This was my first time and I liked it. I got a Beef and Cheese taco, a regular pocket burger and some onions rings. The fried taco was tasty, not huge but big enough. The pocket burger, while it tasted good, I am not sure the consistency is enough for me. It is filled with taco meat and I guess it just may be a bridge too far for me to order again. HOWEVER, the onion rings made the whole meal. They have a light breading and are cooked to a good crispy edge. They may have tasted a little better at a lower temperature or maybe a minute shorter, but they still tasted fine.
Dropped in for a nostalgic dinner tonight.
It was delicious, hot and fresh! The staff was smiling, polite and friendly!!
So In a Tub is my childhood hangout place..
North kansas city grads will tell you this is the place...
My only complaint is bring back them veggie sticks, oh my those were my fav..
The burrito with everything or the deep fried tacos with powdered cheese epic...
I would give 5 stars but they no longer have Apple Sticks. They were so delicious and a part of my families In A Tub experience for years. So please bring back the Apple Stocks. That's part of what made In A Tub home. Ither than that I like the remodel, more space, different seating options and still the best Tacos in KC. We will continue to come back as In Tub has been a part of my family since it opened.
I love this place.
3 meat and cheese, mild and a plain burrito !!! Definitely recommend it
I love this place. It's been a favorite family spot since I was a child. Now it's a date spot for my wife and I. I love the tacos. Just don't breathe in as you bite or the powder cheese will get you. Hold your breath, bite, chew, and then breathe. Haha, great place to go!!!
I've heard about this place for years, not exactly sure it lived up to the hype. It's good and unique, definitely worth trying and making your own decision.
I haven't gotten to eat here very often, but when I get a chance to get over that way... I always have to stop and eat here. Their tacos are unlike any other fast food place around. They're so yummy. We always have pleasant counter staff when we go in there, and they never mess up our order!! (Which is uncommon these days)
The place itself is dated and could maybe use a face-lift, but... it's clean.
Love the fried tacos... crave them now and then.
I've loved In-a-tub tacos, my whole life! I even remember going to the original restaurant location, which was only a kitchen with an order window. There was no "inside" in which to eat. You just walked up to the window, then ate your tacos and stuff in your car, or when you got home. That was way, way back in the 1970's. :-) They are just as 😋 yummy and still have retained the flavors from my yesterday's. I'm a Life Long Lover of In-a-tub tacos!! I'm even still eating their tacos and fried mushrooms, even though I've had all my teeth removed, and haven't received any dentures yet. I just have to put it in a blender first; and even that, doesn't take away the flavor nor experience.
The newly remodeled spot is awesome!!! The ambiance is great! Loved sitting at the high top window, parallel to the road! Always a KC classic!
I was craving In-A-Tub! Ordered 6 tacos: beef and bean to be exact!
Came home and inhaled the tacos! I loved that there were all females working that day/shift! They seemed very happy and working well together! The cashier lady was nice!
Definitely coming back to this location again!
I'm obsessed with the sauce they serve with the tacos !! 🤤🤤🤤🤤
A Northland tradition. I love the beef and cheese tacos and the nacho pocket burgers. This place has a cult following and has been around a long time. I make the drive to eat here once a week and never regret it.
What kind of name is In a Tub? Lol
Researched it, as the building itself looks like a food establishment, and it is infact a restaurant. And a highly rated one at that.
Ordered a couple of the xtra hot, meat and cheese, deep fried tacos, and a cheese pocket burger. Also am ordee od their fried zucchini.
While waiting for our food, we got to meet the owner, and he explained he had been there for 35 years! Enjoyed the convo. Good people.
Our food came out, and the tacos were covered in powder cheese, and you couldn't see any meat protruding from the hamburger bun. Worried, we dug in... man, these tacos are absolutely amazing!!! Special! And the powdered cheese tasted like a really sharp cheddar cheese instead of a powdery texture. The xtra hot was still not hot at all.
The pocket burger turned out to be something similar to a sloppy Joe without the tomato flavor. Just ground meat with cheese, and i believe it was relish and mustard. The bun was soft like a pillow, and the whole burger was amazing. I'm not a mustard on a burger guy, but this worked soooo well.
The fried zucchini were excellent as well. They come with some ranch dipping sauce that has to be made in-house, or its not hidden valley for sure!
I want to order ten tacos next time and just go to flavor town. Sooo good!
A little pricey with costs going up, but wow it's delicious. I can see why locals really stand by the place!
Might not be able to see, but it's real beans & solid ground beef too.
Absolutely delicious. My mom has been coming here for over 20 years, it's now our special spot when we meet up. So happy covid hasn't interrupted too much of the menu (out of cauliflower for a while and maybe a new mushroom batter but everything is still yummy!) Thank you for your service :)

If you know, you know. It's a certain taste we enjoy when over in this part of town. Bean, beef, cheese tacos and fried zucchini. Hit the spot.
The food here is great. The powdered cheese on the deep fried tacos works perfectly. The mushrooms are delicious and I'd sell my son for that raspberry shake.
