Wonderful. We really enjoyed our breakfast. I had the large ham and it covered my plate. Great service. I live in Luther and its worth the drive. We will be back
Willard & Sarah and Kids
Nice neighborhood diner. I visited there recently and enjoyed the "small" chicken fried steak. It covered the entire plate. I asked, "How large is the "large" steak?," and they laughed and said it overlapped the plate. I picked squash for one of my vegetables and was surprised it came also chicken fried, but it was also very tasty and went well with their gravy.
I could tell that most diners were regulars because everyone knew everyone else including the owner and manager.
I'm not sure if I would make a special trip. However, if you're in the neighborhood and hungry, it's a place I think you would enjoy for lunch or breakfast. It's good fare and quick service.
Yes it's a small town cafe in the country ,so no one gets in a hurry! They stay busy so don't be in a rush. The food is good but the coffe is nothing to write home to mama about! Just remember where you are before expecting alot from this country cafe! If you're in a rush or a yuppy that thinks you're a food critic that's going to land a big job then just save you're time and don't go!
One of the few remaining "Like MaMa used to make it" Atmosphere is wonderful, staff and regulars treat newcomers like one of the family
That platter is about a foot long and 6 inches wide. That is the single largest CFS I have ever seen! It was really good, also. The CFS was fork-tender everywhere except one place on the edge. They hand-bread the CFS there. The CFS was good, it wasn’t as full of beef flavor as others have been, but it was good. It came with two sides; I got corn and green beans for the sides, and they were good also. It was some work, but I got it all down without any pain.
