Best breakfast in a long time! Can’t say enough about the food - quantity, quality and price were far above the normal bar. My wife loved the crispy thick cut bacon and one of the flakiest biscuits she’d had. The owner was so friendly and even followed us into the Great Hall to give us some of the home made deserts from the brunch buffet they were preparing. They are delicious! We’ll be back for brunch some day if the breakfast is any indication!

We have eaten at Harvey's twice. Once with out of town guests and the second time was for Easter brunch, 2017. Both times, we were extremely pleased with the quality and quantity of the food Harvey's serves. The Bloody Mary's are delicious too! Our server we had the first time was great, I can't remember her name though. Becca was our server for Easter brunch, she was great, friendly and very attentive. We will be making reservations for Mother's Day. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience.

First time there forr the Mother's Day Brunch. We were a party of 10. Everything from the food to the service was excellent. I was very impressed! I recommend Harvey's highly. I decided this will continue to be a Mother's Day tradition!

I've been for Mother's Day brunch twice and just for Sunday brunch. Wide variety of selections to choose from and food is always hot and excellent. Returning for Mother's Day brunch on Sunday.

Very simple and laid back. Love people watching and taking my time to eat. The coffee is great and I have loved everything I have ordered at this point. I have gone 7 times this year alone and have no complaints.

I love the food and atmosphere here. We go to Mother’s Day brunch here every year (make reservations early!) and love it! Their offerings are varied and plentiful and everything is well-stocked and delicious. Only disappointment would probably be their cocktails....you want a fancy mimosa or sangria and it’s just meh looking and tasting. But the food and beautiful Union Station cannot be beat.

Daily specials and regular menu are both great. Love the cinnamon roll pancake, crab cakes benedict, chicken quesadilla, and all the soups to name a few.

Harvey’s is a unique place to grab breakfast or lunch. Sitting right in the middle of Union Station, Harvey’s is a two story, round open-air dinner with a vibe that fits right in with its historic surroundings. Harvey’s is the casual family option to the excellent fine dining Pierpont restaurant. While not on the same culinary level it still delivers good food at reasonable prices. The “hits” were the KC Classic sandwich with burnt ends, candied jalapeños in a bbq sauce. The bread was delicious but not what a Southerner would call jalapeño corn bread. The accompanying fries were excellent. The Harry T’s Plate was another hit with a beautiful presentation. The misses were the Harvey’s Mac & Cheese and the Chili Verde Queso. Service was fine, no issues but it was odd to have the black table cloths covered with white butcher paper.

Great atmosphere, hard working, friendly staff and a pretty good brunch!! Tons of choices...prime rib was excellent, as well as most of the side dishes. If you want great waffles/french toast, I'd recommend ordering off the menu though. This place won't make you feel like you have to go back immediately, but it will be enjoyable enough to go back eventually. Worth a try.

Great sunday brunch. I had sunday brunch with my parents here and it was very good. The brunch is a buffet. There was a meat craving station with ham and prime rib. A breakfast pastry station with cinnamon rolls, muffins and warm bread pudding and cobbler. The cold station had two different salads, a pasta salad and shrimp. The hot like offered both breakfast and lunch options; biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes o'brien, corn casserole, waffles, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and fish options. The Dessert table had 5-6 options, cakes, brownies, bars etc.

The fried chicken was the biggest surprise, it was crunchy and seasoned to perfection. The whole buffet was delicious.

Phenomenal Lunch. Came here for lunch on a Wednesday during a break from a business class training session with 4 other people. I ordered the cheeseburger and cream of broccoli soup. Both of them tasted so good, I wanted to go back again for lunch the next day. We sat on the top floor of the restaurant which is located in the historic Union Station, a beautiful place to enjoy a meal and talk business. It's a throwback in time when you're here and the food tastes great. It's also priced decently.

All Aboard for Harvey's. We were in town for a conference, and had lunch twice in a row at Harvey's. The first time was because the atmosphere looked so classy and fun. The second time was because we loved our first lunch so much.
Located in the center of Kansas City's century old Union Station, Harvey's is a two level restaurant in the round. It would be worth visiting for the historic atmosphere alone. However the beauty here is far more than skin deep. The menu is classic American. Lunches are mostly in the $8-10 range, and include salads, wonderful homemade soups, a variety of burgers, sandwiches and more. There is something for just about everybody on the menu.
Service was friendly, and when we mentioned we were in a time cruch the waiter saw to it that we had our food 15 minutes after we sat down.
The Detroit Dog is not to be missed by gourmet hotdog lovers, and the KC Burger also hit the jackpot, being a nice sized burger topped by lettuce, tomato, raw onion, an onion ring and BBQ sauce. It was a lot to take in, and brought smiles to the two of us that ordered it. Others at our table loved their pasta and chicken quesadilla meals.
If you have never spent time inside Union Station, you owe it to yourself to do so. And if breakfast or lunch is on your agenda, Harvey's is a great excuse for making the trek.

