Usually my co workers finds places likes these to try and this time I’m the one that found this one using google maps.
I honestly have no complaints about this spot, I was comfortable paying $50 for two fried chicken platters with Mac and Collard Greens and two sides of fried shrimp for me and the homie.
Everything slapped with essence is all I can really say, the place could use an update to their atmosphere but it’s an order and go type of place anyway so there isn’t any seating available.
I think I ate everything is 5 minutes time (a lot of food) and my homie said he came back the next day without me too which is crazy but that’s how you know their food is good if you comeback two days in a row. I’ll be revisiting too
My bf is currently staying in Queen NY for work for a few months. It was midnight and he was hungry for anything that reminded him from back home down south. I saw this place and I said well we can try this. I have never been a fan of catfish and down south they love it. He ordered it along with mac n cheese and some collard greens. It was a take our order via uber. I couldn’t believe how goood every was for it to be a late night order. We ordered this meal a little after midnight. We didn’t know what to expect considering it to be so late. Can I say the catfish was probably the best catfish I ever had with so much flavor I felt like I was in food heaven. So kudos to this restaurant! We will definitely be ordering from here again!
I need to meet the chef! Food is so good!!! I ordered through uber eats, everything was tasty, well flavored and fresh!
This is my go spot for Shrimp and Grits. The food is delicious and fresh. The service is always courteous and professional. I admire the business for hiring young adults and teenagers.
Please be sure to also try their wings, banana pudding and homemade lemonade.

Yeaahhh imma need y'all to give me the recipe for this honey fried chicken cuz the way yall had me licking my fingers was embarrassing 😩 I don't know about the other reviews but this is my 4th time ordering this month (don't judge me) and they have yet to disappoint (knock on wood)..... their Mac + cheese and sweet yams are fire too
I ordered the Grits with eggs And pork sausage. The food was well seasoned and presentation was spectacular 😊 this is officially my breakfast go to spot. Whoever Cooked the food and prepared the plate deserves a raise
Friendly service, first time eating their the food speaks for itself I'm a super picky eater, and pregnant just the food was worth it I been to 5 star restaurants and they can't cook the way they did on first impression. It's on a favorite for me turkey is worth it.
The food was amazing , I ordered on Uber eats and it was hot and fresh. The best soul food I had in a long time.
Delicious me and my wife both enjoyed turkey falling off the bone I even ate the bones definitely gonna be a go to spot.
Fried Chicken was a hit at my cousin's baby shower on 7/30. Thanks to the gentlemen busy getting our catering order ready.
My favorite place to go when I'm in the neighborhood. There isn't too much in the area I'd choose to eat, but THIS, I could eat everyday! The staff is always nice and the place is clean. I'd definitely recommend it
Fried chicken was seasoned and fried well! Macaroni and cheese was quite good, if only a bit heavy on the black pepper. Mixed vegetables were solid. I also got some candied yams, and those were probably my favorite out of everything I ordered.
The red Kool-Aid was nostalgic (a little too sweet), and this might be a bit weird, but I also ordered their “half-and-half” thinking I would be getting creamy milk, but instead getting a mixture of half sweet tea-half lemonade. I wish they were clearer about this in their description. I’m sure the majority of people would like the latter drink more, but dang, I was really hoping for milk, haha.
