Food was good they have buffet which cost $10,99
But one time I’ve been there and ordered lamb which I have asked first if it’s soft or not ? They told me it is soft but once I got it, it wasn’t soft at all and when I told the staff she said there’s nothing I can do with it, that’s how it comes! So I had to eat it . Anyway I come back again to get chicken coz I like the flavour and the taste of their rice is delicious.
I love their food! They have a good variety of vegetarian options and everything is well seasoned. I haven't tried their catering service, but the buffet is great. I recommend their lentil soup!
Saw this place after driving past the location a few times. We walked there for lunch and was pleasently surprised at the amount of food and the taste. I didn't have a big expectation since I've never had buffet style middle Eastern food. But it was all good and fresh. Plus the staff that took our drinks was nice. Would go there again.
Come for the food. It is all about Afghan seasoning. You will find it different and inviting. In this restaurant it has the straight forwardness of home cooking. The atmosphere is friendly and the service attentive. The mixed platter can give you a good idea about what they serve here. The prices are very good.
The food is so good and so fresh even for a all you can eat buffet. I don't think I've ever had kabobs as succulent as the ones at Bold City. I love the name. The place is big and I wasn't expecting that. I don't think they get a lot of traffic in the mid afternoon because it was relatively empty when I went there around 3pm. The staff is very friendly. It seemed like a family restaurant. Food is so delicious and well cooked. Eggplant was my favorite second only to the amazing kabobs. I love the way they do their hummus. It's not as sweet as other hummus I've had here in Jacksonville. There is a television which is never my favorite thing in a casual dining place but it seems to be a normal occurance at places like these. I would recommend for lunch and a wonderful family dinner outting. They have room to seat a big group. Oh and the price is right for the meal you get. So delicious and affordable.

The food was very fresh and tasty. I got the Gyro sandwich which was at VERY reasonable price. The portion was large enough to fill me up......they did not skimp on the meat! The buffet looked really good and offered a lot of different options. I think I'll try that out next time. Overall I highly recommend checking this place out if you want a good quality food at a fair price. I'm not really sure what others are talking about as far as the place being dirty and the staff being rude.....I did not experience either of those.
It has a great atmosphere. It is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The only place like it I've ever been and actually truly enjoy the food. The music is beautiful as are the personalities of the staff. It has a homely feeling that makes the dining experience all the more enjoyable, alone or in large groups.
Very happy with the food. Simple L - shaped buffet composed of 4 salads/entrees, 6 veggie dishes, 6 meat dishes and 4 desserts. Sodas, sweet and hot tea and yogurt drink.
Traditional Mediterranean food, place looks sketchy but don't let it fool you. They food was awesome. They have a menu and they have $9.99 lunch/dinner buffet.
Only complaint was how hot it was, AC was busted. And there was only one person in the restaurant serving, manning the cashier, taking drinks and answering the phone. I felt bad for her. But inspire of being alone she took care of everyone.
Food was excellent from buffet. Did not order from menu so I cannot rate their food from the kitchen.
The only thing I would say could use a little work is the ambiance. A little bit softer lighting and lower music would make this place a lot more inviting. Not a bother to me or my lunch companion, but some of these subtle changes might help attract a little more business.
Overall, I loved it! Such good food. I could eat a whole pan of their eggplant. Lentil soup is also delicious...hummus was good, all of the meat dishes I tried were delicious. The one thing I would say slightly negative about the food, the potatoes were a little under seasoned.... but honestly there wasn’t anything on the bar I didn’t like or wouldn’t eat. 🙂

My mom and I were having a Girl's Day and happened upon this place! From the moment you walked in the door, the aroma was amazing! It's a small, mom-and-pop type restaurant. After looking around, everything was neat and clean, all the chairs even matched! LOL! The food was wonderful! We were pleasantly surprised! It's a buffet and usually there are only a few things that I can say I truly like. This was not the case here. I liked everything but the hummus. There was nothing wrong with it, it just was not to my liking! Incredibly impressed! Will definitely be stopping in again!
Excellent authentic food. Much more than just kabobs, a big menu. Unlimited lunch buffet or carry out for only $10.99, a steal for the quality. The tabuelah and gyro lamb was perfect! 5 star and clean!!!
Unassuming Afghan buffet spot with zero frills and tons of flavor. I came in late afternoon and I expected there to be food leftover from lunch service, but the food that was out was fresh and delicious. Chicken, meatballs, gyro meat, rice, veggies and salads were all out. Not all dried up or day old. Great place for lunch or dinner.

I just picked up lunch for the third time in the last 2 weeks and the food is very fresh and has that authentic flavor. I like the buffet for a good price i can choose all my favorites. Staff has been very nice and helpfull and are willing go the extra mile for your satisfaction.

And because of the negative review, I went in to the bathroom. I certainly would not eat of the floor, but it wasn't nasty and I saw no evidence of insects. The restaurant was clean and the food was nothing short of amazing!
I'm not normally a fan of hummus... But this hummus was fantastic! The pita was super fresh! And the baklava was wonderful!
