We knew one of the employees and that's how we knew about the place. We had a wonderful experience. Our server was very attentive, while also giving us some space. Uncle Buck is my favorite drink. Creme Brulee was delish. My only negative was it was a bit warm in the restaurant (and no it wasn't because I was drinking). Other than that, 10/10 would recommend and come back.
I love this little spot. Everything is super fresh & well prepared. The intricate details speak for themselves; thoughtfully planned menu & design concept. It’s worth noticing when your owner, chef & line cook go out to greet tables & run food.
Love this place. A very comfortable and contemporary restaurant with a flair for tasty food. It's a very creative menu like none I have seen of late. Great attention to detail and service! I would strongly recommend Rue Saint Marc.
It would appear that French American cooking has been reinvented in San Marco, coupling impeccable technique with exciting bold flavors. Rue provides a peaceful respite from the chain restaurants and smartphone-toting crowds. The dining room is cozy but not overly crowded. Few booths, a community table, bar seating and patio. Unlike many new hot spots, you need not strain to hear your dining partner. Fresh ingredients, "right sized" portions and warm friendly hospitality dominate. Chef would do good to make introductions with his guests as he will be in high demand and emptying wallets with the low-key crowd of us neighborhood regulars and the occasional pre- or post-theatre groups. Job well done!

The food is consistently tasty as are the cocktails! The menu is diverse enough for my teenager and I both to find something to enjoy.
I called ahead of time to make sure they had availability and when I showed up the hostess remembered me by my voice and called me by name! I asked her what her favorite dishes were and she told us her honest opinion but then stated that she was not the server so the server might be better suited to answer a lot of the questions. I ordered what she recommended and it was AMAZING! Really, the entire meal was excellent! Our server was extremely friendly and the owners even came over to talk with us! The drinks were also phenomenal so, all in all, it was very impressive! I will be back!

We celebrated our anniversary here, and it was truly exceptional. We had a card, complimentary wine, and our dessert even had a candle. Such nice, personable touches throughout. We did the “Rue Experience,” a 5-course meal. Every single thing we had was dynamic in flavor. I would certainly do this experience again. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, the team there really works together and never missed a beat. It's an intimate setting, with low lighting.

WOW! Upscale restaurant with a very intimate vibe. If you’re in for a culinary adventure I highly recommend the tasting menu, a 5-course chef curated experience. The best part is that each time you go back it will be a whole new experience since the menu changes nightly! They also have an extensive drink menu with just about anything you can think of!
Amazing experience with a tasting menu curated by the chef. I’ll share pictures but the dishes were pretty innovative and I don’t want to misreport all the ingredients. I recommend you choose a special occasion as an excuse to go!

We made reservations for a Friday night, just a regular date night. They have a course prix fixe menu on Fri & Sat. It is all about the experience this restaurant, and if you like to be surprised with different types of food to taste you should make reservations here. It can be a little pricey and small bites but again, it’s all about the experience and you will not be disappointed. Service was great, they have parking available and the restaurant was nice.
My husband reserved a table for the two of us at Rue St. Marc for my birthday. What a gift. We were greeted with the staff kindly opening the door for us, seated 20 minutes before our scheduled time, and no less than 4 servers attended us and told me happy birthday multiple times. Joshua our head waiter was amazing. So attentive. Our drinks never emptied, course after courses provided with precise timing. My husband’s cocktail with pecan bourbon was so good. Very smooth. The food was beyond Outstanding! Each course better than the next. Plentiful, fresh, and creative. We cannot say enough about this experience. Without a doubt the very best in Jacksonville! Thank you Rue St. Marc for a wonderful birthday meal and experience. This will be a must return restaurant for us.

Let me start by stating it has been the best dining experience of the past 2 years in Jacksonville, where interesting chefs and food are scarce. That said, while everything was nicely executed and plated, there was not a dish (we had the tasting menu) that I will remember as something exceptional: flavors are a bit muted, as if the Chef was making sure not to offend anyone’s taste. We had the wine pairing and it certainly is interesting (have you ever tried the Areni grape from Armenia? Barbera rose from Slovenia?) and complemented the dishes, but none of the wines were outstanding on their own.
I did not get to try (but will!) the cocktails which appeared to be very interesting with a liquor selection rarely seen. While not creating an unpleasant experience, the waiting staff could be more present and spend less time flirting with one another or chitchatting, but the floor manager (who did not visit our table) appeared to participate in that overall attitude.
All in all, my favorite in Jacksonville even there’s room for improvement at that price level.

The tasting menu is out of this world!!! It was the best date I've ever been on thanks to the wonderful staff, chefs, ambiance, and most importantly the FOOD! Holy smokes 15/10 would recommend. What an experience!!!! Loved the wine pairing with every course. So super cool
