We are from out of town & went to Copeland’s with NOLA residents that eat there often. We had a relatively short wait but it was worth it. Our waiter was terrific! Very attentive, informative but not pushy. The food was excellent. Fresh, hot, well seasoned. There were 5 of us and we all got a different entree - everyone delicious! The cheesecake we had for dessert was the best I have ever eaten. Definitely recommend trying this place!
We were there yesterday. What a great time. Food was excellent. We started with great drinks from the bar and ordered crab claws and crab stuffed mushrooms. Both were great. Dinner was Veal Copeland with pasta and I had grilled red fish stuffed with crab meat in a wonderful sauce with cauliflower augratin. All was wonderful. Our server was Kylie and I don't think I spelled that correctly but she wonderful. Can't wait to return.
Our server was Blaine. He was attentive, fun & professional. I was a server/bartender for over 10 yrs & enjoyed the service, food & atmosphere!
Great atmosphere with friendly staff. The food was wonderful. The white chocolate cheesecake is the best I’ve ever tasted!!!
The food is amazing each time we visit. The eggplant pirogue, with shrimp and crab claws on a bed of angel hair pasta DELICIOUS. The blackened red fish and rice pilaf was good as well. Ok, so I had a spicy Bloody Mary Awesome!
The staff at Copeland Clearview is extremely friendly and courteous and the food is amazing. A great variety of top quality food to choose from. A totally enjoyable experience. I will return next time I'm in New Orleans.

I am a regular at Slidell but son lives in Metairie now and we went to different one. Was really good! Had my usual blackened catfish (delicious) but tried oyster-Brie bacon appetizer and was great!
Our waiter was friendly and the food was great and came out fast despite them being busy and having multiple big group tables. Red velvet cheesecake was phenomenal!
I’m on crutches and Ashley (server on Clearview) made me feel so comfortable. The chicken was worth the wait and price
Yay, fried pasta!. Their spinach dip is our favorite!!
Nom nom nom!. Love the crab stuffed eggplant!! All the appetizers are good too, the crawfish bread and crab claws are delicious
Good family restaurant. Nice setting with a good decor. Service was outstanding with reasonable prices. There were quite a few groups enjoying themselves, so it was a bit loud. The wife and I ordered exclusively off the small plate and sides portions of the menu which was great for us because we are light eaters. We wish more places would adopt the same kind of practice. We had the steak labouchere, crabmeat ravioli, and red beans and rice. All three dishes were delicious, and the red beans were the best I have tasted so far. I've only lived here for a couple of a months, so there's not much comparison, however it was a very tasty dish. I would definitely go back to this restaurant.
Give 'em a break, they're trying.. So I read the lackluster reviews, but went for lunch to the Elmwood location. Courteous hostess, the manager greeted us with a smile, and the server was very friendly. Restaurant was clean, good jazz music playing....above average atmosphere. We ordered salads...servings were very generous. I give the taste about a "B." The desserts met expectations...excellent cheesecake (as you'd expect) and the brownie ala mode tasted homemade and was better than most chain restaurants. It was worth trying, and I'd go again.
4thaluvuvfood. This is not a complicated place to understand...good food, generic service.I love a dinner of broccoli bites, chicken enchilada soup, and shrimp and crabcake alfredo pasta, followed by one of the best pieces of chocolate cake EVER.What's not to like? The steak here is also more than fair for the fairly reasonable price...can you think of a better steak under 30 bucks?I will still come here from time to time, nothing mind blowing but pretty good anyway.
That's right, Robin...you should always save room for dessert!
Brunch. I normally go because I love their bayou broccoli balls. They are really Good. They also have great drink and sizes. The fall backs are there is a musty odor due to the carpeting which if you think about is probably a bad idea.
As for brunch they were very busy and unorganized. They do have some nice touches for example they have a little jazz trio which is very nice on a Sunday.
Things to watchnout for
Inexperienced staff
Nice coffee menu but they do not have a barista nor anyone who know how to implement the menu
They offer fresh juice but it's not fresh squeezed it's somenother "fresh"
Hollandaise on the benedicts on this day was not freshly made but seemed packaged.
Highlights
Bloody Mary
Biscuits are good but not on the menu but you can order them
I like it. The best years for Copelands was the 90s but it's still good. Blackened redfish is one of the best around. Good potatoes.
I haven't been there in awhile and found out they didn't have my stuffed shrimp any longer on the menu!!!! Why would they take one of the best dishes away???!!!! So I had to order something else and everything was tasty, but them not having my fav is why I give it 4 stars
Great wait staff! Steak was cooked to perfection and the King cake was so light and fluffy! Delicious, and if you like a loaded Bloody Mary, go for it!
I eat here once a week. I love this place. The catfish platter is the best.
The waffles here are the best waffles I've ever had in my life. 5 star restaurant hands downs. Staff is very professional; highly recommended.
The Tomato Basil chicken was amazing! I heard their carrot cake was also but unfortunately they are so popular that they were completely out and had to order the Turtle cheesecake instead...was not disappointed! Turtle cheesecake was epic!
We are from Missouri and had a very pleasant experience here!
