Review Funtime Cafe - Joshua

Saw this place on Restaurant Impossible and drove over an hour to try it. As of now, the name on the outside and on all social media still says “Fun Time Cafe” but the interior and the menus say “CW’s.” You walk in to a wall commemorating Robert Irvine’s time with them. And the decor throughout looks bright, clean, and colorful. We ordered the Patty Melt Burrito and the Pork Ribs. Both tasted good and were cooked well, but the ribs were easily the star of the show! Wow! They fell off the bone and were bursting with flavor. Mixed with the pineapple slaw, it was even better. Also, the staff was SUPER kind and friendly. They’ll make you like coming just in their demeanor. You can tell they take pride in their work. It was a fun, worthwhile trip with my daughter! Cool experience.

We made a side trip because of the Restaurant Impossible episode and loved it. Hubby had the ribs and I had the chicken sandwich which were both delicious. Excellent staff who didn't hesitate to refill drinks and check in on us. We also got to chat with the delightful owner, Wayne about the episode. If we lived nearby, we'd be regulars.

Very nice waitress! Very cute and comfortable atmosphere. The food was too notch and worth every penny. Our waitress was so kind and attentive, made suggestions and gave us a little background insight to this restaurant. The menu caters to everyone, my daughter had enchiladas, my son had breakfast, and I had the best darn chicken fried chicken ever!

Good size portions at a reasonable price. Parking in the front area is a bit congested but doable with handicap parking. There is a front and back entrance with parking at each. My wife ordered the chicken fajitas, they were tasty but as she put it, too greasy. Service was good and staff were friendly, the environment was relaxed and comfortable, you can opt to sit at a table or booth. There are areas inside for large families or groups.

Had the street corn quesadilla and it was amazing! Husband had cheese enchiladas and those were tasty too. This was our first time visiting in over a year and there is definitely a more pleasant ambience inside since they remodeled. We will be back!

I've spent enough time in San Antonio to know that this is most certainly not authentic Tex-Mex. The food is overpriced, underwhelming, and left me feeling sluggish. Not a particularly good combination if you ask me. Service was great though so adding a star for that.

Let not the name Fun Time Cafe fool you... for this is an Amazing place for Tex-Mex food and Chicken Fried Steak... I had the Carmen Plate which consisted of two tempting Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas, two appetizing Beef Tacos with the fixings, Spanish Rice and Refried Beans and please don't be shy in adding their homemade salsa, it just compliments the flavors even more... And for dessert, I had the Hot Brownie Sundae.... It was to die for... Yes, it was that good. Service was excellent and on point, so I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Granted that this place is kinda hidden on the outskirts of the city of Joshua, one should definitely need to give it a try, you won't be disappointed...

Good food and customer service! The food was served hot and was very tasty. The owner is very nice and puts a lot of thought into his restaurant. I had the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes. I was very satisfied! They also have Tex-Mex options that are good. I had a burrito one visit and it was great as well!
