My wife and I ate here a couple years ago and it was good but this evening we decided to stop in again and I will say that they have stepped up their game. Food was great, appetizers were good. Margaritas were on point service was awesome. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a meal.
This restaurant is like walking into your Abuela's house! If you're looking for the best Rita .. Rays is the place hands down, you only need 1. The food is ALWAYS FRESH and served FAST. This has become my family’s favorite gathering place. I come in almost weekly . The staff is AMAZING!!! My favorite waiter finds me every time to make sure I'm good . Rum don't walk... you're welcome in advance!!!
Just the best food in town. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Tacos, tamales, enchiladas, rice, refried beans, lemonade, it was all great. I can’t even tell you what was the best because it was all great! Come try it out and you’ll see for yourself. Yummy!
Our first time here. My wife and I came for dinner. She had tamales, I had the stuffed avacados with beef. We both had iced teas and I had a skinny margarita.
The tamales were large with lots of meat and a good flavor. The stuffed avacados were huge with a lot of meat. The ice tea was fresh and cold. The staff was friendly, helpful and very polite. The skinny margarita was very good, it was hard to tell it was a skinny.
The price was also good for the food quality and portion size.
I love this place , fair prices & the best Enchiladas I've ever had! My friend wanted to go , but she had her dog with her. We called and they allowed us to bring him and sit on an indoor patio they have that wasn't open. They kindly unlocked the side door and allowed us in, without disturbing anyone. Great service & great hospitality. Wish I could give 10 stars 🌟
La Gratinada (carne) and Carne Asada are good, margaritas are also good, we ordered the pitcher. The server (Roxy) was in training and gave us the best service. I like the ambiance and people are friendly. Looking forward to coming again.

I will say this definitely, Ray's is outstanding and has kept the same staff for years! and they don't forget you, but instead they treat you like family as well as friends.

The green sauce is probably one of the best ones I've ever had and I've had a lot... I was really impressed with the how tender and flavorful the tampiquena was. We will definitely adding this spot to our list.
Amazing food at every visit. The most consistent restaurant with quality, service and friendliness. Been going here several times a week for a long time and I'm never disappointed. Obsessed with their enchiladas!!!
Service was great, Food was excellent, only glitch for me I thought the Margarita's were a bit strong for me, but that's just my own personal opinion, and the only reason I only gave it 4 stars
Update, My visit on 12-04-20 food was good as always, and beer was cold....Does'nt get any better than that.
Update 12-19-20, Another great dinner date with my wife at Ray's Mexican Restaurant.
Update 01-13-21. I Ordered the Mexico City Plate, my wife ordered the Acapulco Plate, both were excellent the enchilada cheese sauce is to die for. Would definitely recommend this place.
This is a great spot for casual Tex mex! It has been around forever and for good reason!
We love to eat at Ray's because the food is delicious, the prices are good, and the staff is attentive. We always have a great meal at Ray's.
Ray’s just might be Katy’s little hidden gem. Been going there for several years and the service is always great. Check out their Mango Rita’s. They’re the best in and around Katy for sure. 1000%! They are tasty but very potent.
