One of the best Thai I've had. Small little dive of a place but more than compensates with reasonably priced food with great flavor and taste. Highly recommend this. A tier above the other Thai places in Kzoo.

Excellent food, service, & prices!. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Kalamazoo area.

The food is delicious, the spice levels controllable, and the hot is genuinely spicy, which is a rare and wonderful thing for spice-lovers like myself to find. For those who don't love the heat or aren't used to authentic Thai heat spices, be warned their their "medium" is the equivalent to "hot" in most Americanized ethnic restaurants. I have loved everything I have tried on their menu, but a favorite has to be the curried duck. They cook it right-- it's not too dry or greasy. The portions are generous, so you'll probably have leftovers to take home, and Thai food always re-heats nicely.

The service is always prompt and polite, and they're very helpful if you're not sure what to try. Be warned, though, that if you're there are peak meal times you may have to wait. The place is pretty small, but the wait will be well worth it!

Came here with a large group last year when staying in Kalamazoo for a dog show. Tonight just my handler and I went back and the waitress not only remembered us but remembered what type of wine we drank! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is A-mazing! Probably some of the best Thai I have had nation wide from appetizers to main course to soups to dessert. Be advised their medium is close to med hot or hot in other restaurants. Food is fresh fast and just plain amazing. We will visit here every time we are in town. Maybe even tomorrow or Sunday before we head home!

THIS IS THE PLACE FOR THAI!. I live in Kalamazoo and once I was introduced to Bangkok Flavor I was completely addicted! They even make my favorite meal, which isn't even on the menu, without a blind of the eye! I travel a lot and I'm always looking to find Thai food, I always think maybe I'll be able to find a place even better than Bangkok flavor in a big city...but NO!! I've always been so disappointed in other Thai restaurants, NOTHING can compare!! They are always on point with spice levels as well, and my boyfriend (who is a cook himself) who is very picky about this is always pleased...I cannot give enough praise! Can't wait to get back home and get my Bangkok Flavor!!

Authentic!. I lived in Thailand for two months and have to say this is authentic Thai food! They will make it mild to spicy just how you like it. We especially love the Gang Garee, Panang and Masam curry, the Thai apple or the papaya salad are also delicious! Love that their mark up on wine is minimal compared to other restaurants so my husband and I always treat ourselves to a bottle of Clos Du Bois chardonnay. Friendly staff too!

Wonderful. My companion and I stopped by this little gem on Saturday. I enjoyed the Thai apple salad, while my companion enjoyed a curry and pad thai dish.
If you love thai, Bangkok Flavor is worth a trip, even if its a little out of the way.

Mmm... now that is Thai!. I find it hard to find good Thai food in Michigan. The best Thai food is always in Washington DC, or New York City, or other big cities with lots of culture.

Finally I was introduced to Bangkok. I have ordered via phone 3 times. Perfect service, food was still hot and delicious when I got home... nothing to complain about! Oh, and it actually tasted like Thai food, not Chinese or Japanese.

I was a little hesitant at eating in the restaurant because I get grossed out so easily... however, the place was very clean and I had no problems with my food!

My food was just as great as when I ordered it for home. We were treated wonderfully. The service was a little slow... but nice slow, not hurry up its been hours slow...

After searching for a good place, that tastes authentic, is clean and has great service... I have finally found my Thai in Michigan!!!

Best Thai.....Now moderately priced. We have eaten at Bangkok Flavor many , many times. We love it and will drive across town to eat there. We live closer to Thai Cuisine but prefer the food and the prices at B.F.!
Recently B.F. has raised their prices to match Thai Cuisine's but the food is wonderful at B.F so we will continue to dine there!
Enjoy!

Wonderful food!. One of my favorite restaurants. You'll be treated like family and return visitors are greeted with warmth and gratitude. I've loved everything I've ordered, but my current favorite is Bangkok chicken. Chicken is crispy and sweet basted with a chili sauce, mixed with vegetables and peanuts. The textures and flavors are amazing! Their jasmine tea is perfect with the food. Warning: medium (spiciness) is very hot and hot is fiery!

Super good.. The food here is awesome. The Bangkok Fried Rice (about $14 for what looks to be 6 servings or so) is packed with chicken and shrimp, perfectly seasoned, and never disappoints. My wife always gets the Pad Se-Ew, with tofu, and she LOVES it.

The waitstaff is polite, and they are always on the move.

My only complaint is that they always seem to be understaffed, so it takes a while for someone to take your drink order, then it takes a while for someone to take your food order. The food comes out pretty quick, and then it takes a while to get your bill. Not a big deal if you aren't in a hurry.

I've been there 5 or 6 times, and it is always delicious.

