Lunch today was a nice find on a whim. Pizza was the meal of the day and we were questing for something close yet to be discovered, I remembered seeing this spot and off we went. A build your own format, which I surprisingly enjoy, I like seeing my food assembled. Uncle Maddio’s is an Atlanta Based franchise which is locally owned and run. This is a plus for me, knowing someone who lives here has invested their time and money in the community.
First of all, I love pizza and I loved this place. It is a Saturday night, there is a guy playing guitar and singing not for the money but obviously for the smiles. A few tables singing along, great atmosphere. The pizza was very good, decent price, tried the steak and blue, definitely different and very good. The Beans has cheese and proportion and it was good. Glad to find a family friendly place.
This place was so yummy - such fresh ingredients! A little on the pricey side, but they don't hold back on the toppings! We had two foldwiches. $8.99 each and it comes with chips. Drink is separate. We got out at about $21. Not bad, we will go back for the foldwiches, but not for pizza. YouPie is better for pizza because the veggies are unlimited. Here it's only 3.
Friendly fast and fresh! Can't beat the price for what you get. I love lots of toppings on my pizza so this place is definitely worth it if you like your pizza "busy" 50cents per extra topping and whole wheat crust is a must try YUM YUM YUM
Friendly Staff But We Have Had Better. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, shortly after they had opened for the day. It was a little hard to see the toppings and the preparation area was very messy. I asked about the lunch special and was told it was only Monday through Friday even though the sign did not list any days and stated it was available from 11-4. That being said, I decided on the build your own pizza with three toppings. I had the small crust with tomato basil sauce, mozzarella cheese, olives, sun dried tomatoes and artichokes. The pizza tasted okay (maybe even bland) but it was very small and the toppings were pretty sparse. My hubby had the Big Max and indicated he would probably need a snack in the car after eating it! He felt although the pizza tasted fine, the price tag was a little high for the amount of food and the quality of food received. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly but I doubt we will return because it was just average.
Great food. Similar in style to Your Pie, but in my opinion even better. Was hesitant to try bases on the reviews we'd read, but the husband and I were really impressed. I liked my pizza (the Jamaican chicken) but his pizza (the sriracha Thai) was awesome. I could have eaten a large of that by myself. We'll be going back.
Gluten Free Big Max. AWESOME
It's always funny to see folks write reviews that are so obviously from other restaurants. Ignore it folks. This place has great pizza. Tons of choices for toppings, sauces , and cheeses. Don't miss it.
I was lucky enough to have dinner this week with the owner of Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint , Kevin Gartner. Uncle Maddio's is a new fast casual pizza place on the corner of Baymeadows and Southside Blvd. The concept is simple; walk up to the line, place your order, then they will bring it out to you in 6 minutes. I decided on the BBQ Chicken Pizza , which has zesty bbq & tomato-basil sauce, mozzarella and cheddar, grilled chicken, bacon, red onions, corn and cilantro. I got mine on a wheat crust. Let me start by saying...
Hey Dolls, Earlier this week I had the opportunity to dine with fellow foodies at a new fast, casual restaurant in town called Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint located in Deerwood Village off of Southside Blvd. and Baymeadows. Not only does Uncle Maddio's offer premium ingredients and healthful options like whole wheat crust, gluten-free crust, and hormone free chicken, you can customize your pizza like you would a sub at Subway or burrito at Chipotle's! You can go with a Signature Pizza or put ingredients together yourself. They offer gourmet salads and toasted paninis as well. Not to mention everything is "Made With Love"! I'm not sure if it's the norm, but everyone who worked there was SUPER SUPER friendly! Here is what we all had to eat: Greek Side Salad: Made with fresh and crispy mixed greens, red onions, black olives, banana peppers, roma tomatoes, feta cheese and a delicious, homemade greek dressing. BBQ Chicken Pizza : This was my pizza! It was made with zesty bbq & tomato-basil sauce, mozzarella and cheddar, grilled chicken, bacon, red onions, corn and cilantro. Pretty good. Not too sweet but a nice mix of savory and sweet. Greek Pizza: Made with tomato-basil sauce, organic baby spinach mozzarella and feta cheese with red onions, black olives, and artichoke hearts tossed in greek dressing. Buffalo Chicken Pizza: Made with spicy buffalo and tomato-basil sauce, mozzarella, grilled chicken, blue cheese crumbles, celery and homemade ranch. Steak & Blue: This came highly recommended from the owner, Kevin Gartner. It is made with olive oil, mozzarella, blue cheese crumbles, deliciously tender grilled angus steak, roma tomatoes, garlic, spinach, fresh basil and balsamic glaze! This was my favorite! Last but not least, we got to sample all of the desserts that Uncle Maddio's has to offer! Coca Cola Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookies, M&M Cookies, Brownies, Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Bar, and Yummy Mini-Cannolis! I had to loosen up my belt before indulgin
I've just found my favorite neighborhood pizza place. My son and I went to dinner here tonight and were very impressed with the service as well as the food. There was even live music...which was really good!
