Great food and atmosphere
Just tried brunch for the first time last weekend. It was the best brunch I have had in Jersey City in the last 5 years! A delicious steak, a fluffy croissant with perfectly scrambled eggs and goat cheese and friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back!

This is a great neighborhood place to go. It's walking distance for us. The service is fantastic! The entertainment is great. We had brunch outside on the patio what a great atmosphere. I have been here several times now and will be back.
The Hutton was warm and welcoming from the minute we opened the door. Can't beat that! Cocktails were creative (love all the cider concoctions!) and great selection of craft beers & wines. The buratta with pesto, grilled radicchio & dried fruit was really delicious, interesting flavor & texture combo. My salmon was perfect! The staff was super friendly and professional. Congratulations & best of luck—nicely done!
The cauliflower vegan entree is a work of art and I am not even vegan or vegetarian, bravo! Thanks for adding a brunch and a kids menu on weekends, we sampled it this past Sunday and greatly enjoyed every bite!
Came here on a weeks trip to New York from Ireland and I have to say the place is a must to visit when in Jersey City. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is top notch! Not to mention the cocktails. They certainly know how to throw a good NYE party!
The Hutton calls itself a bar & grill. However, the well-executed menu is much more ambitious than that. The space is a bit cramped. However, when the weather warms, courtyard seating should alleviate that. The menu is a little pricey for this neck of the woods. However, it is definitely worth splurging.
I'm a big fan of The Hutton. The food is excellent, they have an excellent craft beer, wine and whisky selection and some seriously amazing live acts! Highly Recommended!
A really nice place, great food nice atmosphere and friendly people. A very enjoyable place to play music.
The Hutton is a Gem.They have a menu that challenges as well as satisfies.The small plates as generous, varied and are a perfect pairing to the great cocktails, beers and wines available from the bar.The main dishes creatively address the desire for something more substantial. The Hutton is a great supporter of the local music scene in a town that boasts more talented people per square mile than anywhere.There are always great people to entertain and the wonderful walled bier-garden allows an entire community to gather and celebrate in the "wide open". The first time I experienced The Hutton I knew I had found a place truly unique, "food-forward" and special. I get there as often as I can.
We had a fabulous time at The Hutton! The Salmon Toast / salad was awesome, Mark's burger great, the wine yummy and even dessert amazing... combine all that with a beautiful day to be outside and the always fantastic Twiddlin' Thumbs! :) Thanks!
The Hutton hosted my surprise engagement party this past weekend and made it flawless.
I would recommend to come and enjoy the back patio!