Harvey's Review. My fiancée and I ate there for lunch yesterday. He was super excited that they serve breakfast all day, so he got Eggs Bendict, and I had the burger. We both not only loved people watching, while sitting up top of Harvey's, we had great service and the food was awesome!! I would highly recommend Harvey's to anyone. Also, it's a perfect place to host a special event.

What a difference a year makes!. Last year my mother insisted on going to here for her birthday, nostalgia being her reasoning, as she was a Harvey girl. Sadly, our experience was absolutely horrendous.

The service was poor. Unfilled drinks. Lack of menu knowledge. Our server smelt of cigarettes, and worse still he would spend more time in a corner texting than bothering with us.

The food was just as bad. It looked bland and sad on the plates (mine had a big greasy thumb print on the rim) My burger was dry, fries were cold. My mothers salad was limp and some of the spring mix had gone south. Not to mention the pre-packaged dressing was just blah. I could continue, but at this point I'll just move on to my most recent visit. Which was so positive it prompted me to actually create an account.

My colleagues decided to go to Harvey's for lunch. Citing a new menu and their own positive experiences with brunch. Right off the bat I noticed the place was cleaner and the staff actually looked much more professional. Our server, Billy Joe, was bright friendly and actually knew her way around the menu. The new menu looked interesting and fun. We decided to start with deviled eggs. Which were surprisingly delicious. I'd have never thought of a smoked tomato jam in the filling, let alone paprika oil. Definitely get these on your visit.

My colleagues all loved their food, especially the build your own grilled cheese, Harvey's wedge salad with spicy nuts and sriracha ranch, and the cashew crusted tilapia. everything looked and smelt amazing. My own dish was phenomenal.

I had the Union Depot burger. This burger was nothing like my previous go round at Harvey's. It was cooked perfectly, the meat blend they use now is juicy and fantastic. The combination of flavors made for one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. I wound up asking for a side of the roasted garlic mayo to dip my fries in. The fries (apparently hand cut now) by the way, are amazing. Upon asking a few questions of our server we discovered that a new chef had been hired a few months ago and he had overhauled the kitchen, food and wrote a new menu. Well, good call because a year ago I'd have never thought about this place again, now I can't wait to go back and try another of your new burgers.

Cool location!! My gf and I felt food was good but that the brunch option could have been heightened with drink specials. Would come back for dinner to check it out.

Going to make it a tradition. We took a roadtrip with close family and had a HORRIBLE STAY at our hotel (Hotel Phillips in the Power & Light District) and really wanted a special breakfast to make up for it. We didn't want to leave our table at Harvey's! The food was DIVINE! The server was super friendly, they doted on our kids and made the wonderful atmosphere even more fun by their kindness. We have decided to go back for brunch every time we visit KC. PS...you CANNOT GO WRONG with the challah french toast! DIVINE!!!

Good food with a wonderful view. Went to Harvey's today with hubby. Ordered the pizza magarita with side salad. Kudos for the fresh spring mix and real buffalo mozzarella. Noticed they also serve sweet potato fries with their burgers and sandwiches. Will return very soon.

Bustling place, attractive, good food. Had lunch on Sat with the girlfriends. We all enjoyed our meals. Food wise there was attention to details. Service was spot on. And, love the curtains-made it cozy (downstairs) and yet you are basically sitting smack in the middle of Union Station!

Pretty good!. I went to Harvey's for the first time on a Friday at 1:15 for lunch. 25 minute wait.

Seated upstairs, nice atmosphere, friendly waitstaff. The food was pretty good, a little above average pub fare.. but get the onion rings! They are superb with a Ranch dressing! I saw waiters walking around with an amazing looking dessert presentation offering it to tables, but sadly, our waitress just brought us the check without asking if we wanted dessert.

Seemed like a nice place to grab lunch. It's not amazing, it's not the Four Seasons, the food isn't trendy.. it's just like the diner food, but with pretty curtains and a nice view of Union Station.

When I think of great brunch spots in Kansas City,  Harvey's inside Union Station comes in at No. 1. This is my favorite place to take friends and family that are visiting the area. The atmosphere and beauty of Union Station, combined with the impressive brunch spread, make it a great destination for visitors and locals alike. I recommend sitting on the upper level so you can overlook the station. Sunday brunch is $20 per person and the buffet encompasses all your breakfast and lunch favorites. There is truly something for everyone including a chocolate fondue station, complete with fresh fruit, rice krispies and marshmallows for your dipping pleasure; a breakfast table with bacon, french toast, fried chicken, biscuits and gravy etc.; and a dessert bar filled with cinnamon rolls, muffins, cheesecake, cupcakes, danishes and lemon bars. One section is devoted to salads, pasta and seafood, or you can grab a slice of carved ham or prime rib.   I did not attend church this particular Sunday

