Absolutely stunning views. The first five holes are trick as you are on top/side of a mountain. When you reach hole six, (severe downhill par 3) you can see the entire course. Tricky greens, very open fairways make Berkshire Valley the great golf course it is. You will be rewarded for proper golf shots. If the putter is hot, you’re going to score well. Not many golf courses have the natural vibe strictly on location alone. If you live in New York or New Jersey this a must! Shout out to Bill!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the wonder that is Berkshire Valley Golf Course, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! The staff's excellence shone through from the moment I arrived, providing a warm welcome that set the tone for an unforgettable day on the greens. The course itself is a masterpiece – a blend of fun, beauty, and challenge that left me in awe at every turn. The sweeping landscapes, pristine fairways, and perfectly manicured greens create a visual spectacle that's hard to match. But don't let the scenic beauty fool you; this course is no walk in the park. It offers a level of challenge that's both invigorating and satisfying, making each swing a true test of skill. It's no surprise to me that Berkshire Valley Golf Course has earned its rightful place among the top 5 public golf courses in New Jersey. The care and attention poured into every aspect of this course are palpable, and the result is an experience that any golfer – from amateurs to seasoned pros – will treasure. If you're seeking a golfing adventure that combines exceptional staff, breathtaking views, and a golfing challenge that's second to none, look no further than Berkshire Valley. It's a true gem that I can't wait to revisit.

This course blew my mind. You start way up on the mountain side, work your way down switchbacks for the front 9. For the back 9, you go into the flat valley and face water hazards from a few ponds. Overall filled with beautiful scenery, played challenging but very fun.

Berkshire is by far my favorite public course in NJ! Layout is unique and challenging, every time I have a round I find new nuances that make it super entertaining. The scenery is top-notch, the starters and staff are always courteous and helpful, no arrogance and rudeness (especially compared to Pinch Brook, where their customer service is awful) The conditions are ok, it can get a bit beat up in areas because of the valleys/drainage: but that’s hard to fix when it’s such a popular course with little down time and the mountainous landscape. Tee times can be hard to get at times, but that just means it’s a great course! A special shout out to Karen (I think is an assistant generally manager there): unbelievably helpful and gave country club-like service. Best public course in the area!

The course was beautiful, but the pace of play was ridiculous. 5 1/2 hour round is unacceptable. Even called the clubhouse a couple of times to get the guys in front moving. Waited on EVERY hole. On one of the par threes there were eight guys on the green. That can't happen. If this is how the pace of play normally is, they need to put less groups out per hour. Will definitely play again to see if this was just a one-off.

Beautiful course with plenty of challange. Good part: great views, friendly staff, range available, clean facility Needs to improve: tee boxes and bunkers. It's challanging course with tough pin positions and variety of holes to keep you engaged for the whole round. manage first 5 holes as those are most challanging of all. Tee times for weekend get filled up preety fast. I would definitely play this course in all seasons

One of best course in NJ. Breathtaking scenery and well maintained. Staffs are very friendly. Garry (Starter) was so kind. The view from first tee is speechless and you can see almost entire courses. Not an easy course but challengeable for all levels of players.

Berkshire is always well maintained and is the best option of all the Morris County courses. On this day, we got plenty of rain on the front nine, but it turned into a beautiful day on the back. It can get pricey and slow on the weekends, so be prepared for that. Overall a great North Jersey course

Every year my golf partner and I try to add at least one new course to our summer rounds. Well we found our Gem for this year. An absolutely stunning golf course. I am dying already to get back there. Beautiful, awesome condition, challenging. Spectacular layout. All the employees were welcoming and pleasant. Played this past Thursday and the weather was perfect.
