This is BBQ meets old Town classic. First, what a beautiful building that's full of history. It makes you feel at home even though it might as well be a museum.
I ordered the pulled pork salad with house made croutons. It was so delicious. The service was wonderful as well. I wanted to keep trying more food - if I wouldn't explode.

First time visit. Service was good. Portions were of good value. However, I got the ribs and although they were not lacking in flavor, they were definitely not cooked long enough as they were very tough. Maybe just an off day. All that being said, is visit again if I was in the area.

Very good. Nice wait staff. Quick service. Great menu. All items were hot and fresh. My husband and I had two meals 1. At the Firehouse 2. To go boxes. Large portions. Love the BBQ sauce. Yummy looking dessert.... but we didn't indulge! Maybe next time.

Quiet atmosphere, very clean with great staff and oh wow, the food...
There simply isn't a barbecue sandwich or ribs restaurant that can touch them and it's been that way for close to 40 years. They are the picture of consistency. I always get the pulled pork sandwich, fries and baked beans with their blondie dessert and I never leave one bit uneaten (rare for me). If you haven't eat there, it's a part of Johnson City's history.

Had the pulled pork bbq platter with fries, cole slaw and toast. The pork was the best I have ever ate and their BBQ sauce is amazing! Husband has the pulled pork salad with honey BBQ dressing and loved it too. We can't wait to go back!

My 1st time here and was not disappointed. The service was awesome n the food very good. Really loved the fact that the employees looked and acted very professional. It's a shame that most restaurants are moving away from this. Very impressed!

The ribs are out of this world delicious😋 Service was the best! Our waiter was super attentive, and made sure we had a great experience. Beans weren’t a fave for me, but the potato salad was so good.

Really good! I got the Volunteer sandwich with broccoli salad. It was good, but the chicken could've used some seasoning. The broccoli salad was really good tho. My daughter enjoyed her Carolina salad, and we both REALLY enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie with nuts and ice cream on top. Will definitely be going there again when in JC.

Had lunch there yesterday and it did not disappoint! Had the 2 alarm chili and the pulled pork potato skins. Loved the chili and the skins ! My husband had the combo plate with brisket and pulled pork. He loved it as well. This is the 2nd time here and we’ve found our Favorite! Our server Stephen was kind courteous and took very good care of us ! See you soon.

My husband and I ate dinner here for the very first time. I had the Carolina pork platter with broccoli salad and Tennessee toast which was delicious. My husband also had the Carolina pork platter with french fries and barbecue beans. He also thought his food was delicious. Our server was lovely and very polite. The atmosphere was inviting and welcoming. We will reccomend this restaurant to friends. We will surely be back.

I’ve been going to Firehouse since they opened decades ago. I have had different entrees there, all excellent, but they have three things that don’t get much mention that are really signature items of theirs.
1. Hashbrown casserole- This is a must-have side item.
2. House salad dressing- Of course this is a matter of taste, but this remains my favourite dressing when dining out and yes, it’s a secret recipe!
3. Last but not least is their salsa. Yes, I said salsa! Order the chips and salsa next time you go. I’ve eaten a lot of salsa and it’s just about my favourite! Too bad it’s not free refills!
Firehouse has always been consistent, including their sweet tea, which has been consistently weak, unfortunately, but that doesn’t stop me from loving the place!
The Seatons always have a top-notch staff who have obviously been well-trained in the importance of courtesy, service, and knowledge.

Excellent food and service, The Firehouse was a go to celebratory meal after a semester whipped at ETSU. I recommend the salad with fried chicken strewn across it.

My husband and I just moved to JC from Long Island, NY ; and have been trying different restaurants. The Fire House Restaurant was recommended to us. We really enjoyed the pulled pork, loaded bake potatoes, baked beans.. all delicious! Everyone was super friendly! The waitress was very attentive and the restaurant was exceptionally clean! Our only suggestion would be to add mac 'n cheese to the menu. We will definitely return soon!

Not great. Went there for the brisket and was definitely the worst brisket I've ever had. Very soupy and covered in a stew like BBQ sauce. Thin meat cut too. Service was excellent and a cool building inside.
