Gusto, an Italian restaurant on Beach Boulevard near Penman Road, is a brand new addition to the Jacksonville Beach food scene. Owners Walter Bianchi and Tonino DiBella are long-time Jacksonville business owners and are passionate about traditional Italian cuisine. Their goal is to use fresh ingredients in their food and to capture “a taste of Rome” in each dish. Chef DiBella has been cooking up Italian fare at his various restaurants all over town since 1986. And apparently he has gained quite a few devoted fans over the years. Even though Gusto just opened a month or so ago, it seems that the restaurant has already become a popular spot for both good Italian food and live entertainment. While Jacksonville already has it’s fair share of Italian eateries, we were eager to try out this new one and see if it could earn itself a spot on our list of go-to favorites.
A lovely new Italian restaurant for our town, offering authentic Roman cuisine. The space is beautifully appointed. The atmosphere is alive and open, with cozy private booths on the side. The menu listed linguine with red clam sauce was very good. The evening special cannelloni was really excellent. Delicious wine by the glass. Full bar. Owners Tonino and Walter deserve your patronage.
Don’t be fooled by the outside of the restaurant and that it is located in a strip mall. Instead, walk in and be transported back to Italy. The first thing you notice upon entering the eatery is the aroma of fresh Italian food. We spent two hours leisurely dining on Shrimp Gusto and Chicken Francese. The salad and Italian wedding soup paired with the bread were very tasty. Also, had two glasses of house cab for $12, what a deal! If you want to dine at Gusto, I suggest making reservations. Ask for the booths under the arches if your looking for something a bit more private and romantic.
Bread appetizer - complimentary and off the chain.
Italian Wedding soup - outstanding.
Chicken Parm - unbelievably tender and well prepared.
This place is hidden gem.
And live music on Friday.
Went here a long time ago at a different location and I was shocked to see how beautiful it was and the new building they’re in is in an amazing spot. Our sever James was incredible he went over the whole menu and even mentioned that they have live music every day but Tuesday. This was the dance floor before we ate and 40 minutes after, very lively
My experience at this cute little Italian joint was fantastic! I loved everything about it; the drinks, the apps, and of course the entrees. A must have was the 8oz meatball, unbelievably delicious. I will 100% be back for a dinner date. I didnt not try to pizza but next time i come back i sure will!
Absolutely fantastic!!
Came here for mothers day and it was so good. It was perfect from drinks to entrees. They also serve pizza but i didnt get to try. I will certainly comeback to try.
Amazing food! We’ve eaten so many dishes from here and love every one of them! The pizza is phenomenal, prosciutto and arugula or sausage, mushroom, onion are our favorites!! The gnocchi is also a win win!
The food is always on point. Good drinks and live music on Saturday nights.
Definitely a top tier "date night" spot. The food is excellent, the service impeccable. Great live music and overall romantic atmosphere.
There was a small happy hour drink menu from 5-7 with house wine, beer and a handful of sweet drinks. We had calamari, egg plant parm and spaghetti amatriciana. The meals came with a salad served with a homemade dressing that was like a cheesy ranch. They serve bread with a seasoned dipping oil when you first arrive. Our server, Anton, was excellent. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return.
Dinner was delicious and wonderful. Our waiter was professional and friendly. Only suggestion would be to open around 3 pm for those attending Mayo Clinic and need to eat earlier due to fasting periods for tests.

Always feel like family when I dine at the famous Gusto's of Jax! The 904 is lucky to have such an authentic Italian place to have a pallet pleasing experience. I've been coming here for over seven years solo, in groups, special occasions and it never disappoints. From pesce pasta dishes, to the napoli style pizza, the must have meatball antipasti, not to mention the wine choices - molto bene.
They also do live music various nights of the week. Check out their social media pages for updates! Grazie mille.

We will be back again before we leave on Monday, that’s how good this place is! Even if you don’t get a house salad with your meal, do yourself a favor and ORDER one! The dressing is so amazing!! Everything was done scratch and you could tell because of the flavor it was all made with love!
