Famous Amos - Jacksonville - Photo album

A childhood staple of mine. I hadn't been there in almost 15 years and yet the Mrs. Moore's omelet tasted exactly as I remembered. The sweet tea was perfection. Our server was hilarious and great. Gonna miss this place when I head back to Massachusetts.
Pretty good breakfast. Corn bread was hot n fresh, chicken and eggs were also very good. Staff was friendly and attentive.
My first visit here. It was a nice experience. They were welcoming and clean. They have a great menu with all day breakfast. My husband had breakfast 🥞. He said the pancakes are awesome. I had chicken and dumplings with fried squash and greens. Everything is really well prepared. I highly recommend
I ordered the Pan Fry with ham and a biscuit. It was really good, but the biscuits aren't the same as they were 20 years ago. I enjoyed it and will definitely go back.
This was our first time here and we will definitely go back. Our server Vicky was great. We ordered onion rings and they came out fast and were wonderful. My husband had fried chicken and he enjoyed that. I had shrimp and grits. The portions were very large, fresh and hot. We will certainly be
This is a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The service is great. A lot of veterans eat there. The food is good. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I only had breakfast there. I have not had lunch or dinner there yet. I highly recommend trying this restaurant.
You haven't enjoyed Shrimp and Grits until you've eaten the dish prepared fresh, here! A 10 out of 10! And the homemade biscuits are THE best!
Home cooked veggies. Fried chicken breast over rice with chicken gravy. All good. Very nostalgic. Remember the 1st Famous @ the corner of Arlington Rd & Atlantic Blvd in 1970. Only 2 now. I went to the Normandy location
Food was fresh, hot and really good. Had a great waitress as well! Its comfort food similar to Cracker Barrel but definitely has more vegetable options. Place was clean and tidy. Its like a cafe from the 70s. Will definitely be back! They have really improved.
Amazing on all accounts, seated fast, food was splendid and fresh. Waiter was outstanding definitely should earn raise or a bonus, he was friendly and easy to get along with. Atmosphere was really humble rustic and relatively classic. Iv always love come here since I was a kid an still do.
Haven't had it since I was a kid 25 yrs ago. Exactly how I remembered. My palate has obviously grown since. But 5 stars for nostalgia. Also, bring back the chicken cordon bleu!!
The place is old and a little rundown. But so am I. The food and staff were very good. I’d definitely recommend this place.
Awesome place! I had the waffle, bacon and eggs. The homestyle potatoes were not fully cooked or seasoned...other than that the food was great. My husband had the French toast and loved them!
Ordered to go yesterday (Sunday). First time eating food from here and it was so tasty! I always pass by and the parking lot is packed and this will be my new spot! I ordered a breakfast melt!
Mary and Kim took very good care of Dad and me professional and fast. Food was excellent. Dad is still talking about the salad. Thank you, ladies.
