Yes yes yes yes yes! This place is amazing! One of the best before or after beach spots. They have a really good variety on the menu, and it was all packed with so much flavor! I am a taco connoisseur, and I am telling you, you can't go wrong with Papi Taqueria. I can add this to my list of new favorite beach eats! Nothing beats a fresh suntan, salty hair, a margarita in your hand, and a tray full of yummy tacos! 🌮

This place was so good! I was here with family and I think my parents chose the place mostly based on convenient location, but we were all wowed by the food. We got a round of chips with dip trio to start, and then I had the Costa Corn and a Mt. Pleasant Shrimp Taco. The three dips (pico de gallo, queso, and guac) were nothing out of the ordinary but all good, especially the guacamole which had a great texture. My dad and I both got the Costa Corn and were both kind of floored by how good it was - the seasoning was delicious (apparently it’s just Takis seasoning), the corn was juicy, and every bite was bursting with flavour. My taco was great, the shrimp was juicy and cooked well, the toppings were fresh, it was a nice size. The shrimp was chopped up which was more practical to eat than whole shrimp on a small taco. The came with half a grilled pepper (I think serrano), which you can add at your discretion to add heat, but I would advise starting with caution if you don’t al know what you’re getting into.
The decor here is very fun and the people are nice!
This was our first time at Papi’s and we’ve been meaning to try it for a long time. We finally tried it because of their collaboration with Cachitas Kitchen and I’m so glad we did! The staff was super friendly, the beer was cold, and the food was amazing. My husband and I had the cachitacos and the mulitas and both were so delicious. I also really like the interior - very beachy. We will be back!
Food was good but I put an even $40 to go onto my card which included an already $9 tip (on a togo order) and my charge came back as $41 (I take pics or take my receipts everywhere I go so I did compare for certainty), which I get its only a dollar more but it's still not cool to overcharge someones card because imagine if they did that to everyones card - they would manage to get a good chunk of change off of unsuspecting people that way or if someone only had a certain amount of money on the card and you caused an overdraft - but other than that I really enjoy the new menu - 150x better than the old :]

Fully enjoyed the nachos. It’s a small little taco shop. The menu has plenty of interesting options. And best of all it’s just steps from the beach. We ordered the beef nachos. It was served very quickly. There was a fair number of chips. Perhaps a touch more chips then toppings. The taste was great we enjoyed them. There was no heat at all for these tacos. So you may want to ask for something to spice it up. That would have made them better. I would say $18 all said I’m done just for nachos was a little bit pricy. However it was a good amount for two for a beach day. The other prices are a touch high as well, but it is isle of palm so that is a bit expected. The only reason for 4 not 5 is cost to quantities of the food.
On the patio rooftop watching waves roll up to the beach and eating tasty food while a great music playlist is going on…. Does it get any better?
Highly recommend the tuna tacos! Very runny, though so grab napkins! 😅. Pretty view on the rooftop of the ocean. Informal style taqueria with seat-yourself option on the rooftop. We were confused how to order but the bartenders were great and the margarita was strong! 🍹
This is a little gem of a Taco place. The tacos are great and portion sizes were good. I would suggest ordering two and or one of their delicious sides. The inside is a little small but they have a great rooftop area also. They don't allow baby strollers in the first floor area Fyi.
We love this place! The wando nachos (veggie) and taco salad (cilantro vinegarette) are a must have for us, each trip here.
Nice place for lunch - rooftop bar is great if you can find a shady spot! Tacos are delicious; rice could use a bit more flavor.