We had the best time at Harvey's. Our hotel (Westin) was packed for breakfast so we strolled over to Harvey's at Union Station at the recommendation of the hotel staff. We expected something like a typical airport, but it was so much more. When we went (Sunday) they were on a brunch buffet. I am a bit picky on buffets, but this was Heaven on earth. I went back for three plates, a breakfast plate, a lunch plate, and then you had to get dessert. The food quantity AND quality was great. The atmosphere was great. It was a great experience. Planning to visit again when we are in town in December for a concert. Highly recommend. Come hungry. Oh, I should mention, it isn't inexpensive. It's not a Golden Corral buffet. :) Enjoy! Let me know what you like most!

We were very surprised with our visit here. We expected it to be like any regular airport like restaurant but it was much better. The service and food were great. It’s a very nice setting in the station. It’s really a great place to visit and enjoy a nice meal. Try the pick 2 for any two of a half sandwich, soup, or salad.

I absolutely love their brunch. I brought my mom and her friends down to have an early friend's giving get-together, and everyone loved it. I find this to be one of my top choices now for Sunday brunch with all the quality food and drinks. While sitting at our table, we got to enjoy all the festive Christmas trees, which was an added bonus!!! Staff is all super helpful and happy.

Ate there for brunch with the kids for our 25th anniversary. Got seated quickly, but had to move due to the table next to us using extremely foul language. They moved us promptly and we were able to enjoyed the buffet in peace. The service was great and it seemed like everyone one of the staff apologized because of the situation. We will be back. It wasn’t cheap so if you are on a budget be mindful of that. We can’t go back often, but liked the experience so we will try.

I came to KC to go museum hopping for my birthday. We stopped at the Union Station to see the Mayan Exhibit and decided to stop at Harvey’s for a bite to eat. We were greeted immediately and the host was super nice. The restaurant is very clean and had good vibes. Our server Helena was super wonderful. We never had a glass empty on the table and she was very attentive to our needs. The Manager came to make sure we were enjoying our meals and we were. He was friendly and I felt he genuinely cared about our experience. He was also an alumni of Washburn University. On top of all of this the food was good, my chicken was tender on the inside and crispy on the out, and the waffles met all expectations. Thank you for providing a great birthday lunch. I’ll have to come back again.

I've wanted to eat here for a long time but just never had the opportunity. The food was great, the atmosphere was unique and cool. They were very busy; however, so it was shower than we would have liked. The omelette was delicious. The sausage gravy had a mushroom, pepper thing going on which was unique and delicious.

Some weeks ago my brunch group “CC BRUNCH BUNCH” decided to try Harvey’s! Let’s just say we weren’t disappointed at all! Upon arrival, our group was accommodated with a great area for the size of our group. We were seated and our server was very prompt with greeting us and taking drink orders. I’ll take my hat off to Chef Sean!!!! He was very happy with how much we loved all the food and came over to speak with us to see what our thoughts were on everything! The buffet was a combination of breakfast , dinner and desserts! The staff made sure we knew when things would be replaced on the bar and about how long! They kept everyone pleased and even though it was busy, I never saw one person feel fluttered or irritated! Price was a bit high for brunch and union stations parking , however it was well worth it in our opinion as a group.

I've eaten here 3 times. Each time I enjoyed good food, fantastic service, and expeditious seating. The atmosphere is very tasteful and relaxed. The setting was casual but classy. Yesterday I was taking to the upper level. I had a wide open view of most of the shops and entryways. The tables were small but there was ample space between them. The 🥓 was perfectly crisped. The ham was thick and juicy. My 🥔 were browned, crisp, but soft internally. Scrambled 🥚 were light, fluffy, and delectable! The restaurant was moderately busy.

Absolutely an incredible experience from beginning to end at Harvey’s. Mr. Moncrief, the Director of Restaurant Operations made sure every need was met for my daughters and my new son-in-laws marriage brunch celebration! The food was delicious and outstanding! What can I say about the weight staff…incredible. Our guests were truly complimentary on absolutely everything! We will definitely be back…

Greaaaaat🤤 Nice spot for an late lunch early dinner. Plenty of options of great tasting local favorites. The bread is spectacular. I tried the grilled chicken avocado with bacon. Mmm very good. Almost forgot to get pictures. Don't forget to try and sneak upstairs for seating to look down on the peasants walking by 🕵️

An excellent place for breakfast at KC Union Station. We went there for brunch on a Sunday. The selection was superb. I had French toast, sausage, garlic chicken, roast beef, and dessert. Salmon, eggs, and lemon cake were some of MJ's choices. Other selections were available as well. Did I mention this was a buffet? We were both happy that we went. Another hit for Kansas City, Missouri.
