I eat here at least once a month or so and always have great food and service. I usually order the fried shrimp special, shrimp are always cooked perfectly!
Sam's is situated in a strip mall with a large grocery store chain. It's a small looking nondescript restaurant but DO NOT allow that to fool you! I was pleasantly greeted immediately upon entering and taken to a large six-place booth. I arrived a bit after 5 pm on a Tuesday evening, and it wasn't too crowded. By the time I left an hour later, the place was hopping. I ordered the dinner salmon with a baked potato and green beans. My server brought a sour cream and seafood dip with crackers. It was very good. I was very surprised at the portion size of the salmon, two large cross-cut sections, perfectly cooked and not over seasoned. The green beans had large chunks of bacon, and the baked potato was too big to eat all of it. Between the portion size and cost, Sam's is a great value! The food was fantastic, and my server was equally fantastic! Sam's will be on my MUST VISIT, whenever I'm in town.
We stopped by here for the first time this past Saturday evening. It wasn't really busy. I like the atmosphere. It's not too fancy. We were seated right away. Our waitress was very nice. They have a nice menu with a lot of selection. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. They were delicious. My husband got the Low Country Boil. It was "market price" or $27.00. I got Fried Shrimp with fries and okra. The shrimp were perfect. The cocktail sauce was excellent 👌. Just enough bite. Tony's Low Country took about 40 mins. The waitress said they were waiting for the potatoes to cook. Tony said they weren't done. His crab legs were over cooked. The crawfish were overcooked and the sausage was undercooked. But he did say he would try this place again, as will I.
