Munchy's has been a local icon for several decades! Hot steamed sandwiches with fresh veggies. You gotta get some cheese sticks when you go! Try them out, you won't be disappointed.

Still a pretty good choice for lunch, but not what it once was. The place is a Jonesboro icon; but I found myself thinking the best part of my last visit was my nostalgic memories, rather than the food. The sandwiches have shrunk over the years, both in bread size and amount of meat. The famous cheese sticks aren't what I remember them being either. It's still better than a Subway meal, but there's room for improvement.

The staff is very friendly and they provided prompt service; however the restaurant could use a little sprucing up. Overall, I find myself wanting to like this place more than I actually do now. I'm pulling for them to improve a little.

Edit: April, 2018. The place has recently changed ownership, and improvements to reclaim its former glory are coming along. The food is much improved and the dining area has been cleaned up a lot. I still think the sandwiches should be a little larger. I think ordering two sandwiches would be too much, but just one leaves me wanting just a little more. The waffle fries and cheese sticks are both very solid choices to make your taste buds smile and your nutritionist panic.

Old fashioned steamed sandwiches. Before Firehouse came along, Munchy's was about the only place to find a good steamed sandwich you could get made to order. Straightforward, hot by steaming not baking or broiling, so the bread and cheese is soft and gooey. If that's the kind of sandwich you like, this is one of the places to get it.

If you're going to eat at here you have to know what to order. For those of you that want a plain turkey sandwich, you're waisting you money. Try something new. The hoagie deluxe is a customs favorite, as well as the hoagie, Reuben, rogers delight, BBQ and you, mini Dagwood ...ect. If you go in and are puzzled by what to order just ask someone and they make great suggestions! The spicy cheese sticks are a great twist on the normal cheese sticks.
