Always a pleasure eating at Chef Michael's , food is flavorful and filling and customer service is on point feel at home eating there. Went yesterday for dinner with friends that traveled from England and they loved the food. The seafood pasta was amazing. The portion was a very good size,worth every Penny. Restuarant is always clean, and that says a lot clean home good food. I could go on and on,but I say if you are ever driving down to the Keys, make Chef Michael's apart of you experience.

HI,
I was visiting my Aunt and Uncle in Key Largo, and they took me to Chef Michael's for my birthday brunch. Elena was our server, and I was so impressed! The food was amazing, and the service was fantastic. Thank you Elena for making my birthday extra special.

A must stop for steak or seafood. Great service, great wine, fantastic food. Best in the keys that we have ever had. David the bartender is funny nice and really makes you enjoy your experience

Delicious! The menu was simple with plenty of vegetarian & seafood options. Chef handpicks his fish daily, a freshness we savored in our appetizers and entrees. Excellent service. Nice ambience, however I do not suggest the table in the corner by the door/server station (too much traffic). Easy to vote this place Best of the Islamorada restaurants we have tried.

Anyone who doesn't like this place is impossible to please. You're in the keys. This was by far the best meal we had. The portions are huge! Share. The hogfish was buttery and perfectly prepared. We topped it off with carrot cake. I highly recommend it. It might be the best I've ever had.

Three of us had dinner there last night and it was wonderful. Knowledgable friendly and helpful staff. Offered great suggestions. The sautéed hogfish was excellent. The triple tail sautéed with crab in lime butter was delicious the special steak and lobster was good but came in third reservations strongly recommended. Back to michaels next time I'm in the keys!

It was a great experience. We ate inside. The outside terrace is beautiful, though. Very clean. Exceptional service. And the food surpassed our expectations. Anyway they cook the hogfish is amazing. We will definetely return. We are used to eating at Pierre's but the food here is sooo much better!

Two nights of heaven!. Thanks to Mary, Chef Michael and the incredible staff at this exquisite restaurant. Our group loved the steaks and hogfish. Exceptionally fine, fresh food! A must!

Mike's is good. The wait staff is weak and the wine list is poor. The food, however , is surprisingly good. The MUZAK is too loud. Thi9s is a good little restaurant that could greatly benefit from a few simple changes. btw, the lighting is too bright also

WOW ! Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food and superb service, Food is worth the cost . I will certainly return. Hog fish and scallops were cooked to perfection. Kid friendly

Was just there celebrating our five year wedding anniversary and had the most amazing meal! The service, food, and dessert were all exceptional - HIGHLY recommend the Salted Caramel Cheesecake Brûlée!!

Best restaurant in Islamorada, if your looking for a fancy date night or a place for celebration this is your spot! Incredible fish to choose from & the steak is out of this world. We started with the lion fish and it was incredible! Forget all of the other restaurants around town and put this at the top of the list!

Fantastic all the way around. The bar tender is a doll. She was so patient and knowledgeable about the food and drink. We decided to eat at the bar for my bday dinner. Free dessert-I picked a delicious HUGE chocolate cake. Husband had nut encrusted hogfish. He loved it. I went vegan and it was fantastic. Good vibe at the bar. Filled with friendly locals. Small, intimate restaurant. Walkable from Cheeca lodge. Reservation definitely recommended due to small size. Highly recommend. The special-rack of New Zealand lang was the largest portion I’d ever seen. Another man was eating it and I couldn’t imagine eating it all and I had no where to keep the leftovers or I would have had that. Looked fantastic and they said it was delicious.

Our favorite place to splurge in the keys. We got the shrimp & conch fritter appetizer, seafood pasta, hogfish Juliette, and key lime pie. We’d give 10 stars if we could. All the food is incredibly fresh and comes out perfect. Seafood pasta had almost an entire lobster tail in it. Service was amazing! Food is super high quality for the price. Make sure to make a reservation.

