The food here is great! The brunch is the best brunch I’ve ever had! Love the staff and music as well!
Ate here for the first time Friday night. We had friends in from Little Rock AR. We all loved the food. Brunt ends were great. And their new chicken dish was too. All very happy. The waiter(sorry forgot his name) was very nice and fun. And their version of Apple pie is awesome. We will go back.... And our friends said it is a reason to come back to KC area more often.

Our group used KC Restaurant Week as an excuse to try a new place. LOVED it!! The menu was agreeable to the large party's different dietary needs and tastes. Everything from the steak, to chicken fried chicken, to rigatoni, to steak tacos was amazing. Even a normal house salad seemed higher grade than most places. The portions were almost more than one could handle. The waitress was delightful and her menu guidance was spot on. I can't wait to take out-of-towners there.
For the money and great food/service, the best place in town! Ask for either Jenny Jones or Tessa...the best servers!!!
I was there last night with a girlfriend. We had a fabu time and the waitress was on point. Did the thang right. I have several cocktails. The banana martini was recommended and it was wonderful. I ordered mussels the best I've literally ever had in Kansas City. Its close to home and I will be going back.
Went out for date night and decided on Michael Forbes. Amazing!!! From service to good, everything was on point! Our server Jake was so personable and fun, a true asset to the company! We will be back and tell all our friends!
Great Saturday evening. Joshua was a great friendly server. Excellent prime rib. Timely service! We will return, we had been in a long time. Glad it was back to top notch.

They have the best food and Happy hour. My favorites are the shrimp, chicken nachos, wings and drinks.
Had our reserved table ready to go and the staff was very attentive! It's not easy to please a group of 11 but they went above and beyond! Great food, great service and a great time.
Came for lunch by myself after hearing the food was good, I’m from out of town. The orzo was absolutely incredible and the Salmon was cooked perfectly. I didn’t need to add any additional salt or pepper. My waitress was incredibly kind and attentive! Highly recommend this place.
This was my first visit and we sampled the happy hour specials. Nice variety of food cooked well! Chicken tenders cut with a fork, and great chicken black bean quesadillas. And all at a budget friendly price. Our server was attentive and efficient. It's Brookside so plan on parking challenges.
Fantastic local dive. Really nice restaurant with great prices and incredibly friendly staff. I had the Tuesday steak special which was really cheap. If I remember correctly it was 12ish dollars for a good portion of steak. It appeared to be a Delmonico or hanger steak. It was very appropriate and tender for the price.

Great happy hour. Went before our show at Starlight Theater and it was a great location for that. Wednesday was "Burger Night" and I had sliders, which came with choice of 1 side. I opted for sweet potato fries, and everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The homemade salsa had a smoky goodness. Will return!
Was visiting the area and friends brought me to this establishment. Sat in the bar area and had a wonderful meal and great conversation with the bartender/server. Will definitely visit again next time I'm visiting. Food was perfect.
We love this place. The food is great, and so is the service. Prices are good. The steak and gorgenzolla Rigatoni pasta is amazing!! Wedge salad good. Support local restaurants!
Hadn't been there in awhile. It was good! Nancy our waitress was wonderful! Had the green olive Bolognas was tasty, but sauce was a little watery. Husband had the Sicilian steak and enjoyed it. Shrimp appetizer and Greek salad were also very good!
Great comfortable atmosphere and good service made our Saturday afternoon visit a treat. The wine and beer list was interesting and extensive. The menu is varied and certainly not run of the mill. We enjoyed the chorizo corn chowder, Hollywood sandwich, and the tacos. We will definitely be making a return visit to this charming spot.
I was looking forward to a decent steak on a Saturday night, and I got a really good steak dinner to my surprise.
I ordered a kc strip to be delivered. I wanted it medium, so I ordered it med rare cause I live about 15 to 20 minutes away and I knew it would not travel great. They nailed a perfect medium rare steak, with great seasoning delivered. It was delicious! I was going to throw away the Brussels sprouts cause they aren’t my thing, but that aoli sauce was amazing and I cleaned my plate. Very happy customer
We loved everything about Michael Forbes. This was our first time visiting this establishment, and it was not a disappointment. We had reservations for 6 pm and were seated promptly. Our server, Kye, approached our table immediately and took our drink order and explained today's special. It seemed that he was the only server on the floor but didn't skip a beat. Our food was excellent, the service was great and we loved the atmosphere. Thank you, Kye, for making our first visit a memorable one. We are definitely adding Michael Forbes as one of our favorite spots.
Amazing soup and salad day for my wife and I to stop in and have lunch here. The Greek salad dressing is the top dressing in town for a salad. Service was amazing the server stopped and talked with us and brought us over chips. Great experience.
We just visited for restaurant week and were not disappointed! The food was delish, quick service, the waitress was so attentive, and everything was as ordered (even better)! Highly recommend, we will go back. Prices also were affordable, not the cheapest but nothing that would blow the bank, meaning we will be back!
So I walk into my usual Thursday food spot & instead of going straight to the back to my table I go to the restroom up front first. When I finished & walked to my table and.. Jake already had my first drink set! I’m said “wow, really?” Now grant you that I come on Thursdays so my regular bartender Mallory wasn’t here but between these two I never place an order because they remember my order. Talk about PERFECT customer service!
Delicious!!! Had the Steak Gorgonzola Rigatoni and my husband the Mexico Burger. Both amazing! Great service, came around lunch on a Saturday so it was nice and quiet. ❤️
