Ate here last night with a group of 10, after having to leave our reservation at another restaurant. They accommodated us so quickly by getting tables together. Every server and busboy that waited on us was extremely nice and caring. Our waiter cracked jokes and offered substitutions. The food was great and nice ambiance in the dining room. Thank you for the great evening!
The food was amazing. And Dennis was an excellent waiter. We'll be back!
The food was outstanding! I grew up in Maine, so I'm always leery of trying seafood here in KC, but the Maine Scallops I had on Valentine's Day at Providence were melt in your mouth amazing! (The rest of the meal was fabulous too, but I can't get those scallops off my mind.) Great service and atmosphere; my husband and I loved it!
My favorite restaurant in power and light. Quiet atmosphere with great food!

Excellent from the food to the knowledgeable kind servers and staff, plus the S'more Flavors dessert was amazing!
Absolutely incredible on every point: quality and consistency of food, presentation, service, and atmosphere! I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!
HEY Kansas City! Let me tell you about a hidden gem in downtown Kansas City...You can find the Providence New American Kitchen inside of the Hilton President Hotel in downtown Kansas City. This kitchen is re-opening & has some SPECTACULAR items on their menu including: prosciutto pancetta, chicken wings, loaded nachos, perfectly cooked salmon, mouthwatering shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, & more. You can't complete your meal without one of their desserts! We enjoyed the ice cream flight that included 3 tastes from Betty Rae's. Did I mention the adorable & fancy adult beverages? When you are done with your meal, check out the Drum Room or even stay in one of the rooms. Providence New American Kitchen is a great spot to go on a date, for a business meeting, or even to grab & go. Do NOT miss out on this spot if you are staying in the hotel. Add this spot to your Kansas City bucket list today!
The service was great, the place was super clean, and the vibe was fantastic!
We ordered the Brick Chicken, Clam Chowder and Side Salad. All three were excellent! The chicken had a fabulous sauce and crispy skin. Portions were good size.
We had the butternut squash gnocchi and the brick chicken. Both were good, but I would probably try something different next time because other entrees looked good too.
Had a delicious meal with friends during restaurant week. We collectively had wine, martinis, flank steak, salmon, chocolate cake, and pavlova. We loved all of our food and had a great time.
The valet was standing in the cold instead of sitting inside and he returned my car very quickly. The parking is free, however, if you in up in a lot which charges you went too far. The building is a very well preserved 1920's Hilton hotel. The restaurant is old school elegance with incredible detail. This was the quietist place I have ever been which made it easy to talk. The distinguished waiter was always there when we needed him. He had a great personality which made my wife and I laugh. The Ribeye steak literally fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. It was the best steak I have ever enjoyed. My wife had the Salmon which she has all the time; she stated that it was incredible. My son had the fish and chips which were golden brown crust with no left over old oil on it, the white fish was unbelievable, I ate some and I will come back and order it. I recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to enjoy the greatest food they ever will eat.
Food and service were excellent. Had a reservation for restaurant week, however no one was there when arrived to check us in. Also happy hour specials are not included as part of the restaurant-they are only for the drum room. But the food was AMAZING!
Kind of a fancy joint, the kind of place where you can get duck confit ravioli (which is what I got). The portion sizes can vary from ridiculous (my friend's fried catfish possibly came with the entire catfish) to still have room for dessert (I got a nice handful of ravioli), so maybe you wanna ask about that before you order.
GREAT!!!
In Kc for a few days and had dinner last night at the resturant. First of all if you want a first class steak and out of this world glazed pork belly(YES I SAID PORK BELLY) then stop in. Our server Tony was awesome and knew everything about the menu and as well as bit of history on the hotel itself. BOTTOM LINE head in, grab a table, get Tony as your server and sit back and relax.
Every thing we had was amazing! Our waiter was attentive and personable (really funny) and I was never without tea (that's an important thing in my world). I'd recommend it any day!
Great food, but they were not aware that there were 3 conventions in town and they only had 1 server for the entire restaurant (who was fantastic). They are 2 blocks from the convention center. Not sure where the break in communication happened. Beautiful restaurant.
