Went here while dropping our daughter off to college. We ordered some burgers and kids meals, food was good. My daughter had the Moo Oink & Quack which is a Buffalo chicken between two thin hamburger patties; tasty, not spicy. I had the the Spicy Goat burger which is two thin hamburger patties and a jalapeño cream cheese; this too was good, my daughter and I didn’t think it was very spicy. My wife had the egg burger which was good. Our other kids ordered some kids meals and they like me them too. Service was a little slow but we weren’t in a hurry so it didn’t bother us; the server did forget some things like a drink that we ended up canceling as we were all done.
Some of the best fries I have ever had! They were just perfectly crispy without being overcooked and the seasoning was delicious.
The burger was really good too. My daughter got the chicken strips and I tried a few bites of them, they were also really good.
Definitely someplace I would go back to if I am in the area again.
My finance has had this place on his wanna-go list for about a year, and I wish we had gone sooner because it was SO GOOD!!! Definitely coming back! We got the truffle fries, which were really good. And then he got the goat burger, I got the fried pickle burger, and my mom got the steakhouse. They were all really good, but we all agreed that the goat was... Well, the g.o.a.t 😂 also, all of the employees there were super nice, unfortunately the waitress we had is going to be leaving soon. The service was also very quick. I would definitely recommend going here for good food and a good time

The sun had disappeared in the horizon and left a rosy glow in the evening sky while we had gone to West Main in Kalamazoo for burgers but found our destination closed for Monday.
We headed over to the WMU campus area after a quick check-in with Yelp and tried our luck at The Old Goat Tavern.
And luck was with us! We do not frequent campus regularly and although the Old Goat has been around for several years and it was not on our radar. OG is exactly a modern tavern: Lots of wood, steel, glass with a long bar and surround TV screens with tons of sports.
Our server was very helpful explaining the menu and food options that are available. We liked the idea of being to order the number of smash burger patties for the burger option. There was a lot available from the menu and we ordered The Goat (SB) with a side of Truffle fries. My SO ordered her burger as a you-build with reg. fries.
My, oh my, good food in a bounty! The BEST bacon jam we have ever tasted. The burgers were grilled juicy and well seasoned. The buns were the best size for the sandwich. I had bacon jam and burger juice dripping into my basket and I mopped up the delicious mess with my bun with delight. The Truffle fries were hot and crisp (not greasy) and tasty with garlic aioli.
We'll be back!
I’ve been here quite a bit and usually really like the food. Today was just…disappointing though. I ordered the “tavern cheese & pretzel bites” but what I received was pretzel buns that had been sliced and fried. I could literally squeeze grease out of the bread 😅 it was not pleasant! It’s very misleading to list the item as pretzel bites.
The fried Oreos slapped tho, so I’ll definitely be back for that.
More so a collage kid hang out. The food was ok. I can imagine this would be a good place to hang out if I was younger.
Definitely a college sports bar vibe. But it was fun. Staff was very friendly and the bartender actually knew how to make drinks. We got a brand new server, but she did very well. Our food came out hot and fairly quick. It was a slow Monday but still brought in a small crowd by the nights end. Food was great.
It was Wednesday, so they had the burger basket special, which I got. It was good, but the reason I'm giving it four out of five stars is because I've most definitely had better burgers and fries at other restaurants. These tasted very much like something I could have made at home myself. So yes, good, but not great.
An awesome spot. If you like sports, this is the place to watch it. Also the ultimate mimosas on Sunday for $3 are awesome and taste great.
Shout-out for having a Philly Flyers jersey on the wall too.
By far the best food I've eaten being up north. The staff is truly like a family, consistently giving great customer service. But genuinely strive to make what they do the best. The Goat Burger was hard to put down, the flavors just kept you wanting more. The spicy cheese curds were unbelievable, my hats off to whoever created the menu. Definitely a spot I recommend to others to eat and drink. Bartender definitely made great recommendations. Management here know what they want, and what they are doing. It is a college town, but hey they treat everyone like a backyard BBQ, FAMILY!
It was super busy for a Tuesday nite. It was very hard to get a drink or cash out. However the black and blue burger was AMAZING!!! I would come back just for that.
I googled biker bar near me and this came up as #1 in kalamazoo. Its not a biker bar at all its a college hang out bar but it was a cool joint. Nice little out door patio. The drink menu was good-the cocktail menu was good but the food menu was lacking alittle so i opted for the Goat Fries and Goat sauce and to chase it all down i got a blakes cider then got back on the bike and headed on down the road. Came for the karaoke, but the service and atmosphere made it so much more fun...crowd was fun... keep up the good work, gang.. Miranda and Payton were friendly and rely great.
Great experience, fast service, and friendly staff. Based on personal preference, I wish my burger had a little more seasoning and spice but, the fries were perfect! Over all, the experience was worth it and we definitely will be back.
The fryies were amazing.. great seaoning paired with the garlic mayo! The burger had a great bun and fresh vegs. Meat needs seasoning!!.
