Very good. Went for lunch during the week. Had the mango mojito which was very good and had the jerk wrap. Delicious. Service was good also.
Food and drinks were great! Frozen Friday with 3$ frozen drinks is a must do. Our server Brooke was awesome and suggested good drinks and good food

Loved it! My mahi sandwich was massive and for an excellent price. The service was excellent despite being very busy. I went on a Friday and they had frozen daquiris for only $3 dollars! I will deffinetly be returning

This is a go to for my boyfriend and I. Usually we end up here whenever we are at the beach. Prices are good for the amount of food you get. Drinks are good and not outrageously priced. After I think 9 you have to show id to get in. I've not had a bad experience there ever, and service is usually very quick. Same management that ran jam rock before they closed.
Surprised. We had a groupon for this place. I was a little skeptical because I thought it might be bar food and just so so. We were thrilled with what we got. We had an appetizer of conch fritters. They were delicious, big, light balls, full of conch. The remoulade sauce added to the flavor. My dinner was the mahi bowl and the fish was so fresh that it still tasted good the next day when I ate the leftovers. My husband had the fish tacos and was very happy. He enjoyed the mango coleslaw. We will definitely go back.
Comfortable and laid back. Try the conch chowder if they have it that day, good stuff!
The food is wonderful. We love the mahi bowl. Homemade salad dressing would be nice. The restaurant looks like a dive but the food is worth it.

All in All a big thumbs UP. Jacksonville Beach is a laid back town with a fun night life environment. I was in the area for a conference and I actually ended up going to Blue Water twice. The first time was on a Tuesday and I went in for lunch and had a Turkey burger. It was really good, most ground turkey gets dried out but there's had a sweet aioli on it and tasted great. Everything was super fresh and the atmosphere is very beachy and relaxed. The staff is very attractive and they were always in a good mood. Now the real kicker was the next day.. I went in for dinner and had the surf and turf. Both the steak and lobster were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the jerk macaroni and cheese was insane too. It got better though.. They had a fun game of bingo going on this night apparently they do every Wednesday. I played and won a $20 bar tab! Around 10PM fog started rolling down stairs and i heard some very heavy bass music upstairs. I walked up and it was a hell of a party, wall to wall girls and a great DJ, not to mention they had vodka and red bull for only $2. It was fun but i'm a little old for that so i went back downstairs, the thing i really liked was that they separate the two. If you wanna hang and watch some TV there's a bar downstairs which is relaxed but if you wanna party head upstairs and rage it. All in all the food, service and atmosphere was great. I can't wait to be in that town again so I can hit it up. 5 stars.
Amazing!!!!!. The best food ever! Our family vacations here every year and we finally found this place. Definitely a repeat!

Very Pleasantly Surprised. Tried Bluewater for the 1st time last week. Although we live in the area, had not had a great desire to try it because it looked a rehash of Jamrock, which we definitely didn't care for. Definitely not the case. Although a Caribbean theme, the menu was a lot more varied, and even better, it tasted good! My wife had the jerk chicken wrap--said the chicken was perfectly done and flavorful, and the wrap was fresh. The sweet potato fries were very good (even for me, and I don't particularly care for sweet potato fries). I had the steak melt. Claimed to be sliced tenderloin and it indeed appeared to be so. It was a bit more done than my preference, but I had failed to indicate a preference (though I was not asked either). My side was the grilled mac and cheese. Tasty. Very modest selection of beer, but at least they had a couple of specialty brews (420 and Magic Hat) and their own brand (a simple lager, which is not my taste). Drinks were well made by the barkeep, who also works at Sawgrass CC.
Meal for two and four drinks (we walked there) came to $51 (including 25% tip). We'll definitely go back.
FABULOUSLY WONDERFUL. Lunched at Blue Water on our spring break vacay. DELICIOUS food and FRIENDLY staff. Coconut Chicken sandwich was fricking awesome. Best sandwich ever! Mango cole slaw was creative and very tasty. Our server Amber was so friendly, fun and accommodating. Loved the color and decor theme and the Caribbean music was so inviting. Can't wait to head back. Thanks for a wonderful experience Blue Water.

