We stopped in here on a nice, lazy, Monday afternoon. We had been out in the sun all day so we chose to sit inside to keep cool. The restaurant itself is well-lit and welcoming. We had Felishia (sp?) as our server and she was awesome. She knew the menu inside and out and offered some very helpful suggestions. On her advice we ordered a half-order of onion rings. Great call on both the choice and the size. The order is plenty and I fear to think of what a full order looks like. As for how they taste: Oh. My. God... Really, they are that good.
Felishia had PERFECT timing with the refills. Its a small nitpicky thing, but its something I always look for. She nailed it.
I got "The Smitty". It was sloppy, but in a good way. The way that BBQ is supposed to be, but it also didn't completely fall apart halfway through eating it, either. The sausage want too spicy and the brisket felt like it melted in your mouth. It was amazing. I had to spice it up a teensy bit with some of the sauces that they keep on the tables, but only because I'm craving spice on everything these days. The sauces they make in house are amazing! They could make crackers into an appetizing meal.
My wife loved her BBQ chicken sandwich. It looked amazing, and she confirmed it looked as good as it tasted.
I'm angry at myself that I moved to Jacksonville 6 months ago and it took me this long to visit here. I should have come here MUCH sooner, and I WILL be back! So good!
I am a fan of all the Mojos locations in Jacksonville, but Jax Beach is probably my favorite. The staff is friendly and the food comes out quickly. I've never had a bad experience. Try the burnt ends appetizer!! It is a bowl of those delicious crispy brisket ends. Smokey, seasoned, perfect. I usually ask for "lean" pieces.
Brought large group for dinner. Very accommodating and attentive. Service and food was great. Food came out quick and hot for group of 14. I would recommend to anyone
Great place for southern BBQ and blues. Prices are in line with the quality and quantity of the menu items. The bar is large and has ample inventory. While I've never met the owner personally, I know several folks who have nothing but positive things to say about him. This is one of several locations. Being a home-smoker of any meats I can get my hands on, I enjoy comparing the flavors from Mojo's to my personal creations.
Yum!. Everything I've had here is delicious. My favs are actually their Salmon, the mac n cheese is amazing, the green beans and collards are also delish! The staff is friendly but a little slow, each time I've gone it seems to take a while to be greeted, sat, order taken, drinks filled, check, etc. I will still keep going back for the Salmon and veggies though.
Awesome Brisket!. Some of the best brisket I have had, tender with great bark. Sweet sauce worked well with the brisket. BBQ beans had good flavor, but poor texture (was more like mashed beans). Coleslaw was fresh and fine cut, also with nice flavor.
Food and service is great! Too bad the music is ridiculously loud which makes it difficult to have a conversation with people at that same table as you.
The best. Always a pleasure to eat at Mojo's. Chopped North Carolina style bbq is awesome even if sometimes a tiny bit over-spiced (spice should be in vinegar sauce more so than the pork itself). Excellent fried green tomatoes for app and super sides. You may wait a bit for a table during busy times especially weekends after 6:00 or so but it goes pretty fast. Thankful for real bbq in Jax Beaches!
I have eaten a lot of BBQ in Texas and TN and can say that Mojo has nothing to apologize for. This place is great, I simply love it! It is all good- brisket is incredible, so is the pork and the ribs. I can't go without getting the whole hawg so i can get a taste of everything and have lots of leftovers!
Very good restaurant bbq, fast service, and good eye candy also.
BB-licious. BBQ the way it is supposed to be. And the Mac n cheese is a favorite....even for me..The Big Mac!

Love!!. Husband and I went on Saturday night and it wasn't crowded at all but I think since One Spark was in town, that was the reason why it wasn't packed out. At first entrance, the place is laid back, very large, inviting space with high ceilings and plenty of room at the bar or booth/table to choose from. I ordered the "Mojo Mary" and found it a little too spicy for my taste but was tasty and garnished beautifully. I then got the "White Sangria" it was delicious!! We settled on ordering "The Whole Hawg" to kinda get a sampler of all they had to offer and was not disappointed. I think it's the best BBQ I've ever eaten. So much food!!! We had two really big takeout boxes when we left. Even the sides are fantastic. I'm allergic to Gluten and found this menu had plenty to choose from and all the sauces are gluten free, so WIN!!!! I've read other reviews that said the turkey is dry, not mine!! Carolina BBQ was to die for, ribs tender and juicy, brisket was perfect. Chicken was so tender on the inside and had a crispy skin. We'll be back, I love this place.
HOLY COW! We stopped in here on accident! Wonderful smoked chicken wing appetizer, chicken nachos were pretty good. Then for the main course. Had the dry rub barbecue ribs! Knocked my socks off with just a dab of the chipotle barbecue sauce! Large helpings and wonderful sides! Everybody loved all their food! Bar had 4 beers on tap but a decent selection of bottles. Wait staff lacked a little in skills. Will definitely go back!
My husband and I loved the food here. He had the Reuben and I had the pulled pork. The meat is very lean and high quality. The variety of sauces was also nice. Would definitely recommend this place.
This is so delicious! Pulled pork is the most tender I've ever had! This place puts Sonnys woodys and bonos to shame! Def worth trying! I know we will be back!
All Around Good. Went this week with coworkers for lunch and we were seated promptly, and had an attentive server. There was plenty of pork on my sandwich and the bun was nice and soft. The french fries were also plentiful and tasty. Mojo's is always a popular choice and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Good quality and quick. Good quality food that comes up quick, nice staff. Only complaint is that it's never consistant. The sides always taste different, which means I get a 50/50 shot at liking my side. Other then that, I go there a lot and it's good.
Best BBQ in JAX. I was never big on eating BBQ other than at the house until I tried Mojo's.. Hands down the best NC BBQ I've ever had! All the other places seem so slimey and stale. The NC BBQ sandwich is godlike and the fried chicken dinner will put you in a well deserved coma of enjoyment.
If you haven't tried it yet, do it tonight! You'll love it

