I was greeted by oh so FRIENDLY staff and seated without much wait time. My server was such a joy and was the utmost tentative to everyone dining at lunch today. I had the chicken salad which was fantastic. A PERFECT balance of textures and fresh flavors. I also had the key lime pie which was THE BEST lime dessert I've ever tasted. So creamy, not too sweet, and with the perfect dollop of whipped cream on top.

Café Sebastienne was a great choice for Father’s day brunch. Not pictures we started with lamb sausages which were basic, but delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy with breakfast potatoes and the gravy was excellent. Creamy and full of flavor, and the biscuits and potatoes were great too. My girlfriend and her father had the Eggs Benedict and the the yolks were perfect with the English muffins. Her father’s husband had the pork hash and loved it as well. Pictured is the lime cake which had cotton candy on top. The cake was moist and full of flavor. Service was also excellent, and I will be keeping Cafe Sebastienne in mind for the future.

Don’t know why it took me this long to try this place out, since I’m obsessed with anything brunch related. I just loved the setting of this place, just the fact that it’s in Kemper Museum surrounded by eclectic art makes it worth the visit. We tried their biscuits and gravy, squash and goat cheese omelette and French toast with raspberry purée and ice cream. Such a good meal experience, I couldn’t get enough of the crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside smashed potatoes. The French toast was incredible and we didn’t even need the syrup because the ice cream and berry purée were all it needed. The omelette wasn’t anything special and next time I will probably try their cornbread and something more adventurous. Also wish they had more dessert options than ice cream. Definitely recommend this spot to all the KC foodies.

The food here was delicious. I ordered the Kobe Beef Hash and the Crab Cakes/Eggs Benedict. They were both divine. The cafe is located inside the museum with art lining the walls. It's a wonderful place for brunch and drinks.

A great place to get lunch. I had the fried rice with duck added to it for my entree. For dessert I had the bruleed barley pudding, followed by a cup of coffee. Everything was good. They seemed to really blast the A/C in the courtyard area the day we went there, so consider bringing a light jacket if you're someone that feels cold easily.

This was such a great place for brunch. The art and the courtyard come together to make this a very unique experience. I would suggest bringing friends! It’s not that busy and quite honestly is now one of my favorite brunch places. I will be back soon - this time with a lot of friends!

I absolutely love Cafe Sebastienne... the staff was friendly the atmosphere was upbeat and very enjoyable... the food and service was delicious.. what made the place unique was all the artwork on the walls I absolutely would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's located in the Kemper Art Museum next to the Art Institute... the artwork is a phenomenal in the Kemper Art Museum I would suggest checking out the art and then going to lunch there... incorporating art and food what could be more awesome than that.

Eating at this cafe was an amazing experience. The art on the walls really made it a unique experience to have brunch and relax among such a fun museum. The food was rich and full of flavor. If you’re tired of your regular brunch spot and want to shake things up you should most definitely check out Cafe Sebastienne.

Amazing! I am obsessed now. Beautiful atmosphere. Seated in the atrium. My waitress (Lauren) was an angel, so intuitive, thoughtful, great recommendations, genuinely customer focused, with perfect timing! She made the food that much better. Ordered the fish special and wow the chef blew me away. Perfectly balanced flavors well thought out ingredients. Recommendation for the dessert (similar to chocolate flourless cake) was a perfect way to end the lunch. Plating & presentation was a work of art. My compliments to chef, she is a real treasure.