BEST RESTAURANT IN ISLAMARODA!!! Everything we had was super delicious!!! Service is excellent!!! Great ambience!!! Would definitely come back again when we come down to the keys. First of all, surprisingly good bread 🥖 it’s rare to get some good bread in Florida but man this is so good. They serve 4 different flavors- olive, sesame, sunflower seeds and rye. For appetizer we had the escargot Florentine. It was AMAZING!!! For entrees we had the roasted duck and Ponchatrain style snow grouper. Both excellent and the portions are really big too. 10/10 recommend!!

Have had Chef Michael’s on the list for several years after reading lots of good things on a Boat Owner’s Fishing Forum. Also researched and saw lots of different reviews on google. May have been the best meal I’ve had in the Keys. There are several good places in the Keys and I’ve had several outstanding meals but this one is different. A little more upscale. A bit more expensive but the fish is fresh. The sides are basic and maybe a little bland but let the fish be the star. We had the Lion Fish. App and the fritters. Both were outstanding. I had the Hogfish Pontchartrain (outstanding). Wife had the twin lobster tails (great). Sis-in-law had Hogfish Juliette (great) and BIL had the African Pompano (great). Server was very attentive and helpful. Wasn’t too crowded on a Thursday night. Definitely a must for nice date night or special occasion.

Outstanding meal, great atmosphere, very friendly and courteous staff. Went for dinner, was able to get a reservation the same day, but not much available as most time slots were already booked. Great inside atmosphere, nice ambiance not overwhelming, but definitely a nicer look and feel than a lot of the beach style establishments. Evening casual dress was perfect. Sat at the bar, and was immediately made to feel at home by the bartender Dave, good casual conversation mixed with a thorough knowledge of all the items and specials on the menu. Offered good info on the different types of fish, and the various toppings that were available. Ordered a bowl of Conch chowder to share as a starter, good thing because there is more than enough for two. Dave was great in that he had the kitchen split the chowder, and it was the perfect start to a great meal. They also provide fresh bread with an herbed olive oil dip, very tasty! We ordered a couple of the fresh fish options, Mutton fish and Hogfish with two different toppings. For the Mutton fish, we chose the Adriatic topping which was olive oil and herbs, and while very good, the Mutton fish was a bit soft for our liking, and the topping could have used a touch more fresh herbs and a little salt. For the Hogfish, we chose the Pontchartrain topping, which started with a blackened fish, topped with crawfish in a creole cream…simply amazing flavor…spicy but not overwhelming, and extremely flavorful. Each dish came with a side of coconut rice and fresh green beans, which like the fish, were cooked perfectly with great flavor. Needless to say, we loved our meals! Had great conversation with a couple fellow diners who are locals, verified this is the place people come for outstanding food and friendly service. Cost is a bit higher than average, we spent a bit over $50 per person, not including any drinks (which btw they have a very good wine selection) but very reasonable for the high quality food and service. Too full for desert, but eyed the carrot cake as one was carried by…looked amazing, and plenty for two or 3 to share. Would I go there again…absolutely! Would I recommend…absolutely!

The food is amazing! We had the shrimp and lobster ceviche, and escargot for appetizers. For main course fried lion fish and the fish trilogy. Dessert was creme brulee and salted caramel cheesecake. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The place has a great ambiance and service. Highly recommend this place!

The best meal I had in Islamorada and it's not even close. There were some people who commented expressing frustration about needing a reservation. But, this is a pretty small restaurant and they wouldn't be able to operate effectively without reservations. This includes the bar area. However, we were able to call and make a reservation in the early afternoon. And look...it's worth it. We had Julia attend to us and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We were celebrating an anniversary and she greeted us with champagne as soon as we were seated. Highly recommend the nut encrusted fish of your choice. The way it is prepared makes for a very tasty dish. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. The menu is certainly on the pricier side, but we'll worth it for a great meal especially where there are a ton of alternatives in the area that do not compare.
