We catered Mixing Bowl on the Go for our end of year staff party this week. Everyone LOVED the food! Stephanie was a great communicator and answered all my questions and specifications for our event. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for a successful brunch buffet! She brought extra food, provided super cute plates and cutlery arrangements, and made sure everything was warm and ready for serving. She did an amazing job working with our budget and ensuring that there was plenty of food for our event. The day of the event, she and her team arrived early to make sure there was enough time to set up. She thought of everything and took great care of us! I loved working with Stephanie and will absolutely keep Mixing Bowl on the Go in mind for future events.

This place was made for a true breakfast experience in Kansas City and in general for breakfast. The woman that greeted me was hospitable and even gave me directions to a train attraction site in the area. She even made the icing for the cinnamon roll I ordered right in front me, from scratch. You can tell it was fresh by taste, smell, and seeing. The Mixing Bowl Hasher was just the right meal to fill me up. Getting there early is not needed on some days, but can peaceful to those that need it. Coffee has free refills, thought that was unique to this place as well. If you are visiting, The Mixing Bowl is a must for your breakfast decisions.

A restaurant I will need to go back and visit again and again and again! Sierra was our server and was awesome. She was very patient with us and needing time to check out the menu. She kept our coffee full and was attentive to our table. Our food came out in a timely manner. Everything looked and tasted so good! I should've taken more pictures. There are quite a few more menu items I want to try out. The restaurant was clean. The women's restroom has multiple stalls and was also clean and stocked with toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Great atmosphere.

Came to this place to try because it is close to my house. The service was great. The food was very good and very fulfilling. I would definitely come here again. It's an old designed restaurant but it feels like home. The hash brown is deliciously crispy.

The mixing bowl is one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in Kansas City. From the great warm smiles and happy faces from the receptive staff to the smell of some KNE OF A KIND Cinnamon roll GREATNESS. You will find this establishment to be a quaint small town feel with big city food flavor. I promise you, that if you come once. You'll know what I'm saying is 100% true. Everything here was cooked with love. Oh!? Did I mention the Cinnamon rolls!?! OMG 😂 words cannot express how amazing they are and if your fortunate to get one out of the oven...don't say I didn't warn your happy tastebuds! 🥰 Stop in and checkout Kansas Citys hidden gem! Thank you Ms. Stephanie and staff for a great breakfast! Be back soon!

It was busy when we got there, but the staff was still friendly and attentive the entire time. Ordered the Crossroads Country Breakfast with coffee. Fried to perfection and topped with a tasty sausage gravy, eggs, hash browns, and I subbed the flapjacks for toast. Great start to my day. We'll be back.

I love the vibe of this place. It very much feels like a country diner, but it's only 2 minutes from my house. The food is good, and the menu has a wide variety of selections. I really liked the French Dip sandwich, which had a really good au jus. Shauna, my waitress, was really sweet and attentive. 5 stars all around.

Amazing Crispy Hash browns. Biscuits were Fluffy and Tasty. Sausage Gravy was Disappointing (It’s basic Gravy with Sausage added after). Good Prices. Friendly Staff. Free Street Parking. Cozy Atmosphere. Saturday is all you can eat pancakes. Sunday is all you can eat biscuits and gravy. Overall a good place for a large meal, but not a high class breakfast full of flavor.

Best. Corned. Beef. Hash ... EVER. That's saying something for me - being that it's my breakfast standard to compare and I've been all over NYC, LA, Seattle, Detroit, and Chicago. Beef was fork tender and juicy (probably from the brine), topped with eggs and this amazing sauce - similar to hollandaise but lighter with a hint of clove. Any more and it would have been too much - but the balance was perfect. The presentation was unassuming but I prefer that - I'd take substance and that melt-in-your-mouth-feeling any day over fluff. The ambiance was laid back, down to earth, w plenty of sass and character. No wait but we did visit during a snowstorm. The wait staff was kind and the place definitely had a chill vibe w regulars laughing w/ staff while the KC Chiefs played on the TV screens. I decided to try it because someone on Yelp said "flapjacks tasted like wedding cake and the waffles tasted like funnel cake." I didn't get the chance to try the waffles, but I second on the flapjacks. Will definitely be back when we visit KC again.

Just had brunch at the mixing bowl and the food and service was phenomenal. I advise everyone to try the Crossroad Country Breakfast. It’s amazing. Our server Shauna was the absolute best. Great service, friendly, and absolutely HILARIOUS. 10/10 would recommend,

It's one of those hole in the wall restaurants that serve good food. The building is old and pretty run down. The service was very good. I had them make a new pot of coffee because it wasn't hot like I like it. They only took cash so I had to run to the nearest ATM down the street. The food was good. Everyone was pretty happy with what they got. My wife loved her omelet and my grandson loved his breakfast burrito.

Scrambled eggs full of hash browns and loaded with all the best ingredients ever! Everything is homemade!! I am I love with The Mixing Bowl!! If you haven’t checked this honey pot out you better! Located at 29th and SW Blvd and open Tuesday through Sunday until 2 pm!! The atmosphere is hip and funky and the owner Stephanie is the BOMB!! I will be back, DAILY!!

Was a little skeptical of the area as an out-of-towner, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is great, food is delicious, well-priced, and the staff is friendly. This was our second choice of breakfast stops as the first filled up with the church crowd quick. But definitely worth the trip and we were seated right away, which was excellent. Definitely would recommend to others. Bonus:. There's a car vending machine behind the building that's pretty cool.

this is a must visit. whether you a local or from out of town. Visiting from New York City. came across this place while looking for a place to eat. We ate here in back to back days, instead of venturing out to try another restaurant for breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly. The decor fit into the overall ambience. The menu had a great selection. I would choose this place just from the picture of the meal alone.
