KC Sushi has the best sushi in all of Kansas City. Every time we decide to try a new place, we always leave disappointed and wish we would have just gone to KC! Visit during happy hour for great prices on select rolls and appetizers. Our favorites are the Daikon and Steve rolls!

They have happy hour every day even on Sunday! We came for lunch and had 2 rolls, super white and salmon sushi, miso soup and house salads. Everything was delicious. The sakerita is so yummy! Highly recommend.

Wow delicious delicious delicious. The place was busy busy and we still got great service quick efficient and the food was presented beautifully. Calamari is wonderful, we tried several different sushi rolls and every one of them was fresh, plentiful, and oh so very tasty. I understand they have happy hour some days until 6:00 but didn't get those details, we arrived shortly after 6:00. However, that would certainly be a motivating factor to try even more of the delicious food. The only reason I marked that parking was difficult to find was because the place was busy. However people were coming and going and we parked quite quickly.

My wife loves this place. We prefer to sit at the sushi bar and interact with the chefs. Service was quick, sushi was cold and tasty. The Hiroshima Ice Tea is very strong.

Visited for the Hibachi dinner. KC Sushi was in line with most Hibachi restaurants. Food cooked right in front of you, etc. The chicken and steak were good and not over cooked. The service was good and our Hibachi Chef was entertaining so plus one star. Reasonably priced with good food so may revisit this location if I'm in the area and have a taste for Hibachi.

This is the best sushi restaurant in Kc. The Joplin roll is delicious. I also got fried rice. Hibachi chicken was excellent as well. We come back all the time. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.

Delicious sushi selection. It was my first time, make reservations, get there a little early! The hibachi was good, portions were smaller however the quality made up for that. The sushi was fresh. Our chef was hilarious and kept checking in with us to make sure we were OK. Would definitely recommend. I would say skip the yellow sauce and go for the yum-yum sauce šŸ˜‹

So Good! New favorite place for Hibachi! Only been once but had steak and shrimp. The rice was seasoned and had the best flavor of anywhere. Butterfly Shrimp was cooked with lemons and seasoning and was Delicious! Only thing I would say is the steak could've used some extra seasoning but the sauces helped out with that. And next time I can ask for extra seasoning! By far the best place I've tried in a couple years! Can't wait to go again!

Good selection yummy sushi. Nice staff. Quick service. Other reviews say all you can eat Sundays. This is not true. Went on a Sunday there was no all you can eat. Bathroom is ok.

January 12,2022 I made an initial review about Kc Sushi a few months ago. Last Wednesday I was in the area and stopped by. I was the only customer in there from 8:30 to close . My new experience was very good. I ordered the K&D roll, a coke and a margarita. For dinner I had the Teppankyi Chicken, Shrimp and steak dinner. Everything was good and all were polite. I felt bad I was the only customer in at the time prior to closing however they said I had just missed the rush . I was really really hungry so I’m happy I waited . Overall from this visit I’d give them a 10/10. I don’t remember any of the team members name from that night but we all talked and laughed. We even talked about our babies and coco melon. There’s always room for growth and this visit around I saw that . I can’t complain this time. Thank you KC Sushi for making my night without my son perfect ā¤ļø _____________________________________ 04/7/2021 I absolutely love KC sushi. It’s my favorite place up north. However Kim is extremely rude. My husband and I’ve ate there multiple times and her attitude has not changed. Kim do you treat all your African American customers rude and not worthy of spending their money at your establishment. Please let us know so we may go somewhere where our money is valued . This isn’t a one time incident but multiple times with Kim. We’ve never been rude or rambunctious, always polite and we’ve even tipped despite her attitude. On today 4/7/2021, you hung on me after I asked could I pay over the phone. I wanted to pay over the phone because it was close to closing, you told me why wouldn’t I just come in but I was still at least 7 minutes away from the. I arrived at 8:53 pm and you guys close at 9 pm. I wanted to be courteous about closing the tab prior to my arrival because again I see you guys close at 9 pm. Also I asked you to put the sauce in the boxes you just threw the sauce in the bag without making sure the lids you put the sauce in was on correctly on. Lastly you seemed bothered that I even came into your establishment. In closing, I hope the issue is resolved quickly, before this severely affects customer sales.

Wonderful gem here in the Northland! Food is fresh and delicious. Coming from California and eating at some great sushi restaurants we were very impressed to find this restaurant provides very good quality sushi out here in the Midwest! We will be coming back for more!!

A serious sushi craving hit so we decided to try KC Sushi again after a few years. I hadn't been back since long before they renovated but the great reviews tempted me and I wasn't let down. The interior is a lot lighter than it used to be with all the dark furniture. The sushi bar is the focal point and maybe a little 80s but nice. We came to try the happy hour menu that they have everyday during lunch and sampled a few different things. I was excited to try the daikon roll that people were raving about and it was very good with 3 kinds of fish and cucumber wrapped in a thin sheet of daikon radish. Very tasty. It seems the regular order is only 4 pieces for $6.95 but they double it to 8 pieces during happy hour for the same price. The other items are $.50 to $1-2 cheaper than regular menu price during happy hour which I think is incredibly fair for the quality and amount of sushi you get. The salmon nigiri was some of the most vibrant I've seen and the spider roll was delicious. I'm tempted to go back and try the AYCE Sunday special for $25 but will wait until I'm feeling particularly gluttonous. The three of us stuffed ourselves for about $55 total with tax and tip.

Prefer here over Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse. Just my opinion. I had the chicken and shrimp.
