We took the tour for a friends birthday, then hung out and enjoyed the food and beer for a few hours
The tour was absolutely amazing. For a price of $10, most of the people were a bit tipsy and educated on the brewing process. Definitely worth it, and I’m thinking about making this a recurring tour visit.
The beers are all great and very purposeful. Whether you’re a novice or a beginner, the education is amazing.
Outside of the tour, the staff is on top of it and willing to do whatever it takes for you to have a great experience.
I strongly recommend a visit.

This place has a sleek, industrial look to it--not something I'd expect from a German-themed joint. We dropped in for a couple of beers, some wurst (they're okay), and to watch some football on their televisions. Unfortunately, they had turned off the television audio and were playing bland/typical pop music. The entire experience felt very sterile, characterless. I'm a fan of KC Bier's brews, but I wasn't so wowed by this drinking establishment. I have no complaints about the service, and the place seemed extremely clean--hence the four stars.

Great German style restaurant/brewery! Very family/kid friendly with lots of outdoor seating and play space. Incredible beers options with traditional German foods. They even have vegan options! The vegan brat is great, and there is a lot more!

The tour was fantastic. Jay was enthusiastic and very informative and didn't hesitate answering all our questions. Delicious varieties were served throughout the tour.

Great selection of beers! The menu has a ton of vegetarian and vegan options, which is always great! The pretzel and beer cheese soup was great, can’t wait to come back and try more of the food! They have an indoor and large outdoor section, and tons of events and live music, great polka band there today!

A legit German biergarten in South KC. Crushed limestone and trees. 10 stars out of 5. Bought 3 12 packs to go, should have cleared them out. Just so good, so great.

K.C. Bier Co. is a great place with great vibes, oh, and beer, of course! I thoroughly enjoyed everything I tried here. The service was great also. Make this a stop on your next Kansas City trip.

I loved my short visit to the Kansas City Bier Company. Tried the Eiz Weiss and loved it. Spicy and complex – a full bodied darker wheat beer. The atmosphere was friendly and upbeat. The space - with high ceilings - is quite airy with a European beer hall. Feel to it. Something like modern German. The bar is well designed. Long table seating is reminiscent of those German beer halls. I’ve enjoyed every beer I’ve had from the Kansas City Bier Company, and I’m looking forward to more innovation from them in the future.

Edit-
I appreciate the time taken to respond to my review. I went back in and had a much better experience. Thank you.
I was in from out of town and looking for a dog friendly brewery to bring my dog. I double checked online to make sure that this was a dog friendly place. Upon arrival, dog owners are greeted with a big red sign with all of the rules for having a dog on the "patio." I would personally not consider this place dog friendly, nor would I consider it people friendly. My friend and I both felt that we were an inconvenience while trying to order. I would like to add that we were there at open, so it was not busy. I travel a lot and am always looking for dog friendly breweries, and I can't say I would come back. Giving two stars because the beer was good.

Visited Saturday night. Not very busy and grabbed a seat at the bar. Tried 4 beers - Pure Pils, Dunkel, Weizenbock Dunkel, and Never Say IPA. All were clean and good. Also ordered a two sausage plate. The dunkelwurst seemed dry, but taste was very good and reminiscent of a spicy Italian sausage. Cheddar-Jalapeno wurst was good. I ordered on recommendation by waitress/bartender despite not really caring for cheese in sausage. Jalapeno taste was secondary and no heat was detected. Potato salad seemed like a cold German style and very good. I never tasted anything like it. Kraut was good: nice acidity balanced by sweetness. I really wish they served more kraut at the side. I tried sausage with their spicy mustard and honey mustard. Both seemed standard, but sausages could easily be eaten without the mustard because they were very flavorful. My only disappointment is that I couldn't try one of their pretzels. They looked good! I would return for both the beer and food.

This is the perfect spot. Our experience here was one of our best brewery experiences yet! We loved the environment (super family friendly), the people, the food and the beer. Such a fun place!

KC Bier Co is the absolute best place to have a party, event, or just hang out with friends and family. The owners and staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. They are so accommodating and kind and of course the beer is amazing!!! 5 stars every time!

I love this place. I wish they had a little more food on the menu, but they always have beers on tap that is not available in stores. Staff has always been great. I will keep coming back to this place and bringing friends with me to share the experience.

Hidden gem in KC. Great place to have German style beer, food, music... in a German like setting.

What a fun place! The food was awesome, the servers were knowledgeable, the atmosphere is great! My boys loved the giant German pretzel and all of the dipping sauces. You definitely can’t go wrong ordering the Dunkle. I love the authenticity and the true German brewing style. Also, it was great that it is family friendly, my 14&6 year old boys felt very welcomed. Well done!

Love this place. Come here whenever I visit from out of State. Haven’t been able to find any place near us with the same atmosphere, beer and food.

I was in the Biergarten the majority of the time with 3 of my sons. Twins, who are 4 and another age 6. It was a kid friendly place with building blocks and play dump trucks for them to play with while I was able to catch up with a friend, who I haven’t seen in the neighborhood of 10 years, and his wife. The boys were able to make friends with other kids and had a good time, which I did as well. I only had one hefeweisen, which was smooth and easy to drink. All in all, it was a good place to go to be able to keep an eye on the boys, catch up with a friend and enjoy a nice brew.

Great beer.
Great beer garden.
Pretzels are huge.
However, don't go there if you're hungry.
But love their beer selection.

Great place to visit and have a local brew, they have a small food menu as well which is cooked very well.

The Bier garden is so amazing! I really liked that it was family and dog friendly. Our boys and neices loved playing while we hung out with family and drank amazing beer and ate amazing food!!

Very cool place, and everything I tried was great. I guess my only qualms with the place is there's not much parking, and the staff was having a passive-agressive argument in front of all their guests. But other than that, I enjoyed it...
Jared M. Bender
I’ve enjoyed multiple biers from them. Ate a variety of their food. And will for sure being going back at some point.

Not gonna lie, kinda loved it. I mean great beer, great food, great crowd, and doggies everywhere! What's not to love??
Definitely will be back 🙌

Great food and drink. We also did the tour and it was excellent. I’d recommend the giant pretzel and the bratwurst.

I love all of their beer (Bier), but my favs are Helles and Pils. Enjoying a beer outside in their Biergarten makes me happy. Prost!
Spencer Montgomery
