Excellent atmosphere with exposed wood beams and a fireplace in the green room. The service itself was good but it took a very long time to get the main course. We didn't have dessert and the meal still took 2 and a quarter hours so make sure you aren't in a rush. The cheese platter appetizer had a nice assortment of four good cheeses, plus some dried fruit and some grapes and of course crackers. It was a large portion. The salmon was dry and overcooked, but the caramelized onions on it partially made up for it. It came with wild rice and asparagus (the vegetable of the day) which were fine. Our other dish was the stuffed peppers. It was okay, though not very exciting. It came with a huge quantity of asparagus which was appreciated. Each entree comes with a nice little mixed salad. The sweet potato fries were okay. All in all it's a good place to dine particularly if you are staying at the hotel.

this is seriously the best penne alla vodka i’ve ever had at a restaurant! my advice: pay the fee for adding chicken on top; it’s so worth it. also, the servers were friendly and the bistro was so cozy and warm :)

The place is so cozy and amazing to find in Ithaca! It's like an old house converted to a restaurant. I am a picky eater and I scrutinize everything I eat and I can tell you the French toast is one of the best French toast I had in the US. The Red Roasted Sandwich with avocado is AMAZING! The perfect crust of bread with buttery flavor. It's like your mom made it while your studying for your finals in winter, this is how cozy it is. The coffee espresso drinks are delicious and it has the perfect sweetness and flavor. it is just the perfect balance.

This is our second time having breakfast here but the first time we stayed at the inn and ate in our room. The sausage was excellent. and the Liege waffles my wife had were great. We have never tried them that way and they were so good! The fruit bowl that came with breakfast seemed fresh and had huge blackberry's. It also came with 2 scones that were perfect. Portion sizes were generous and service was very good. The atmosphere in the dining area was no better than OK. The front windows could have been cleaner. I think there is a nicer room than the one we were in. Overall a very nice breakfast. We will be returning.

Absolutely fantastic service at the Bistro! Our waitress was attentive, kind, and gave us great recommendations. Breakfast was a delicious classic style. I had the avocado toast with a bottomless cup of coffee. My partner did the classic breakfast combo with a Bellini. Everything was tasty and as expected. The building itself is full of charm and character. I would gladly go back.

I recently was on a bus trip and we stopped for lunch. As a group we had placed our food orders ahead of time. A few days before the trip I had to restrict my diet which ruled out just about everything there was to eat! However Jessica Wiggins could not have been more understanding and accommodating, she made every effort to make sure all my dietary needs were met, she didn’t make it awkward for me and I loved my lunch. Thank you Jessica!!

This was our last dinner on our honeymoon and I'm so glad it was open in the evening for our last night at La Tourelle. My wife had the Roasted Chicken and I had the Shrimp Risotto. Her chicken breast was a little dry, as they tend to be. Her house salad was all fresh from the garden we had just walked past! My shrimp and spinach risotto cakes were deliciously adorned with lavender petals.

Went for a wine pairing dinner. The wine pairings were ok, but the food at the bistro rescued the night. The octopus, the lamb, the crab cakes, the chowder were all fantastic. They were locally sourced and it showed. Wow, very impressive. I can't wait to go back and try the brunch (review to come), but i am sure it will be as delightful and comforting as the dinner I just had. It's an Ithaca area must!

Very cozy and old timey! Great little secluded spot with amazing service. If you're visiting Ithaca and want to experience a little peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Ithaca Commons this is the place!

Food was excellent. 2 short ribs and Tarragon chicken, all came out really well. Deserts were also very high quality. Place was dead on a Saturday night which was a shame as it seems to be a gem of a restaurant in the area.

My family has gone here on a regular basis for over 2 years. While it's not overly fancy, we have always been met with pleasant staff, great service and wonderful food.

My husband and I ate multiple meals here. Breakfast and dinner as well as takeout dessert; the dishes listed below do not include all that we ate. We have never been disappointed in any dish we have tried. Fabulous food and great service always.

We came here for breakfast, and we're completely satisfied by the experience. We arrived fairly early (reservations at 7:30am), and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Service was wonderful and friendly, and the food was exactly what we needed and delicious. Will definitely return.

Went here on Ithaca Colleges graduation day with a party of 10. We arrived 20 minutes early for our 7:30pm reservation and were able to be seated right away. To my surprise, but not a huge deal, the menu that was posted online 2 days prior was replaced with a completely different menu. Like I said not a huge deal (although I was looking forward to the Delmonico Steak). We ordered one of every appetizer (stuffed mushrooms, humus, crab tacos and a brie cheese plate) all were good. My wife really enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms. Quite a good amount of time passed before our main courses arrived. This did not bother us as we were celebrating and we had relatives with us that we had not seen in along time, so it gave us time to catch up. Everyone enjoyed their main dishes. The pasta with the spicy marinara sauce was a bit too spicy for some. I tried it myself (and I like heat) and I thought it was a bit much for a pasta dish. I had the Lamb Lollipops which were cooked to a medium rare and were delicious. If I had one complaint, they were a bit on the salty side. Some of us had dessert and they all were delicious. All and all it was a good experience and we left the establishment about 2 and half hours later. If anything, I would advise the chef to dial back on the seasonings a little bit. But other than that....no complaints here.

We had a big party on a Sunday morning with no reservation. It was clear the place was busy, so some service was not great, but the food was very tasty. There was not a bad thing among the things we eat. At the table we had oat covered French toast, eggs in a cup (Highly recommended), Eggs and hash, apple fritters, omelet and chicken salad sandwich place the pastry basket. There were clean plates everywhere. The service was very polite and accommodating, but had some hiccups. They did say they were training lots of new staff and were not expecting the crowds they got (It was crowded). They did try to make it right. Overall we will certainly be back.

Great food but the restaurant needs a little sprucing up. I loved eating there.
