Food was delicious. First time here as well. Trinity was an awesome server! Very helpful and knew the menu down to a T. Hope to be back next time we have a chance to visit MO. Thank you so much for the kind service! The experience 10/10.
The baked jalapeño cornbread was delicious. It is different than we have ever tried, and with the sweet butter, it was delightful.
The ribs pretty much fell off the bone, and super flavorful.
The wings were nice and crispy, perfectly breaded/saturated. The crispy edges were bursting with flavors of flame BBQ and pepper, they had a slight heat to them.
The beans were a table favorite. Such a delicious zesty BBQ
The service and decor was great at this location and we got right in for lunch. I have to start by saying the Beef Rib was the best bite of BBQ I had while visiting KC. So good that it just might just bring tears to your eyes. It's totally worth the visit. Everything else was average I'd say and just a bit dry. Nothing horrible but nothing else that blew my mind. Joe's BBQ had better ribs and brisket in my opinion but that beef rib must be tried. Holy smokes.
This place is a KC classic and I enjoy myself every time I come here. In my opinion the trout is the best thing on the menu, getting an entire trout is so good for the price. The glaze on it is delicious and I love pairing it with the blackberry bbq sauce for a little kick! I got a lemon drop with tequila and it was very strong got my money’s worth for sure!! Of course we had to get burnt ends as well, and they were so tender and flavorful, I love recommending this place to everyone’
Finally found good BBQ in KC. This is an upscale restaurant but the staff are really friendly and take good care of you. They have a great selection of local beers. Their burnt ends and ribs were great. FYI, If I’d have known, I would have asked for the sauce on the side. They serve with sauce already draped over the meats. The Carrot cake was over the top delicious!
Great atmosphere but you definitely need to make a reservation before going here. Extremely popular spot and super crowded. We had a reservation and still waited 40 minutes for our table. The food was good but nothing to write home about. Just a pricier barbecue place. But I will visit here again!
Great food and amazing service. I tried the burnt ends and they were great but the Pulled Pork Mac N Cheese and Barbecue Shrimp had my heart and stomach (lol)!
I was staying at a hotel near by and was recommended Jack stacks and could not have been happier!!!! Fist of all I showed up the first evening 45 minutes before closing and was uneasy about being one of those last minute customers, but the hostess insisted I come in and have the Jack Stacks experience so after a few rounds of insisting I caved . I sat at the bar and was taken care of by Anthony and Stephen . Two fantastic bartenders who made me feel like I was a long lost friend!!! I enjoyed the food and service so much that I came back the next night and ordered a different meal off the menu!!! I wa so impressed that they both called me by my name when I walked in the 2nd night!!!! I have a very unusual name and it meant the world to me that they took the time to remember my crazy name”Audwynn” I came back my third and final night in town and all total had the brisket, burnt ends pork and beef, sausage, salmon, and the smoked wings. My side were, pot salad, baked Ben’s and broccoli . It was all amazingly delicious but I particularly loved the pork burnt ends, salmon and maybe the best wings I’ve had in my life!!! I also ordered the garlic broccoli all three nights. Do yourself a favor and swing by, sit at the bar and ask for Anthony or Stephen? Tell them Audwynn sent you!
Had a great time, although we went during peak period so there was a lot of waiting. We ending up sitting at the bar area but it was okay. Had a lovely time and enjoyed my carrot cake. Definitely a nice place to have barbecue if you are ever in Kansas City, I would recommend making reservations if you plan to go during the weekend, so you don’t end up waiting so long:)
Was in KC for a work conference. JS was recommended by a few people. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I had the Mac and cheese with pulled pork appetizer (nice and cheesy) for my meal; spare ribs, potato salad and baked beans (the beans were delicious, get them!!!)
My colleague had some kind of fried mushrooms, they were huge, she liked them. I tried the coleslaw but didn't like it, it was chopped and kind of runny, I don't know if those were celery seeds or what but the coleslaw wasn't good in my opinion.
The best part of our experience was the server Maddy. She was great at recommending/suggesting menu items. Excellent service all the way around. She suggested the carrot cake...take my advice if you are a carrot cake fan, GET THE CARROT CAKE! And if you are not a carrot cake fan, you will be after eating theirs!!
YOU WONT REGRET IT!!
I went back the 2nd day and had the spinach salmon salad with strawberries, again, delicious!! This place isn't setup like your ordinary BBQ place. It looks kind of fancy and expensive when you walk in but it wasn't expensive and it was well worth the cost. Please open a location in metro Atlanta!!!
Jack Stack never disappoints! Excellent service, drinks and some of the best KC BBQ we’ve had. We were on a tight timeline due to a concert…made a reservation through Open Table ahead of time. Our table was ready as promised and we made our show with perfect timing!
We had the Que for Two Roundup, Big Pig sandwich and appetizer Pork & Mac - PLENTY of deliciousness for four of us. Highly recommend the homemade carrot cake too.
