First time here. This place was hopping! There is plenty of parking around the resturant. Our waitress, Jamie was very friendly and accommodating. Our food was on par with other breakfast places. We would visit again if in the area.

Homemade sausage gravy and homemade ranch. Everything is delicious, and it is reasonably priced, too! It was our 1st time and we will be returning! It was a spur of the moment choice.

Great food and service. Cash only though they do have an Atm machine. Our food was really good, as was our service, but the 2 1/2 slices of thin bacon was a bit skimpy. The pancakes instead of toast was great though.

Really, the only negative I can give this place is that they don't except debit or credit cards. They do have an ATM in the lobby, but they charge you $3 service fee. I would rather the restaurant have a card service fee and take credit cards. Positive, the smoke brisket eggs Benedict was amazing, and I opted for fruit instead of potatoes, and there was almost too much fruit. Great breakfest and service

I stopped here after my first choice turned out to be a restaurant that was closed for construction. As soon as I reached for the front door, I noticed a sign that said, “Cash only, no credit cards”. Normally this would be enough to make me go somewhere else, but I was tired of driving and really wanted to eat. I had money in my pocket, and I decided to stay. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and when it arrived, it looked good. You could tell the turkey was hand carved as some pieces were thick and others were thin. The turkey was very tender and moist. The gravy was darker than I’m used to on Turkey sandwiches, it almost looked like a beef gravy. Looks aside, the taste was good. The mashed potatoes were very creamy and smooth. This was a wonderful lunch. The ONLY reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s cash only. It is 2023 and I understand that there are charges associated with accepting credit cards, all you must do is put up a sign that says there would be a -% added to credit card charges. I know many other small businesses that do this, and it is so much more accommodating than just CASH ONLY… I’m sorry to say, but I won’t be back.

In town for business so we are unfamiliar with the area. This was the closest place to our hotel and we were very happy with our discovery. Very cute little family owned place with good food and service. I had coffee poured before I could even pull off my hat. Hubby got steak and eggs with crispy hash browns and they were very tasty. I had a craving for French toast and eggs which is not usually a combination but the waitress helped me out. I had the "Fancy Strawberry French Toast". It is actually made with strawberry bread kinda like banana bread so it's a denser bread than I expected but it was very tasty. I was only able to east 1 of the 2 pc ordered. (A cream cheese drizzle would have made this even more fancy and yummy). Thanks for a great meal. Fyi it's a cash only place (our favorite place back home is the same way, I only mention it so you know to have cash. I did sport an ATM in the lobby.

We arrived to a full house. Even as busy as they were, waitstaff were on task and our order was served up in a normal amount of time. Good food at a fair price.

Surprisingly great. Did not have high expectations but the food was great. Had a chicken Philly sandwich and cinnamon roll. Both were wonderful. It’s a cash only place so be prepared.

I usually have a picture, but I was busy visiting with family and forgot. However, we REALLY enjoyed our 1st visit. The food was quickly served, and the waitress was SUPERB!! They were from Des Moines, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Chicago, and ALL said they WILL be back next visit. Thanks again, LaRue's!!

Best breakfast in Kalamazoo! Depending on who's in the kitchen, but usually, never disappointed. The coffee is a little lackluster but not bad they just have an outdated machine. Still cash only, and I don't think that's gonna change. "If it ain't broke, don't, fix it," as they say. The host is always very friendly and is a super nice guy. Overall, it is usually a great experience. I would recommend 👍

Still the best breakfast stop in the area! I used to come in every day for a couple months in 2015/16 when I worked a job near here. The food was great, price was fair, and staff was friendly, and aware of our needs immediately. It was wonderful to stop in this morning to find it the same! I do miss the wait staff we had every day back then, but it may have just been her day off.... Great memories here!

Becca, our server was AMAZING! Kept it coming with the coffee refills. My favorite part was the large pieces of sliced honeydew and cantaloupe. Everything else tastes great as well.
