Best little secret in Jekyll Island! It was also the best food experience in both Jekyll and St. Simon Islands combined! We came back a second day we enjoyed it so much. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful with zero sauce, the fried shrimp (wild & fresh) were breaded while we waited, and there’s no beating a perfectly cooked and salted crinkle cut fry! Anna and her team work really hard and do an outstanding job with managing a crowd - we were here during a weekend with over 1200 students in town for a tech conference and The Love Shack was insanely busy and our food was not rushed and still came out in less than 10 minutes. This young manager knows her business and equally impressive is all of the food! I don’t write reviews normally but felt called to this time!!

Good food. My daughter had the pulled pork and I had the chicken tenders and both were delicious. The only downside was the prices were a bit high and the location is in the back of the Jekyll Market shop, so it was very cramped while ordering and waiting the ten minutes for it to cook.

The best shrimp on the island!!! Located inside of Jekyll Market, great selection, great pricing & staff, large portions & everything we had was terrific. That Mac n cheese was AMAZING!!! You have to try the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries (don't forget to sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on them for a special treat), Mac n cheese and the chicken fingers!!! Next time, we're trying out the rotisserie chicken!! We enjoyed it so much that we are there twice during our stay on the island.

Best shrimp on the island! Shrimp was fantastic and the sweet potato fries were extra crispy. Would 100% return for more shrimp. Service was quick, there was a miscommunication that resulted in an me getting over charged but they were quick to void the charge and get it sorted out. Even with a smile!

My sister and I came to St. Smith’s Island and Jekyll Island. Their food was the best we had between both Islands. We were so disappointed at all other places and so excited we found this spot. Hidden gem. Pulled pork one day and fried shrimp the next day. Shrimp was amazing and fresh! Highly recommend this place.

It was very good food. The service was good also. The price was decent for the food, and the portions were good sized. I would love to have a place like this where I live. The only thing that gave me trouble was finding the restaurant, it's located in the same building as the the village market, on Jekyll Island. There's no signage outside that says "Love Shack". That's my only drawback. Highly recommend it if you are ever on Jekyll Island. I had the half rotisserie chicken, with coleslaw, and my fiancee had the same except with fries instead of slaw.

It's located in the JEKYLL MARKET and it's take out, but there is plenty of seating outside the market. BBQ was delicious and tender, Brunswick stew was tasty ( I like mine thicker but it was still oh so good) You can choose a " child's portion" which is generous enough for lunch. Then you can share your leftover bread with the birds!!!

Very delightful little place with supremely charming staff. Go inside the Marketplace and in the corner ya will find The Magnificent little LOVE SHACK!! A place definitely worth searching for.

We got there at 6:45 and they had just closed, but were so nice they let us order. We both had the shrimp and fries. One french fries an one sweet potato fries. I have eaten many shrimp and these rank right at the top for fried shrimp. You enter through the store and it's at the back. There is not a sign outside.

The best shrimp I had on the island. Cole slaw was good but the other sides might be better. This fried shrimp was better than the fried fish I had at The Wharf.

It’s kinda hard to find it’s in the back of the Jekyll Market it’s a little pricey but the portion sizes are okay they need a walk up window outside with some advertising

Best place on Jekyll Island to eat fried shrimp. We must have had close to two dozen fried shrimp each, and they were absolutely some of the best fried shrimp we've ever had! We always make sure to have at least one meal here, if not more, when visiting the island! Now please note that you don't have the ambience of a fine restaurant. You go up to a window to order and you can dine inside or outside, but hey we're there for the food not the atmosphere! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Hidden at the back of Jekyll Market. Shrimp plate with one side is now $15.99. Take out only, but can eat at a covered patio outside. Service was quick, unfussy. Seasoning a bit salty for my taste, but that's Georgia.
