By far my favorite restaurant in Kona. The service is excellent. Breakfast buffet is fresh and delicious with many options to choose from. The restaurant sits inside of The King Kamehameha Marriott hotel with a beautiful beach view. My last dinner there was from a seafood buffet that had eveything you can thhink of crab legs, shrimp, sushi, clam chowder, mussels....I would highly recommend Honu's !

Honu's is at the top of the pier on the beach in the King Kamehameha's Hotel (Courtyard Marriott). Great view, 3 hour parking validation from the restaurant. I had the Wild Seared Ahi with a Maki roll for my entree and it was delicious. Generously sized as well. ($28). The Wedge salad was huge ($10) with a feta dressing and an avocado done tempura-style, which although not listed that way (I'm on a diet) was a delicious surprise. The children's meals are crazy cheap for better dining - range from $4-6. My children had the house made pasta and it smelled really good. We tried the lava cake at dessert and it was good as well. Service was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Seafood and Prime Rib Buffet is a must!!. The Friday/Sat night seafood and prime rib buffet for $34.95 is a great value. They have everything you could want...from sushi and shrimp to clam chowder and all you can eat crab legs. The dessert table was extensive as well. This is the best value we found on the Big Island. Also...if you are a guest of King Kam, you can get 20% off.

We had the seafood buffet which was fabulous. There was an entire room of appetizers including clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, salads, raw fish specialties and crab legs. Everything we tried was excellent especially the crab legs. The main course offerings were prime rib, tempura shrimp and zucchini, and a pasta station where you choose your own ingredients and they cook them for you adding either Alfredo or marinara sauce at the end. All of the entrées were delicious. Yes we tried them all! Service was also excellent. Although this was a buffet all selections were plated by the staff who were numerous so that there was no waiting in line. Afterwards there was a dessert bar also excellent. And live music too.

Superb food, great service. Good prices for the Island, view of the beach from your table. Connected to the hotel Marriott courtyard. We were there a few times during our stay and each time was really a pleasure. Handicapped accessible.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner while staying in Kona for their weekend buffet. It was $50/person and they had a decent amount of options. There were 2 types of sushi, 1 chicken dish, 1 pork dish, 1 fish dish, crab legs and the beef roast. There were also 3 sides and a pasta/salad station. The servers were so nice and quick to help you, the view was also beautiful. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because it was a little pricey in my opinion for the number of options. But all delicious.

We had a beautiful all you can eat seafood buffet. Everything was incredibly delicious and fresh! Service was superb, and we couldn't have asked for a better setting at night. The restaurant overlooks a Cove where King Kamehameha used to rejuvenate and rest. It has great historical significance. A honor to dine there.

Very solid and convenient option if you're staying at the Courtyard King Kam. We ate breakfast here 3 or 4 times during our weeklong stay here this summer. Any place that'll let me grab all the bacon I could possibly want and load up my plate with whatever else I want in addition, is my kinda place. Also a fresh omelet bar, I'm not even a huge omelet fan but they were slanging some excellent omelets here. Only slight negatives I'd note were 1) the fresh fruit bar was frequently covered in fruit flies, 2) sometimes if you're away from your table too long some birds might fly in and peck at your food (lol), and 3) the price is slightly high for the quality of the food you're getting. I wouldn't mind the price so much if I could get a mimosa without an upcharge, but I digress. Overall a very good option for quick breakfasts to fuel you up for exploring the island ... or just drinking by the pool!

The buffet at Honu's is INCREDIBLE - My wife and I did a lot of searching for a good luau to visit on our tour of the big island, but going with Honu's all you can eat buffet for so much more flavor at half the price was one of the best dinich decisions of our trip! Friendly and quality service, delicious food, and great views makes Honu's an an awesome night out. Plus, parking is free for your dinner at the Marriott it shares a facility with!

Very tasty dinner buffet. The prime rib was well cooked and fresh, as were the crab legs. Would have liked the dessert pies to be colder but overall a great experience to be had while dining km the beach!

Decent wine list. And after trying pokè at 7 other places before this, we think THIS is the best pokè we’ve ever had. Also the sushi was excellent (we loved the honu and spicy tuna rolls).
