Heard a lot about this restaurant. They have a great variety of items to offer. If you want to have a taste of authentic Peruvian cuisine, then I suppose this place is not gonna upset you. Staffs are friendly. Decoration is decent. Reasonably priced items.

Authentic Peruvian Comestibles. Urubamba was previously known as Inti Raymi when it was located a few storefronts down the block. As Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun), votes were very positive by Urbanspoon contributors. A US contributor marked Inti Raymi as closed when the venue changed. It was likely a fair judgement, so that Urubamba votes and assessments would reflect the changes instituted in the ambiance and decor.
On June 3rd, we started with a pitcher of Chicha Morada. I tackled Urubamba's Tacú-Tacú con Carne. The presentation is that the rice and canary beans are released from a ramekin to present a mound. The beef is cut into large cubes and placed atop the Tacú-Tacú. Lime-marinated red onions are sprinkled about the plate. A mini-cup of Peruvian hot pepper sauce is placed on the table.
My wife ordered a bowl of parihuela, a soup stocked with shellfish. Some versions may include pescado, this one does not have fish. She liked it. Her main course was grilled flattened chicken breast which she considered to be dry.
Dessert was a fine rendition of arroz con leche.
Add Seco de Cabrito as a worthy dish and a special of parla (avocado) rellena in a subsequent visit.

So we wandered a few blocks over to Urubamba for some Peruvian food. Urubamba is a clean, comfortable, relatively spacious place with a fairly large, varied menu. The variety was arguably

Was in search of ceviche and this place is the truth, also got lomo saltado, papá ala huancaina & chupe de camarones and sangria to drink all very delicious. Decor was so cute and made me feel at home. Servers were kind and they had a musician playing a guitar as well. Excellent ceviche

This is about as authentic as it gets in a warm and cozy environment. We stumbled upon this place on Google Maps and walked in on a Friday night at 6:30. The place was half full but lively. We ordered fish ceviche which is amazing. A beef stew with a salsa verde on it and a 1/2 steak. It all came with rice & beans, salad and fries. Everything total was under $100. Oh, and you have to try the sweet tamale for dessert.

Great food, great service, when i went there was not gratuity included… but the menu does state that they may add gratuity for some tables and on certain holidays. The menu is clear about this, so there’s no reason to be surprised if it does happen. Also, hot sauce for the table cost us only 50 cents, not $5 like a previous reviewer claimed. We’ve been here many times and always have a great experience!

Authentic traditional Peruvian food. The food was really tasty, our waitress was very nice and the prices are not bad at all for the massive amount of food that you get. There was a 15min wait at peak hours. Will definitely be back!

really lovely & tasty experience-at different times; music & setting & great service so comfortable for 2 to 8 people each time we have attended recently in their schedule. MY personal favorites are PISCO SOUR & LOMO SALTADO but all delighted by their selections!

The music is not too loud but is not too low, it’s just perfect ambient and mixed songs. I loveeeeed the choros a la chalaca. Están súper frescos. Super fresh. Highly recommended. Me encanto todo

It was really tasty! Peruvian food is delicious and this place got that flavor. I ate picante de gallina, papa rellena and Chicha Morada. I liked! Also the place is very comfortable and exquisite decorations, dim light and very cozy.

We went for a birthday event. The appetizers were decent, the ceviche was the best dish followed by the octopus. Don’t forget to try the chicha morada, delicious! The other dishes were pretty bland. The seafood rice was lacking sazón and one of the lomo salteados was salty.

Amazing restaurant. The foods top notch and service was warm and friendly. They have a wine and cocktail menu. I was told they have great sangria. We shared a bottle of Malbec and ordered 2 appetizers. The small Jalea is plenty for 2 or 3 people. It was amazing. The fish and seafood was fried perfectly. Best fried shrimp I have had in a long time. We also had the Huancaina. It was so good. Sort of like a deconstructed potato salad. For dinner we had the skirt steak and fried steak with Tallarin Verde. Tallarin Verde is a delicious pesto noodle. It was amazing. We took most of dinner home. It was a great late night snack. We're planning on going back in a few weeks with friends. Looking forward to trying other items. The space is small and fills quickly. We went later on Friday night and had a 5-10 min wait. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Totally recommend this place.
