My husband and I shared the appetizer platter and birria quesadilla (picture only shows half of quesadilla). So delicious! And so much food!! The birria was tender and super flavorful. Everything was hot and fresh. Salsa was spicyyyy but delish. The guac was so good. All in all a great meal for this pregnant gal and we'll be back for their taco special on Mondays!

Pitstopped at this one on the way back to Chicago from Detroit. It's definitely a hole in the wall and bit of a drive off the highway, but worth it. I grabbed a variety of street style tacos. Choice of various meats topped with onion and cilantro on two corn tortillas. Served with red and green salsa in a plastic container ready to be poured on for every bite. My only complaint would be that my horchata tasted a bit over sweet with some undertone of another fruit as if the serving machine had been previously used for some other agua fresca. Small star deducted, but overall I thought the food was great! Will definitely think of this spot the next time I'm travelling between Chicago & Detroit and could use some leg stretches and tacos. 'Til next time, cheers!

I was referred to Quekas Authentic Mexican Food on E Cork St, Kalamazoo, MI, by Julio, a seasoned Mexican correcaminos who would drive miles for their tacos de birria. Mexico was indeed in Carmen's hospitality and food. Natalya, my wife, went for the Aztec soup and I for a bowl of pozole left over from a big wedding order and, of course, the tacos de birria. We were not disappointed and it was well priced.

Awesome authentic Mexican cuisine. Their chorizo tacos are the best in the Kalamazoo area. Also, their roasted tomatillo salsa is killer! Best I have ever had hands down. Also, they have menudo on Saturday, which I like.

I went with a Queka de Birria, taco de tripas, tacos de birria and elote (Street style corn). Everything was great, will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu! Spoke to whom I presume is the owner, they're from Guadalajara, and that's the style birria they make.

We go to Mexico every year on vacation and I crave authentic Mexican food the rest of the year. Not now that I have found Quekas! They have everything from Milanesa to tortas. The al Pastor is sooooo good. And yes...they even have elote! I have loved everything I have tried here. The food and the service are amazing! If you want good, authentic Mexican food this is the place to go.

All day mexican breakfasts, fat tasty tacos, and the super quekas. O. M. G. I took two bites and put my food down to call the restaurant back and tell them how tasty the queka was. Wont describe it, go in blind, its the best. Here is a chicken taco mexican style, i ate its friends.

Quaint little place to grab a bite of authentic Mexican food. I don't remember what I ordered, it was okay. I'm not too crazy about the Salsa Verde.

I've ate here twice had the steak tacos Mexican style. Mmmm mmm!!! Then I had the chicken enchilada with beans and rice. It wasn't a traditional enchilada I've had in time past. It was pretty much a corn taco folded like a taco with salsa and cheese drizzled; but this didn't take away from the great taste and presentation. Both experiences were great. Pleasant waitress friendly environment. I'll be back 💜

This is truly the most authentic Mexican restaurant I’ve found in Kalamazoo. Every bite is SEASONED and delicious. Order anything from their Birria menu and you will not be disappointed. The couple who owns and runs the place are excellent hosts and very kind.

Service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and the menu has quite a variety to choose from. We ordered birria tacos, guacamole, steak tacos and consume. All in all good, but the flavor lacked a bit in spiciness. Maybe that is the norm up here in the north. I would give them another chance though. Especially since it is a small business.

Just passing through Kalamazoo, we were looking for a Mexican place with decent vegetarian options. I was so impressed by their vegan offerings! The vegan sopes and vegan tostada were fantastic! My husband ordered the Carne Asada and thought it was really good, authentic, and delicious. We also split a queso dip that was everything you'd want it to be. If we find ourselves out that way again, we will likelu make a point to return!