Worth the wait.. Small space, so expect to wait, especially if you go during "peak" lunch and dinner times. Service is a bit slow but pleasant. The atmosphere is so-so, but the food makes it all worthwhile. There's something for everyone, and a warning: hot is VERY spicy!

Hey What's This?. Bangkok Flavor was a great surprise. It will certainly become a favorite. So far, I've tried a nice, hot chicken dish and #26, Pla Dook Pad Ped. Stir fried catfish in a coconut milk curry sauce. The catfish was crispy and fresh tasting. The sauce was just surprisingly good. It has a good consistency, slightly thickened, and a nuanced balance of flavors--not overmuch coconut or fish sauce. I ordered medium heat, a change from my usual hot. SingHa Thai lager was great with it. I'm not really up on Thai food, but just on the basis of ingredients, preparation, and combinations of flavors, this restaurant does really well.

Great Stuff. I love this place. Their Gang Gai and Pa Nang are both excellent. The only thing I've tried there that I didn't care for is their fried rice (or whatever type). Other than that, everything else is very good. Highly recommended!

Wow, double thumbs up on this place...lucky lucky Kzoo! This is probably the best Thai food I have ever had. Our table shared four entrees, all different and we were definitely very happy with every dish. Look no further for Thai, this is the place to go. Thanks to UrbanSpoon for helping us find this gem during our travels!

I think this place should be more popular. Their food is delicious, If you like Thai food, this is the place for you. My personal top 3 dishes here are: • Peanut curry noodles (MUST TRY!!!) • Pad See Ew • Chicken fried rice You can get a spot pretty easily, and once you get in you will find a helpful staff. Our food was ready in no-time and that’s good because we always come hungry.

I visited last week and AGAIN today. Everything I have tried, I've enjoyed. Faves include: curry fried rice (w/ pork), combo appetizer for 2 plate, massaman curry, curry vegetables, Tom Ka w/ chicken. The Tom Ka w/ chicken is delicious. Loaded w/ chicken, green onions, and baby corn in a spicy, flavorful, creamy broth. Everything I have ordered I have requested mild. It still has a little mouth burn for me, but... it burns so good. I order two every time, one to save for later. It is such a good comforting soup. Pictured is the Tom Ka and 1/2 the combo appetizer plate. Love the peanut sauce and cucumber sauce. Portions are generous and most entrees have lasted multiple meals. I have dined in before, but usually get it to go. Do yourself a favor and try this.

Ordered Thai Iced tea, Tom ka soup with shrimp and Entree # 29 Pad Talay. Asked the server for recommendation based on what I was looking for and she was very helpful and kind and explained everything in detail. Glad I ordered what she recommended. Loved the taste of everything. 10/10. Portion sizes were good too! enjoyed left overs later on!

Consistent excellence, some of the best authentic Thai dishes you will ever taste, great employees, comfortable environment, fair prices, large portion sizes. Put all those together and there's absolutely no reason to not love Bangkok Flavor! They do it right, every time. Try it and you will crave it. Competitors can't come close to the flavor and freshness you will find here. Hands down, the best Thai restaurant I've ever experienced.

I don't usually leave reviews but the food here is fantastic. I got the Bangkok fried rice, and it made my day it was so good. The portion size was huge too. I can usually put away a lot of food, but I ended up having to take some home because they gave me a huge heaping bowl of food about twice the size of what I usually have for a single meal. The atmosphere was great too.

Amazing 😍 Thai Cuisine is our recent favorite after visiting here. Me and my wife tried the combo appetizer, Tom ka soup and Massaman curry. Everything was fantastic. We recommend medium spicy level in all the selection because hot is too spicy 😅

Very delicious food. Everything I've eaten so far tastes great. If you haven't tried anything here yet, I'd suggest trying the Pad Thai first.

Neat place with some tasty food! Seating may be limited sometimes, but wasn’t that crowded during my visit. Service wasn’t really quick, still good enough. Veggie spring rolls were good. Boss’s fried rice (winter special) was decent, however I was charged the price of Beef version even for Tofu, while other fried rices are clearly marked different. Also tried curry fried rice, but it was quite moist, with some curry gravy in the serving, which is quite unusual for fried rice. However, it was delicious and creamy! Iced tea was very good and balanced, and along with Sticky mango (purple) rice, they felt soothing enough to quench those spice flames from fried rice. I heard the staff mentioning discounts for cash payment, while they hadn’t mentioned anything to me until I paid with my credit card. Overall, food tastes good, service could be better!

Delicious Massaman curry and perfect mango sticky rice. Laab was ok (needed 20x more lime). Half the menu is authentic gems. Will eat here every time in Kalamazoo!

Best Thai in town for decades. Small, only seats 31, I counted. Better get here early or you could wait a while. Worth the wait though. Super good Tom Yum, and my fav Pad Ped, beef and vegetables in a spicy red curry. Mmmm.
