El Charro Restaurant - Johnson City - Photo album

Stopped in on our way back into Austin. Very tasty and great service. We tried the queso, migas, picadillo burrito and Monterrey chicken. We’ll definitely visit again.
Been a minute since I've been in Texas. The first meal I wanted was an authentic Mexican meal. I was not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed eating here so much until I had lunch and dinner here on the same day. You will not be disappointed!
Very good breakfast. The little one's enjoy there bean taco & fried cube potatoes. I also enjoy my big country breakfast. Waiter was really nice person. Going back there when I go through Johnson City, Texas on 281 N. A place to stop.
Good hand out time was terrible in the drive through. They took about more than 30 minutes to serve us our food. And even then they got most of our order wrong. I do not recommend eating here. Honestly just go down the road to agave.
They close 30 min before the time they advertise. You are not even allowed to place an order to go. I do not recommend. Please go to El Agave down the road. They let us in, made drinks, and food came very quickly.
Good food: had carnitas burrito, and Wifey had grilled beef quesadilla plate. Chips and salsa are fresh made. New: they now have alcohol on the menu (beer only).
This place is really good. I put it against any Mexican restaurant in Austin. It would beat out a lot of them out. The prices here are very reasonable too. I had their street tacos and lemonade. They were freaking awesome. The lady that took care of us was super friendly and the cook was funny. We c
Surprising little place with BIG TACOS and a lot of flavor! Must try the Steak a la Mexicana - the best! The red salsa has the perfect bite. The horchata is plentiful. If you get the opportunity, stop by and find your favorite menu item here. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
