dishes. I always get spicy pork bulgogi when I eat Korean and was not disappointed. There was plenty of great food to fill me up. My daughter had the galbi tang (#8; similar to Filipino linage) and my wife had the Bassack Bulgogi (grilled chopped ribeye patty in special soy sauce). All great dishes.
We ordered a combo, and an octopus got pot. The soup is bland, but you can add salt by yourself. The bulgoki is good but not as I expect. We like the octopus hot pot, even a bit spicy. After we add a bowl of rice inside, it reduces the spicy, and you can taste more sweet.
We often eat korean food, but never had the chance to try the ox bone soup. So we searched for a good address and found Seoul Haus.
We choose one Sul-Long-Tang (ox bone soup), and one with ox tail.
It was absolutely delicious.
The soup comes not salted, so you can adapt the amount of salt to your taste. The beef is so good, the broth is so delicious, i'm salivating just thinking at it.
We'll go back for sure.
It's a small place, but in a very quiet small commercial center. They have two tables outside which are so pleasant.
Highly recommended.
Very fast and friendly service.
I randomly found this restaurant on Google when I was craving Korean food and did a search on maps. My husband entertained my cravings and agreed to try a new place (we usually go to mainstream restaurants that are packed on a Friday night).
The banchan was all very good and the Kimchi was the perfect level of fermentation for my taste (but everyone has a different level of fermentation they like their kimchi. This one matched mine). My husband ordered the kalbi tang, which was excellently seasoned. I ordered the Uegogi kalbi tang which was excellent. No skimping on the daenjjang. This was most certainly the most pleasant Korean food experience I've had in a long time. Definitely planning to come back.
If you are looking for elevated, authentic, Korean food, then this place is for you. Seoul Haus has almost a rustic charm to it that bigger restaurants and chains tend to lose as they expand. The portions are generous, banchan tastes amazing, and the management is lovely as well. If you are looking to support a small business that delivers nothing but stellar results than Seoul Haus is definitely worth your time and money.
They have the ground beef style bulgogi which I’ve only had in Korea! It was delicious, slightly sweet and very flavorful on top of lots of grilled onions. Great with the banchan and rice (the radish kimchee was my favorite, garlicky and perfectly balanced. The cabbage kimchee was kind of bland and tasted like it had been made the day before)
Got the combo A and they gave me the bulgogi and sul long tang instead of cold noodle (so check your order before you leave). Also tried the mandu and dduk soup which was tasty.
Plenty of parking in the plaza lot. Called in order and it was ready in twenty minutes on a Sunday around noon.
One of my favorite Korean restaurants in the OC. Great service--always friendly & courteous-- and need to mention consistent amazingly delicious food! I would definitely recommend their "Ba Ssack Bulgoki" -- so delicious and tasty--much like a consistency of a hamburger but so much more flavors!!! I would highly recommend coming here ... They do get very busy during lunch and peak dinner hours --so make sure to plan ahead!
This understated and rather plain spot has a somewhat limited menu, but does their core items well. They’re known for their seolungtang or beef bone soup and it’s used in many of their dishes.
The decor is minimal and you could easily miss it driving by.
I had the dumpling and rice cake soup which was good. Not the best I’ve had but decent. The broth definitely was noteworthy for the beef bone flavor. The side dishes were generous and included two types of kimchi and a steamed cabbage with soy sauce and sesame oil.
The portion was more than fair and the service was quick and attentive. One note on noise: the space is basically one large room so when a table in the corner was having a conversation, it was like they were at your table talking.
One of the most authentic Korean restaurants in Irvine. Both the Sullungtang (beef bone soup) and Gamjiatang(spicy neckbone soup with potato) are delicious at this place. Cold noodle is a must-have on a hot summer day - refreshing to the soul!
It’s a pretty authentic Korean restaurant. Seems like a family run business. Got the combo with beef bone soup and spicy pork. Good!
Very delicious food here! Favorites were the ox bone soup and the bulgogi dishes! If your into tasty homemade Korean food, then I definitely recommend this place. 😋
Seoul Haus has an excellent Ox Bone Soup, plus they give a bowl of rice along with the meal which completes any meal. Highly recommend coming here to give it a try. :) The cold noodles are also great!
This is a cute little korean mom and pop shop in a pretty quiet little plaza. The restaurant itself is kinda small so expect there to be some sort of wait. The food was so good!! We got the galbi tang, the sul long tang, and the beef hot pot and they were all so yum! The sul long tang is pretty bland but there is salt that you can add in on your own. The galbi tang was so flavorful and the meat was so soft snd tender. The beef hot pot was soooo good! There wasn’t as much vege as i thought there was gonna be but it was still very flavorful! Service is a bit slow, but everyone working was so nice and sweet that i didnt mind too much. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes!
The food and service is better than when they first opened. A good place to get your Korean food fix.
My mother and I went here a week ago. We have tried Tang 190 and I Can BBQ, both in Irvine. We are trying the top rated restaurants in the area. This is a small;l place. Overall, the panchan is better than Tang 190, but still okay; not great. Yes, I do base my rating on the panchan too. Our server was very nice. I am posting the panchan we had. This was a descent place. I ordered namyung. The noodles were softer than the one at Tang 190.
It's cheap and delicious
We go for the spicy pork belly and baby octopus hotpot and barely finish all the panchan (side dish)
Great customer service and very tasty especially the Yuk Gae Jang!! Easily the best. Every time my family and I visit, we order one for each. It’s just that good!!
I love this place. I have tried almost everything on the menu and all are very, very good. Service is better than other Korean restaurants I've visited.
