Always a treat to have breakfast on Saturday mornings. You know it’s a great place when young children immediately choose the Cooper Cafe when asked where they want to eat breakfast. Friendly service, great portions and great prices!

I work down the road from the restaurant. A co-worker and I come in for lunch at least once a week. The food is always great, and the service is fantastic! Definitely a great place for a meal and a warm atmosphere.

Awesome breakfast at the crack of dawn with my Aunt Donna in Southwest Michigan. They even turned the train on! The Nenas omelette was one of the best I ever had! My aunt kept raving about how perfectly cooked the bacon was. Large portions and good prices!

Cooper Cafe is still on Douglas Avenue in Cooper Township...but it has a new owner--Christina McDowell Norris, a new name--Nena's Cooper Cafe, and the "lake" in the back is now a solid parking lot. The menu has old favorites but there are new breakfast and lunch specials everyday. The beef stew over biscuits was excellent today. If you haven't been there lately--give it another try.

Great food. Great atmosphere. The dining area is a bit small, so get there early!

Great food and service. Everyone was attentive to the customers, and they gave out carnations to all ladies for Mothers Day. Thanks for a great start to the day!

As a student at WMU from 04-09 I used to attend every Bluegrass Breakfast I possibly could. I was fortunate enough to be able to sit in with the old timers(along with tommy mac) and pick out some of my favorite tunes such as "John Hardy", "Maple on the HIll", "Wildwood Flower" and many others. I can't wait to take my Fiance to the Cooper Cafe sometime soon. The breakfast food is top notch. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure!

Cooper Cafe isn’t fancy, but it is comfy and it is good. It has all the things you’re looking for in a breakfast joint outside of the city.

The Train!!!. Great, local diner serving up traditional breakfast foods. My Denver omelet and hashbrowns were good, and my daughter's pancakes that I was picking at was also very good. There are a lot of breakfast joints in town, though, and the food doesn't stand out enough for me to recommend it on that basis alone.

But, this place is about more than the food. Although the dining area is small and intimate, the service was spectacular, the ambiance was great (it just felt...homey), and most importantly, THERE WAS A BAND AND A TRAIN. That's right, a model train circles the room to keep the kiddos entertained (there's even a train whistle they can pull), and a bluegrass band played throughout our breakfast at that magic volume where you can hear them if you want to listen, but not overpowering anyone's conversation. This, this is what makes the trip worth it.

Delicious and big servings! Have them throw a slab of butter in a giant cinnamon roll and then share it with the table if you come with people worthy enough to share with!

I am 44 years old. Literally the best hash browns I have ever eaten in my life. Get the spicy ones. Oh. My. God.

They’re a smaller café, but the food is good and at reasonable prices!! I’ve only ever been there for breakfast, I go once or twice a month.

Nena’s Cooper Cafe was awesome. From the moment we walked in the door, everyone was so friendly. We had French toast, bacon, sausage and eggs. Everything was outstanding! Highly recommend!

I love going here for breakfast with my friends. It’s a cute little spot with really nice and friendly waitresses. I’ve been here many times and I’ve had an omelette, cinnamon roll pancakes, fruit, and a cinnamon roll. All things were delicious! Love this place for breakfast!

Just north of Kalamazoo, a friendly place to stop in and get breakfast or lunch (or dinner on Friday nights only).