There was a mistake with our order and the manager, server and the person who made it...they all came by to help rectify it before it even got to our table!
The pesto pizza, and the sandwiches were delicious and freshly made. I thought the price was reasonable and comparable to a Panera or any fast food combo meal. Portion sizes are good and you're getting healthier options.
We'll definitely be going back and will make this our regular stop.
Friendly staff, clean environment, AMAZING fresh pizza. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was incredible. Fresh chicken, ranch, sauce, and herbs!! I love cilantro on my pizza and the quality is great. Highly recommended. The staff really cares about the customers comfort and satisfaction. Great experience.
This isn't the "Subway" of pizza places. It's more like your favorite local deli of pizza places. Their ingredients are fresh, their meats are juicy and flavorful, and best of all their crust is right on point. Very nice and helpful staff. I would recommend this place over any chain pizza joint, that's for sure.
Tried this place for the first time today. I got a coupon for them in the mail so i figured I'd try it. I was very impressed with it. Very helpful staff. Honored the coupon no problem. I got the chicken club pizza. It was very delicious. I did not stay to eat but it was very neat and clean. We will be going back for sure.
All I can say is Uncle Maddio's pizza is AWESOME. Me and a friend ended up going there a few weeks back (sorry for the delay on the review) and WOW THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I go the "Sunny side up" pizza and wow wow wow that pie was AMAZING. I really like how everything was so fresh and how all there stuff is made in house and not frozen. It really makes a difference! The place is worthy of 10 stars not just 5. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!! Please expand and start putting more locations throughout Jax... PLEASE!!!!

We have been going there since it opened. Micah and Mike are super friendly. They always know what pizza I want and even know my wife's allergies and make sure her pizza is cooked separately. We will continue to eat there.
Honestly, my favorite thing about this restaurant is the service. The food was good, but not the best pizza I've ever eaten. What really stood out to my husband and I was how the employees treated us. Everyone was friendly. Everyone had a good attitude. We WILL be returning to Maddio's!
Great quality pizza for a good price. The atmosphere is very relaxed/family friendly and the design of the place is appealing. They also have friendly staff members and live music on Friday nights. Love this place!
I would give it ten stars if i could. I just went and got a 9" pizza for my girlfriend and I and it was amazing!!! She freaked and loved it so much. She dosent eat pizza with bacon but now always wants pizza with bacon from Uncle Maddio's!!! The people who work there are so much fun and make it a place I always want to go back to.
I would like to respond to the lady who spoke about the feral unruly children at Maddios. When someone who doesn't know the table next to them screams "SHUT THE HELL UP" to children that is a problem. If someone would ask politely to ask parents to quiet their children down that is different. I was at a table nearby and overhead the entire situation. The father who spoke up was doing so to protect his children from a feral unruly woman who cusses at children. If you have a problem then speak to the parents in a manner that will allow all parties to work together. When you scream cuss words at children then there is a problem with you and not the family with the kids. Maddio's is a family restaurant which is what makes it such a great place to go!!!! They have just as much right to get together as a family and it happens to include 6 little ones. The manager spoke to the table and after the lady screamed at the children they were taken outside. This should not cause people to not eat there, if you are going to write a review on a place, write it about the food, not about a family. Also speak the truth about incidents that occurred.
Been hearing a lot about this place. Food was decent but not spectacular as I was expecting. Service was A1. I had the Maddie meal. Personal Pizza was good but I still love pizza hut pan better.
