EVERYTHING was delicious! The smashburger 🍔 was our favorite, and the fries 🍟 were good and crispy. The service was quick, and everyone was friendly. Parking was limited in the immediate area. They have multiple levels; however, the door to the part downstairs isn't the same as the entrance to the rooftop bar. It's definitely worth a try. 👍
We had a great experience here a few weeks ago. We went one afternoon for appetizers and drinks after the beach and enjoyed it so much we went back the next evening for a smash burger, which was excellent! Drinks were different and great, appetizers were yummy and filling and smash burgers with fries were the BEST! We would definitely return when visiting the area again.
We went in bathing suits and cover ups, and were still welcome!
The wait staff were really lovely and sweet. The food was fantastic, as were the drinks. Service was incredibly prompt for how busy it was. My only complaint is that it was very loud, BUT we went during a busy time. We'll definitely be coming here again!
Here with my family visiting for the week and we stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We had a great time! We tried burger roulette which is chef’s choice, the Philly Dog, and Dynamite Shrimp. We were pleasantly surprised. Shout out to Larry in the kitchen!
Hoptinger as always did not disappoint, delicious food and great drinks all at a reasonable price. I had the roulette burger and the chef made me the perfect concoction. Love that a random burger is an option because it keep the visits fresh and interesting.
Great place, plenty of TVs. The food was excellent it could have come out hotter but it was a busy day. It was not cold but not hot. We loved everything we had and prices were very reasonable. My son just moved into the area and sure it will be a regular spot.

This is my second visit to hoptingers and I always enjoy these kind of establishments. On my first visit, I took advantage of their beautiful rooftop bar to look out over the city of Jacksonville near the Saint Johns River. On this visit I decided to take advantage of their indoor seating. The real attraction to this location is their beer and drink selection. I love how many draft beers they have on tap and the unique items they have on their menu. I was here with another couple and the girls ordered a flight of mimosas while me and my friend tried some of their different India Pale ales. I was quite impressed with our server who was a real sport and had a great sense of humor in dealing with our table. I also liked the quality of the food and enjoyed the atmosphere immensely. You cannot take off half stars and it would not be fair to take off one full star for the only issue I had which was two of the four beers I was interested in were gone. Otherwise, I can't hold the servers or the food service accountable for that... just a minor annoyance. Otherwise, don't let that stop you from coming down here and experiencing what this restaurant has to offer.
My Rise & Shiner was delicious. The egg was perfectly fried with plenty of runniness to the yolk. It was so filling. The service was a bit slower than we liked but it was understandable due to the volume of customers in the restaurant.
We had a fairly long wait on a Saturday night around 8:30pm for dine in.
Server was kind and polite. She took very good care of us.
The middle floor is a bit stuffy, but had great 90s-2000s music playing after a wedding let out. It gets warm in there with enough bodies.
Top floor was more chill vibes with drinks and a really great and energetic bar staff.
I went on a fairly good night for service or I got lucky, but I would highly recommend this for a night of variety and great food and drinks.

Simply a scrumptious meal. If I’m honest, I’m not really a bar food type of person so I opted for the impossible burger I mean, how could you go wrong my friend had the steak frites‘s and enjoyed every bite. I also tried the Tres leche cake but honestly I couldn’t get with the texture and moisture of it to enjoy it. It’s me, not you lol.
This place is cool. Nice to hangout. Beautiful people. Service is professional and nice. Definitely would cone again. THE BEERS ARE PLENTIFUL. I've been looking for a place with beers other than the usual light suspects. This place has all the local beers you wouldn't find anywhere outside of Florida. Very happy about that.
First time here, and was very pleased with all 3 levels.The Rooftop is definitely a whole vibe by itself. A definite go to when visiting Jacksonville
This place is phenomenal! Perfect for an early afternoon hang. Lovely staff and happy hr. Would totally recommend it. Ohh and the rooftop bar is spectacular... just remember it's the door next to the restaurant. Don't walk all the way to the kitchen like I did 😅

Comfortable vibe, beautiful views, Amazing bar staff, great personalities. Order wings and an adult capri sun OMG!! Get there early because it gets busy quickly.
Had excellent service and great food here! We were lucky enough to be there when it was not as busy as it can get. A must!
Grilled chicken salad with goat cheese and fruit was soooo good!! Fried pickles and shrimp appetizers were also super good! Yum! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We took a little trip up to Jacksonville for the day and we got lunch from Hoptinger and here’s how it went:
Pros:
Everything about our visit was perfect! Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. The food was great too! The appetizers we got (calamari and pretzels) were just incredible. A huge selection of beer on draft too and just an awesome vibe throughout the dining in experience.
Cons:
No notable cons!
Overall 5 out of 5. If you’re in the Five Points neighborhood, I’d recommend you stop here if you’re looking for good food and beer selections.
Such a great place. We enjoyed the rooftop bar while waiting on our table. The beer selections and flights in the main restaurant is quite exquisite. The appetizers and staff was also great. They were out of schnitzel, which is what I came for, and I will be returning.
Kind of strange…Great food, great prices, great decor. Our waitress was super helpful and friendly. Kept our water glasses full, our needs met, and even leveled the high top where we were seated.
Yet…
I must say the ladies room is in need of wallpaper repair and the stall walls definitely need painting. Too much graffiti with too many curse words for an otherwise classy cool place. No need for the wreck of a restroom. No need for customers to be confronted with rudeness. Wondering about the men’s room.
Otherwise the place is very nice and could be a great venue even for a private event.
