Great dive bar atmosphere. Outstanding wings, do take a long time but well worth it with the homemade blue cheese dressing! We always sit at the bar and always have great service. A lot of the problems I've seen or had were with pretentious types who think they are special and are the rude ones. They somehow find this place and realize they are not at Woodside or The Well or Capital Grill and become anxious in their own weird way. Just push them out of the way when you need to get to the rest room!

Consistently delicious food (my favorite chili cheese fries ever) and a staff that stays friendly even as things get crazy busy.

It's a Kansas City classic. No matter if you're visiting or from here, you must go. Wings and the BLT are "must haves".

Amazing food, and always a great place for a night with friends. or low key bar lunch meal. (My faves are the wings and the tripple BLT!!!) Who needs chicken soup, the wings will clear any cold you have, so their is a another plus.... order them to-go, then you can also inhale the extra potent sauce vapors. This one is definitely a corner/neighborhood pub.

I would like to thank the staff of the peanut that was working this past Sunday! My self and 2 fellow co workers came in for lunch and were greeted with amazing service. The food hit the spot! When we went to check out we found out our ticket was taken care of! We appreciate it very much! It feels great to know that we are appreciated! #USnavy #thankyou

We go to the P-Nut every St. Patricks Day. We appreciate going to the oldest bar in KC. We like the people, the food and the beer from Ireland.....

Arrived at 5:30 on a Tuesday and it was perfect time to get a table. But the WINGS woah seriously so delicious I order a sandwich because I'm thinking "12 wings for three people isn't enough" but wow was I wrong. Order them with the blue cheese sauce and you can't go wrong! Also I loved the ambiance and music they were playing in here! I could've stayed here all day it's a very warm and lively atmosphere

Yet another Kansas City icon feeding hungry citizens since 1933. Operating as a speak easy during prohibition the Peanut serves the best BLT I've had anywhere, hands down. Serving great bar food in a no nonsense honky tonk . I've been coming here for the burgers and BLT's since the 1980's and nothing has changed, not one bit. Consistently great be sure. Treat yourself to the best BLT to be found anywhere! Enjoy!

I went for the BLT with extra bacon and it did not disappoint. The bacon is cooked perfect and crispy plus it had cheese which was nice. The bar was crowded and it looked like everyone there was eating wings or the BLT. Service was good even though they were very busy. A little slow at times but that's because the place was almost standing room only. I wish they had online ordering, I have been trying to buy a BLT for a week but you really just have to go there in person.

Wings, Ruben's and BLT's highlight the wonderful food of this small dive bar. The food all arrived hot and fresh and delivered exactly as ordered. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere made for a relaxed meal. This is definitely a great place to eat. Just remember it ain't fast food, it's good food worth the wait!

The Peanut: Where Buffalo Wings Take Flight and BLTs Steal the Spotlight! Nestled in the heart of your culinary dreams, The Peanut is like that friendly neighbor who throws the best backyard BBQs. You'll feel right at home here, and not just because of the cozy atmosphere and friendly faces. But let's talk about those Buffalo wings – they're not just colossal; they're "colossal enough to make a pterodactyl jealous!" These wings are so full of flavor that even chickens would be envious of their buffalo passport. And if you thought the wings were stars of the show, wait until you meet the BLT. It's not just a sandwich; it's a "Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato masterpiece" that'll make you question your allegiance to all other sandwiches. So, in a nutshell (pun intended), The Peanut is your go-to spot for scrumptious food that makes you feel like you've just found your culinary soulmate. It's the kind of place where friendships are forged over wing sauce battles and where the BLT reigns supreme. Bon appétit! 🍗🥓🍅

A dive and the original. Always worth the trip for the classic 3 wings and fries. It's a small place with a small staff but a large crowd, so patience is required. One person works the whole bar while one person works the kitchen.

Came here for Linner and got the beef nachos. They were excellent. I wish the salsa had a little bit more of a flavor but the beef flavor made up for it. This place is known for its Wings, but if you want to try something different, the nachos are where it’s at.

There are a few different Peanut locations in the KC metro area and you would 100% be missing out if you didn't try The Peanut wings! Suggestion: add cheese on top of their drinks cut fries...delicious! We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip before we got our meals.

Fast service. Good beer. The wings are fantastic! Sorry, I forgot to take pictures! They also seem to be among the few places with Boulevard Pale Ale on tap.

Best hot wings in the city. Just know that they're whole wings. So 6 wings here are a dozen most anywhere else.

Best classic buffalo chicken wings I've had. They are huge and drenched in sauce. If you like that style make sure to check this place out.

The best chicken wings. Some might say, "Then you haven't been to such and such bar in blah blah blah." You are wrong, The Peanut Wins. The BLT is also ridiculously tasty

Oh Man! THE WINGS > THE WINGS > THE WINGS Nice intimate environment, it gives you a nice Texas meets Missouri vibe. The food is delicious. The drinks are perfectly blended. Try your hand at the Sour Whiskey And did I mention > The wings were crispy, had the perfect amount of seasoning and spice. VISIT THIS PLACE

Best wings and BLTs, and their nachos were good too. Prepare to get messy if you have their wings, and half a dozen at The Peanut is the same as a dozen anywhere else. See pic of last wing standing...

Food was good. Tad bit on the expensive side. But all in all not bad in any way. Burger I had was juicy but not ridiculous. I like that they have Guinness Beer on tap. But really a nice bar all together.

By far the my favorite place in Kansas City to eat. Their beers are cheap, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and get the wings and The BLT. I promise you will not be disappointed