Firstly the mac n cheese is pretty good. Ribs were ok. Chicken average. I wouldn't slap my momma over this but it's still pretty good.
Great Food and Service. We went on a weeknight and orderd the "Whole Hawg." About 10 minutes later our server came out and apologized saying the food was delayed, but brought out a complimentary onion ring appetizer and gave us a free round. Shortly after that our food arrived. Everything was great. There were 3 of us and the portions were huge. We had enough left over for another full dinner.

And if anyone likes sweet potatos, their mashed sweet potatos are incredible.

Great!. The pulled pork sandwich is great. Lots of sauce choices on the table. The collard greens were bland.
MMMMmmmmmm !!. Great food at reasonable prices. My first experience was fantastic. The food was packed with flavor and came to my table fast and with a smile. I would eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if i could.
Yummy!. Great food! My husband and I had the "whole hawg" and loved it! We had enough left over to feed us plus my son the next day! Even reheated it was still good. Service was great and so was the entertainment. The Legendary JC's were playing, the service was friendly, the beer was cold and the food was great! Made for a wonderful night out.
Great Q for Florida. The meat and side dishes were great and they give you a lot of food for the money. I have been there twice and both times I had a great meal. The best Q I've had in Jax!!

Best BBQ in Jax. I lived in Memphis for 7 years and loved the BBQ up there. Mojo's is by far the best BBQ in Jax...I even bring my in-laws from Memphis there when they're in town. I've always had great service and excellent food. I have tried most of their meats, and they are all very good. The mac n' cheese is about as good as it gets. You can't go wrong if you're looking for great BBQ and a nice atmosphere.
Really love this place, took the boyfriend to it for the first time and he enjoyed hisself and I myself, love the atmosphere there.
Good BBQ, and a Few Other Goodies. Yes, Mojo's BBQ is great, but their fried catfish is also really good. They're also the only place I know of in JAX where you can get CheerWine soda from NC in the glass bottle. All that and Banana Pudding? Sold...

The pink ring means its Smoked!!. Great atmosphere combined with BBQ equals good times. I like the beef brisket personally (the burnt ends of course) and the ribs. Most of the time they have excellent collard greens and the mac is to die for. Another standout is the sweet potato mash, super sweet and decadent with pecans, what a great addition to their already great menu. Sometimes when they are slow the meat has a tendency to be a little on the dry side, but it is pretty much a non-issue.
LOVE Mojo..... My husband and I don't venture out to Mojo often but when we do we are ALWAYS impressed. The food is great and the vibe is always relaxed. Really good BBQ turkey salad. I can't wait for Mojo Riverside!!! Coming soon.....

Got to try mojo!. I am not really a BBQ lover but went here for my husband who loves BBQ. OMG! This place could possibly transform me into a BBQ fanatic! It is the most amazing BBQ ever! Their sauces are what really stand out. Just delicious!!!! The restaurant is casual and cool and staff super nice. Totally recommend!!!
Enjoyed the BBQ very much. The sides are all homemade and we loved them all, but the smoked corn was very unique and my favorite. Briscuit was tender and not dried out like some. The blues atmosphere is fun and casual.
I haven't had one bad thing at Mojo. Best BBQ around!

I agree this is BBQ. I love the Carolina pulled pork and the brisket. See my photos. They have large enough sides to share. They have fall off the bone ribs too. Good early as fresh is best 11am or after 4pm. Enkoy
Worth the trek. Hidden away in a brand-new shopping plaza that is surrounded by the never-ending construction on Beach Blvd is this newest outpost of the Mojo family of barbecue restaurants. This place is worth seeking out - it is huge, comfortable, fun, extremely clean, and they serve awesome barbecue. Live music and large booths make it a great weekend hotspot.
