Small place, didn't like having to sit at the bar only due to being solo. No reservations accepted. Wish there was more seating. The food was divine and I would return for another visit. The desserts were special and made by the owners wife, loved them so ordered two. Would love to see more French inspired entrees as the menu is somewhat limited. Also the addition of escargot
A great food experience is really hard to come by in the sea of mediocrity you encounter today. From soup to nuts the experience was great. Food amazing, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Service was on point, friendly, present and engaged. Really a wonderful experience. You know it’s a good meal when you talk about it for days. Can’t recommend it enough. Go if you want a true culinary experience.
Just absolutely delicious food. Really well thought out and presented. We stumbled in here by accident while visiting from other parts of NY and NC. Don't typically do blind adventures for food, but wasn't convinced on Ithaca spots. This place was just a gem. If I'm back in this area, 100% will be back here. Was like something out of Boston or NYC
Favorite place to be a bar fly in Ithaca. Come by yourself, come with a few friends and sit at the bar. There is always a large variety of tasty wines.
I’ve never had a bad meal here. I recommend the small bites if you want to have a cheaper meal. If you are on date, buy a bottle of wine, a few small bites and mains. You’re all set
Spectacular experience. Food, service and atmosphere are all exceptional. Well executed wine list with some standouts by the glass.
This is the kind of restaurant that you come to for an experience, not just a meal. Choosing your own 3-5 course journey is essential or you're missing the point. Our server was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide throughout the process.

This place was great. We stopped in here for lunch without a reservation and they squeezed us in. We both got a cup of their clam chowder and it was excellent. For my entree I got the French toast special with egg nog and raspberry. The wife loved her spicy Bloody Mary. Highly recommended. Probably the best clam chowder over ever had; I didn’t want it to end!

Wonderful French cuisine in charming atmosphere. I loved my mocktail, kohlrabi and pear appetizer, and trout mouse. And the house-made sourdough bread was out of this world. Fantastic experience. Highly recommend.
Really outstanding French Wines on tap!!! Wonderful French Onion Soup and Creme Brulee for dessert. Honestly, I thought I was in one of the better French Bistros in Paris, and I have been to many, many. Well done.
Paris style restaurant with the American touch. All dishes were very good.
The wine list is mainly of french wines, I think most of them are overpriced.

I have been here 3 times in the last 3 months and the word to describe my experience is WOW. I want to start with the food. Literally every almost every dish from the starter, main course, and desert we were saying “wow this is great.” Followed passing forks and plates around so everyone could taste. Their service is also spectacular. The first time I went there I was with a person with some major allergies and the waiter and manager both checked in and were very attentive. The second time we were there the credit card machine was down which was a clear stressor but aside from several apologizes you would of never know there was anything wrong because the service was top notch. One of our party was pregnant and the bartender came up with a specialty Mocktail. This is my new favorite place in Ithaca.

Wonderful in all aspects...great wine selection, appetizers and main course. Everyone starting from host, bar tender to server were excellent. Great atmosphere and food was amazing!
Favorite restaurant in Ithaca. I was almost hesitant to leave a review for fear of this spot getting too popular/busy, but everyone needs to know this gem. Some of the best food I have ever had in my life, including in my 12 years living in NYC. Every single dish is incredible - standouts so far have been their heirloom tomatoes (I still dream of these) and their beef tartare (best I have ever had). Add all that up with exceptional service and a lovely atmosphere, and you’ve got pure dining-out delight.
Took my daughter and her roommate here for dinner after moving them in to their dorm.
Short version: Food and Service were excellent and price was reasonable for what we got.
Long version: We all ordered different dishes and all loved it. The girls are under aged and the waitress recommended their house Mocktail "Sophisticated Lady". These were also raved about. The meal portions are not huge but they are reasonable (I like food and I thought the servings were properly sized). You'll be able to finish your meal and still have room for dessert. My daughter and her roommate both said the portion sizes were perfect.
Menu is a la carte. We ordered bread service, 1st course (3), appetizer, entree (3), and dessert (3). All totalled to $185. Coming from Long Island, that was very reasonable.
Exquisite dining experience without putting on airs. Delicious and fresh - delight to the tastebuds.
What a fantastic spot! We arrived and started sitting at the bar, but tables turned over and we were able to move to a table within 10 minutes. Excellent food and wine selections- and the service was top notch.
It was a great start to a celebration road trip!
