We are from NY and have been looking for a place like this for years. Friends of ours recommended the place and we eat there every chance we get. Service is good ,most of the time there is a wait but it is well worth it. We love the atmosphere and the food is excellent. Eat big on a small pocket. Our family can never wait for the next visit!!!
If you want a real Americana experience, come to Snappy's. This restaurant has been recognized by the City of Katy AND the State of Texas.

They were pretty crowded on Saturday morning but we got seated and served realy 'snappy'. The food is awesome and hot. My wife thinks it's the best chicken fried steak she's ever had. Definatly worth a few more trips.
Love this place been coming here since 2010... the wait is minimal but the food is OMG!! Great!!! The wait staff is so nice and fast. I bring a lot of my friends to Snappy's so they can eat their awesome food.
The first impression was perfect, the place was spotless and the staff immediately greeted me. I was told the specials and giving great suggestions. The food was amazing, I will definitely go when when in old Katy!

We have been coming almost weekly for the past 9 or 10 years for their spectacular breakfast. Friendly and attentive workers, great food, and wonderful "old-school" ambiance. It always feels like home.
We have been looking for a place that had home cooking and good food.....We finally found Snappy's and it is now our favorite for breakfast and lunch .... The service is great and it's crowded, but everyone is friendly and hometown atmosphere. Love it.

This place is awesome! Great food and service. Coffee and drinks are never empty. Food comes in big potions and is delicious. This was our second time going and will be back every weekend. Love it!
Good local diner food. Great value and good folk. Superior when compared to Denny's or IHOP. Only negative is the smoking section so NOT family friendly.

Good home cooked meals that are served very quickly. Their bacon is delicious as well as their tatziki sauce. Yes they allow smoking but big deal food and service are great.
The best place to start any bike trip. Good food and friendly staff. Always crowded. Don't mind the smoking, it is in Katy, not Houston
What a good Southern breakfast should be. Simple with good flavors. Eggs and sausage were NOT full of grease. Toast was generously buttered but not over kill. Grits were perfectly cooked. Coffee was fresh and not so hot when it came that you couldn't sip it for 10 min.
found this gem by accident, but im so glad i did. staffs are more than friendly, it is definitely a local joint, ton of people, and everyone was saying hi to everyone, everyone was smiling. And the food is excellent! how did they kept the chicken so juicy!!! definitely coming back for more.
and like I said, we came back for round 2 within the week, and i tried Chicken Fried Steak, and it was even better than the chickeb fried chicken, highly recommended!
10/10 would recommend! Not only was the food amazing, the staff was even better! You can truly tell that they all are hardworking and work together as a team. I will definitely be back! Special shout out to our server Emily who made our first experience here a great one!
If you want a local Cafe with amazing food and service, this is the place! I am on a business trip so have been trying different places for breakfast and while the other new fancy chains have disappointed, this cafe has certainly not!
First time coming here and the service was great, with smiles & very friendly. The food was outstanding, home-style country cooking.
This wonderful cafe is as good as they get. I still have quite a bit of the menu that I want to try, but what I’ve had so far has been excellent. Today I had the gyro with fries and a salad. Delicious. Breakfast here is something you’ll definitely want to try too.

This place feels like the heart and soul of Katy. Friendly service, great value, quick, and they’re open super early. I love it.
Protein packed breakfast and Greek omelette were delicious. Brandi never let our coffee get empty.
We’ve been coming to Snappy’s for years, and for years it’s been epically average. Good service and okay food.
This restaurant has been an Old Katy staple for decades. It’s outlasted many chain restaurants and will most likely continue to do so as long as the new owners stay on track.
The staff is always friendly, but faces change about every year or so, which is sort of what you expect with most restaurants. There is almost always a wait regardless of what time you show up. There’s never been enough room, but we make it work.
All that said, I’ll continue eat at Snappy’s as long as they’re around. While their food isn’t gourmet, it’s very homely as is the ambiance.
Staff is very friendly, including management. Provides an inviting atmosphere. I love the corn beef hash. Ava was my server and did a great job.
That fried catfish was out of this world…. and for $11 came with 3 sides and a roll!!! I will definitely be back soon. Green beans were the best I’d had in a restaurant.
