Went to Mandarin today and I gotta say they did not let down, stellar service and great tasting food. The young man that assisted me and my wife today was very friendly and helpful, I’d recommend visiting here and enjoying the hibachi and sushi!
Honestly is the first time for long long time we enjoyed a Chinese food… since we arrived from miami we don’t had the opportunity before to taste the wonderful taste and flavors of the Chinese food.. all was clean 🧼, the waitress who’s attended our table was super very nice . Yesterday was her first day of work i she did our time there fantastic. Th owner is very pending about customers and I haven’t words for describing how beautiful experience we had in your restaurant. Guys keeping doing this job and continue keeping the quality of food. If is possible expanding your business to Raleigh, we need one here like your business !!thank youuu
Really nice atmosphere. Food was hot and really tasty! Will definitely be coming back. The ramen was hot and spicy just how I like it. Sushi was also really good. Reasonably priced.
This place has to be, HANDS DOWN, the best Japanese restaurant in ALL of Jacksonville. Everything from the hibachi dishes, to the sushi, the ramen, and even the appetizers are incredibly good. The seasoning is just right on everything we tried.
The waitress was very friendly and helped in choosing dishes and handled our large party very well.
If you are in the mood for really good Japanese cuisine, you can’t do better than Mandarin Asian Bistro!
Me and the wife love coming here. Friendly atmosphere and great tasting food. We have been here 2-3 times and never have a belly ache like we do from other places
Good food for the price point. The customer service isn’t bad, but it isn’t anything above the rest. I’ve had beef and broccoli as well as their fried rice dish. The food is flavorful, and they have plenty of options.
Spicy pork belly Ramen was absolutely delicious, and the server was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I’ll definitely be back!!
Loved the food and good service. The presentation of the food was really good, well cooked and flavorful dishes. Best pineapple fried in a long time, honey dew bobba tea was awesome.
This was my fist time at this restaurant, and it was amazing! My friend suggested I try the Pineapple Fried Rice, so I did- the pictures don't do this dish justice, it was delicious! It includes shrimp and chicken, with pineapples and raisins, all served inside the pineapple, garnished with a pretty flower or umbrella, topped with a few chopped scallion onions. The restaurant was very clean, and it's atmosphere was very mellow. The waitress was very kind and attentive, and greeted our table with a smile😉 I'll definitely be going back soon! 💕
My best friend and I visited this restaurant for the first time. We ordered a Thai tea and Taro tea for drinks, which was refreshing and cold. We ordered the pork belly buns as our appetizers. The bun dough was fluffy and the fresh veggies, tender pork belly, and sweet hoisin sauce was delicious.
For lunch, we ordered 3 sushi rolls and miso soups. The Alaska roll and Spicy Tuna rolls were fresh, delicious, and visually pleasing. The Boston roll wasn't the best, but it was fun to try something new. This roll consisted of lettuce, shrimp, and mayo, which was sounded good but wasn't the lunch favorite.
The customer service was top-notch. Our server was kind, professional, and attentive to our needs. The cozy, quiet environment was really nice, and we enjoyed the upbeat music that wasn't overpowering. I will be back soon!
I think the food here is made with love and care. I had the Ramen curry noodle and it was off the chain. A lot of times you see celery and I’m not a fan. I think it’s just “filler” food. They didn’t put any celery in it. The Teriyaki sauce was yummy…. Way better than Swansboro’s Asian Bamboo. Andrea is a super nice and personable. You’re welcome.
Finally found my sushi spot in Jacksonville. Have been to four sushi places in the area. None of them make the sushi correctly. This establishment clearly cares about their sushi and actually makes the rice correctly!!! Seasoned it properly with the rice vinegar and the little sugar that’s added to the vinegar when making the seasoning for the rice after you cook it. I’m sure they also use the Kombu as well (for those who don’t know; it’s a type of kelp) You most not skip those three crucial ingredients if you want to make the sushi correctly! Also had the gyoza and a side of fried rice. Delicious. Not one item I have ordered here has been nothing but spectacular! Mind you I’ve been here three times now. Not once has the food ever been bad or just mediocre. It’s always perfectly executed! If you want sushi and I mean sushi that’s made correctly and excellent taste. Look no further than here! This is the place to go! Will be coming back many many times in the future. Thank you Olive for being such a polite kind fun waitress to have! Will always request to have you as my waiter just because of the way you were from the very first visit I made here. You truly are awesome. Attentive. Never rushed me. Answered any questions I had. Drinks are amazing as well. Has a full bar. They don’t skimp on the alcohol. They actually give you what you pay for! THANK YOU MANDARIN ASIAN BISTRO!!!! Spectacular food. Polite fun waiters. Strong drinks, spectacular sushi, and other entree items!
The place allows dine in and it was very neat and clean. Waited was kind and cortious. My appetizer was the Sampler Box Delicious by the way. I ordered General Chicken and just the right amount of spice very flavorful The hot and sour soup was the Best I ever tasted In all NC. My Friend ordered the Pepper Steak Everything was Delicious.
I will be returning ..
My family loves this place! I’m Asian so I’m picky about Asian foods. My family is adventurous with foods, they’re picky also. We’ve been coming here since they opened and have always had good service and great food. Most recently, I went for lunch by myself and got the 3 sushi roll lunch special for only $15. I got a similar amount at Publix last week and it was over $20 and obviously the quality/experience isn’t as good. I only trust a few places with sushi here in town (obviously here, Sake and Publix,) because I know the seafood is reliably fresh.
I usually get vegetable pad thai and ask for it extra, extra spicy. Their paid thai is my favorite in town (only second to Indochine in Wilmington… but who wants to drive and hope for a table there.)
I’ll never forget about 3 years ago they brought a little fried ice cream for my kid’s birthday without me asking.
Things we like: My kid usually gets ramen or chicken pad thai and my husband likes the dinner bento boxes. There’s a crazy mango roll (or something like that) that is oddly amazing if you want something different.
Excellent meals here. Good service and we will be back!
We LOVE mandarin. We've eaten so much from here and it never dissapoints. The pork belly ramen is the best ramen I've ever had. The drunken noodles (mei fun) is the most flavorful I've ever had! We love their loyalty program too! 10% off annually!
I had the Ramen. Everything was packaging separately, the meat, the veggies, the seasoning, even the broth was in a container separate from the noodles. Didn't really care for that, but the service and atmosphere was nice. Will try again!
