In a word: Heaven. My fiancé and I passed by this little gemstone I don't know how many times but today I came in and OMGOSH, new favorite coffee shop. Cappuccino = on point. Beautiful natural light, their Canadian bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was perfect, and the ham and cheese croissant looks incredible- definitely on the list for the next MUST TRY item. I've been on a continuous hunt to find an inviting Coffeeshop where I don't have to cross the dreaded Johns Island connector bridge being a Johns Island local and I cannot recommend this place enough!! New favorite spot, for sure. The barista is so friendly and makes you feel welcomed the moment you come inside. This place is adorable, chic, has beautiful succulents and is the perfect spot to read, knit, or in my case knock out some computer work. You will not be disappointed. Plenty of parking. Are you getting in your car yet and putting it in your GPS??! Do it. Do it now.

I love love love finding cute little coffee places on trips! They have a great selection of drinks, sandwiches, and pastries. The iced geen tea matcha latte was delicious! They have cute gifts too: jewelry, bags, and local treats

Excellent, creative espresso based drinks! I had a coconut vanilla latte that was not at all overly sweet (by request) and my husband ordered the honey lavender coffee both were excellent. We also ordered the ham and cheese croissant, sausage biscuit and a pastry - all were amazing. The ladies were extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely return!

Stopped in this morning with my wife and kids. Staff was very friendly and the owner came over to introduce herself and ask how everything was. I asked the Batista if she could make a flat white like I get at Starbucks and she made it just like I expected. I also tried the salmon quiche which was fabulous. My wife had the ham and Swiss croissant which was also very good. Lastly, their blueberry stuffed croissant was outstanding. Will definitely visit again next time in the area.

Love this place! The ladies that run the shop are extremely nice and always welcome you with a smile. Very quaint little coffee shop that also has a retail shelf of local food and drinks. Always make it a point to stop here when I come to Johns Island/Kiawah. I did think $5 for a breakfast sandwich was a little high at first but once you eat it, you'll know why. The best sausage, egg and cheese biscuit I have ever had. Keep it up, ladies!

Just stopped to get a coffe. The food looked so delicious I had to get a ham and cheese croissant. Best croissant I've had since Germany. Cappuccino was hot and rich with a nice thick foam. I ended up getting pumpkin cake rolls for the kids as well. Friendly staff and great selection.

The coffee was great, we tried three or four desserts that were all amazing. Cara and Leslie were literally singing as they served us. They were as sweet as the cranberry orange scones :). Great food, adorable decor, and awesome service. We’ll be back!

This coffee shop gets it ! Great morning quick stop or leisurely lunch spot with a variety of pastries, quiche, salads and sandwiches With many more items that all look and taste like they were touched by god through the artistic hand of Michelangelo. But more importantly the coffee is great and it’s never brewed by pretentious baristas, just smiling enthusiastic ones. The owner herself is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to her profession And I find that not only interesting and insightful but absent at every other coffee shop on these beautiful islands.

Kava was a really nice coffee shop! We were greeted immediately by the employees as well as by the delicious fragrance of freshly baked goods and breakfast entrees. I tried the frittata, it was phenomenal. I'll definitely be coming back on my way to Kiawah.

I couldn't give a more stellar review for this quant little place. It's easy to miss right of the road but well worth a stop in. The times I have gone here the ladies have been banking some delicious smelling (and tasting) pastries! The coffee and chai tea is fabulous, the service is wonderful, their wine selection is eclectic and well rounded, I seriously couldn't speak more highly of this cute little coffee shop. I tell everyone about it.

Easily the BEST coffee anywhere in the area without having to go all the way into Charleston. They use Counter Culture beans and the iced coffee is smooth and delicious enough to drink black. Lots of pastries and things like breakfast sandwiches and quiche. Super friendly staff. Free wifi, lots of light, great place to get some work done or just hang out.