A diamond in the rough. Bluewater Island Grille. How could one accurately describe such an exceptional establishment? It's a brand new restraunt and bar, and has only been open for about a month but is more unique than ANYTHING I have seen in Jacksonville Beach in the 5 years that I have lived here. It's prime location on 3rd street south across from Freebird puts it right in the middle of the most popular places to hang beachside. It's convenient for a nice walk or bike ride and is just a hop and a skip away from the sandy trim of the atlantic ocean, which makes it incomarible to anywhere else. The outside of the building is quite eyecatching and is completely lit up with bright blue LED lights that you can see from just about anywhere on third stree or even A1A so you cant really miss it if your an out-of-towner looking for a place to cool down on a hot summer night. Inside the bar tables and bar are also lit with LED lights that are coordinated to blink/change color/"chase" each other to whatever music is playing! It also has 4 light up custom made, bubbly, color changing water columns on the second floor that are the very first to be used as structural support for a building! The owner of Bluewater is a Jacksonville local, grew up in Ponte Vedra, attended Nease high school ,graduated from UNF in 2007 and is very invested in the community. This makes the community ties to the place very strong which makes the atmosphere even more attractive for everyone whether you live down the street or your from the hills of kentucky. The food is amazing expressing a carribbean theme with unique dishes that tingle your tastebuds including tropical frozen cocktails of all kinds, an ahi tuna appetizer that is to die for, jerk chiken and i kid you not the best surf n turf in jacksonville! The service is amazing, the location is essential and it hosts the hottest bands the jacksonville circuit has to offer. Clearly I believe that this place is one special establishment and i feel when I discover a local gem such as this it deserves to be recognized. I will definately be back and will continue to be a dedicated patron because there is just no other comparible place in jax beach where you can kick back, relax, sip on a refreshing cocktail and hear the waves of the atlantic ocean crashing against the sand from the top deck like you can at Bluewater Island Grille.
Great Caribbean-Style Food!. This place has a nice Key West/Nassau atmosphere. The food was outstanding - they are not afraid to use spice. The jerk shrimp had a bit of a kick and tasted like it was made with Walkerswood jerk paste, which is the real stuff from Jamaica. I also recommend the blackened mahi tacos and the jerk mac & cheese. Portions are large so be prepared to bring home leftovers.
The food is amazing!! They have really healthy choices and good drink specials too.. I like the 2$ bud light platinums on Friday.. Great spot to eat or party!
COOL PLACE!!!. Pretty blue and yellow building, looks kinda like a Key West place... but how cool!, kids menu and kids eat free on Tuesdays! Blue Margarita is YUMMY! and I suggest the grilled chicken avocado BLT!!... my husband had the coconut chicken sandwich which was also DELICIOUS!.. clean friendly atmosphere! We WILL be back!
Awesome food and atmosphere!!!. We went there Friday and it was awesome! We had the Turkey Burger 99% fat free with a side of Jerk Mac n Cheese which was to die for. Loved it! live music, great food, what else would you ask for! Will definitely go back!
Pretty cool place. Went there for the first time during the weekend, late night. Up stairs was lively, music was pretty much hip hop, which is cool for the beaches. When i was there it was busy, so getting drinks was a wait, but they were also strong which paid off. All in all, it was a cool place, especially if your looking for a hip hop bar at the beaches.
Great, fun bar with superb service! The food is good but Made-to-order so it can take a little time but you can have drinks and laughs while you wait. They have live music several nights and great daily specials. The daiquiri's are good but very sweet.
Go for the drinks and upstairs bar with oceanview. Bring lots of friends, there's room for dancing in the upstairs bar area as well.
I always have fun at this place. DJ is always good and for the first time i had the Oyster Rockefeller and it was cooked very well. The reason i gave it four stars was because the bartender made our first drinks with the right amount of alcohol but the second drinks were more chaser. 😒
