Perhaps the most redeeming trip to a restaurant in a while. A lot of tension formed around Johnson City’s premier after-hours burger place when it changed hands. Jeff had become some kinda downtown icon. Switch to Pepsi, new hours, policies, etc… and I admit, something felt off. My friend group kinda stopped going and my wife and me drifted away from our regular trips. But the other night we decided to go back on a whim. Time changes things, and you know what? That’s okay. It’s charm is still there, the food is still great. They still have great music! And I think that’s what it’s really about. Keep the dream alive guys!🍔 And thanks for hanging in there!

First time in Johnsonville, group of 13 looking for a place for dinner. I'm not big on burgers, but I don't regret it. Food was great and service same. Prices are decent and serving portions big. French fries are thin and cut and fried upon order. Sweet potatoes and onion rings are also delicious. Excellent choice.

First time here & definitely coming back . Literally the only restaurant we found open on Christmas Eve as we were walking through Market Square & enjoying the Candy Land Christmas tree displays!

The green chili veggie burger special they had while I was in was so freaking good! Also, the fried mushrooms are on point and I loved that they let me upgrade my fries to them! Add all that to their food presentation being adorable.

This is a gem of a restaurant in downtown Johnson City. The decor is really cool, especially if you're into retro movies and games. The food itself is fantastic, as a vegan I am in love with their full vegan menu offerings, including multiple burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers. They also have some amazing and creative specials every week. The service is always great, can be a bit backed up when they're busy but every server I've had has been great. A fun and delicious spot for food.

I was extremely impressed when we called ahead to inquire about seating for our family of six that they were willing to reserve a table for us. Our waitress was very sociable and made our experience pleasant. Since she was so friendly, I was surprised that she didn't inform us that she was turning our table over to another person during our meal. The food was delicious and I would like to go back when I'm in the area again.

We were told that the burgers are really good, so that was what we had; classic cheese burgers. This was one of the very few times the burgers were cooked to order (for me, medium rare). They were excellent! I thought the value was also great. The decor on the walls was movie/video game themes from the late 70's-80's....AWESOME.
Our expierence was awesome. Service was phenomenal, food was great. This is proof that the best expierence is from the local shops. Highly recommend this place when in near town.

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Definitely the best one in the area. Good portions, good prices, quick service. Sides aren't the best but definitely not the worst. Will be eating here again.

The Mid City Grill is literally a little hole in the wall joint in a popular hipster section of downtown Johnson City, Tennessee, and is one of several hotspots flanking an old train station right in the middle it all! The menu is a combination of delicious burger fare and vegan alternatives, if thats your thing! Such items as Demon Waffle Fries, and braised pork belly over rice are the delectable surprises you find on the menu! If you're ever in Johnson City be adventurous and wander on down to Mid City Grill! You won't regret it!!!

I decided to go vegan recently and I heard that this place had good vegan food. My burger was awesome (The Heater) and the jalapeños on the side were even better. Definitely worth checking out!

This place has really improved in ambiance since my first visit a few years back. Always wonderful food for omnivores like me, vegetarians, gluten free, etc. Even the coffee at very late dinner was great! Best apres theatre eatery with insane hours!

Really a great place for a meal. Very decent prices, great portions and the service is good. It's very laid back and I would even say "bohemian". We always have a good time!

The best bacon cheeseburger and bacon and cheese french fries I have ever had the luxury of experiencing!!!!!

This place is a disgusting establishment. The ownership is an absolute joke. Mid City Grill allows drunk customers to stay in the restaurant after vomiting on the floor and/or passing out on the table. I have witnessed drug use in the women's restroom. They have NO CONCERN for health code, cleanliness, or customer service.
Good burger, however. If you're into this type of experience.

Low key hole in the wall vibe with great food and amazing staff. Love the B3 burger. My kids love going here. Staff is always fun and super accommodating.

Friendly staff, delicious house made food, and they are open for dinner and late night. Ask about the desert specials! Very casual dining and reasonable prices.

It was delicious!! The food was great and the portion size was large!! A good place to eat!!

Perhaps staff should understand the potential for late night delivery. Why just pizza? The lady had nothing to say, was very rude, and didn't like any jokes. Maybe they watch a lot of tv. Delivery of a variety of food is an excellent idea for this country

B3 burger, plate of bacon cheese fries and a side of fried banana peppers and had more than enough to share! I will definitely be back!

Thank you SOOOO MUCH for rolling out a vegan menu! Had the sriracha burger today and it was the best vegan burger I've ever had! Can't wait to go back

Me and My boyfriend split the Double Full Nelson, which was gigantic, but it was also really really good. I got buffalo Bleu fries and they were delicious, and we have been introduced to Banana Pudding Cheesecake, to die for. Over all we had a great time.

Place is the greatest place to eat in JC. You can take your snobby out of town friends here and they’ll be impressed. Late nite delivery is key

Went for the first time since last summer, when I posted a negative review. I am so glad to say, that the food was the best that I have ever ordered from there, and the service was even better! Definitely, the best place to eat I'm or around the downtown area.

The worse service I have ever had. The waitress Holly was very hateful and rude. While cleaning a table she sprayed the cleaning solution on another table and it got in my face. The hamburger had so much seasoning on it..
