Why didn't anyone tell me about this place sooner?!
First off, I'm a sucker for diners. I love em. They are just the quintessential dive for good American food. And Johnny Angel's does not disappoint. Quite the opposite: I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was!

Alexis (our waitress) and other staff promptly greeted us and showed us to our table. The La Bomba and egg white omelettes that we ordered were awesome!!! The side order of bacon was over cooked. This is an amazing place to eat. We shall definitely return.
Wow this beautiful cafe is a beautiful hidden gem in Jacksonville Fl. The food was delicious and the portions was bigger than I anticipated. I will be back to Check out there lunch and dinner menu.

Nikki understands the meaning of customer service. She was polite, courteous, and attentive. Food was on point. I had pancakes with bananas and chocolate chips, and my mom had a Popeye omelet.
Great breakfast options with an old timey feel. Love the decor of the stars including Marilyn, Audrey and Lucy! We were sat right away and food back out hot and quickly. Will definitely come again!

This place did not disappoint. I loved the decor and my food was delicious. Pancakes were light, fluffy, and slightly sweet. Wonderful and friendly service. Coffee was frequently refreshed. Can't wait to eat here for lunch. We will definitely be back with the whole family.

Excellent burgers, fries and shakes. Good place for a working lunch. What makes the place truly special is the service! Really friendly waitress with a great personality. And they made my boss a special test shake mix to try. Neat! A little warm inside (that's my only complaint)

Sorry to slander all other diners in Jacksonville, but Johnny Angel's is the ONLY diner to not only serve homemade corned beef hash, but also to serve it crispy. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Love this place. First rime visiting. Service was spot on and the atmosphere is so different than anything you find around d here. Love all the nostalgia. The captain crunch French toast was to die for.
