Great service, great food, great atmosphere! The designer used a lot of solid wood pieces, giving the space a natural feel. The location is tucked away in the shopping center, so the crowd isn't crazy. The food is simple, but delicious. I would recommend this to a foodie any day!

FANTASTIC! Had the spicy miso ramen: great flavor, toppings were awesome, chashu was incredibly tender and easy to eat. Also had the rib eye skewer and it was better than I was expecting. My biggest complaint is that both dishes were so good, I don't know what to get next time I come, so it'll probably just be both. Prices were reasonable. Also loved the sake bomb which was the first I've ever tried.

Atmosphere is cozy, the staff are friendly and the food is awesome. This is our go to place for Ramen. I have tried other places but AJI RAMEN satisfies my ramen cravings... oh and their Pork Belly Skewers, Sweet Potato Tempura, and Gyu-Don, yum-yummy.

Delicious food with great presentation and very friendly staff! Surprised that they already have very good menu selections considering they are only at soft opening. Price is very reasonable too! It now becomes my go to place for Japanese food in Katy! Looking forward to their grand opening!!!

Attended during the soft opening. This was my first visit to a place like this, and it didn't fail to impress. The food was great and so was the service.

Everything we've ever had here is excellent. The Ramen and skewers are great. The curry is amazing. Chashu Don is on point. $2 sake bombs all day, everyday!

This is also based on their soft opening. Loved it. Great food and awesome appetizers. The pork belly is the best I've had. I had extra Pork and extra egg and only thing I could ask is the egg is cut in two as impossible to pick up with chopsticks😂😂 I'll definitely be back as local too👏🏻👏🏻

This was a great place we stumbled upon! Wow the Skewer Robata grill was amazing. I tried the pork belly and ribeye. Then tried the Aji Bun which was very enjoyable too! We left satisfied!

Asian restaurants are plentiful in the Katy and surrounding areas. Most of them are small in size but serve memorable food that satisfies. A good example is Aji Ramen. Ramen is the main reason people visit Aji Ramen and there are about eight or so options, most of which are good in taste and moderately filling. Beyond ramen, you will also find different rice dishes and skewers. If you want a variety of meat, the skewer is the way to go. The ramen tends to stick with pork and chicken, but the skewers offer many more meat options. They serve several different small plates, too. The food served at Aji Ramen is quite tasty and one thing I like is that the skewers and several other items, while small, are low in price. This is nice because you can customize a meal, based on your appetite, and keep the cost down. A pair of egg rolls and a ribeye skewer, for example, is just right when your appetite isn’t very strong. And for beverages you can select among soft drinks, beer, and yes, sake. I tend to go for the Thai iced tea, which is one of my favorites but the sake is also a good choice. The inside of Aji Ramen is on the small side, with space for about fifty guests. One thing I’m not too thrilled with is the tables in the middle section because they feature stools for seating: Stools that are low to the ground and have no back support. This isn’t good if you have issues with standing/sitting and if you have back issues. You will need to seek out the booths if you want back support. I like a nice, cozy Asian restaurant. Aji Ramen is a good choice for those who want a bowl of ramen or other Asian dish for a reasonable price. The seating isn’t the best and I have had issues with slow service, but the food is more than good enough to keep me coming back.

Absolutely delicious spot. The service was kind and almost too attentive if there’s such a thing, but it’s much better than bad service or none at all. The kimchi fries were the fav, but the Brussels sprouts and Taiwanese sausage weren’t far behind. All the food was great and fairly priced. A few small details took away from the experience. I got a warm beer and a dirty glass. When I asked her to replace the glass, she told me it’s because it was in the freezer, but the glass was just as warm as the beer, so I was confused at the explanation. The whole interaction left me a bit uneasy about the rest of the experience, but everything else ended up being great. I’d go back for sure! There’s also a really good Korean spot next door. I think there’s something special about this little strip center!

On my first visit to Aji Ramen, we were looking forward to trying out the Ramen but we ordered so many of the small plates that we were too full to have any Ramen. I was with two other people so we went overboard and ordered Jumbo Shrimp Tempura, Egg Roll, Chicken Karaage, Ika Geso, Sweet Potato Tempura, Spicy Salmon Volcano, Ika Sansal Wasabi, Miso Hamachi Kama, Pork Belly Skewers, Bacon Wrapped Enoki Skewers, Lamb Chop, Salmon on a Skewer, Honey Wasabi Ribeye Skewers and regular Ribeye Skewers. That is quite a number of “small” plates! Let’s start with what we didn’t like. The Spicy Salmon Volcano was a total miss. It was way too spicy. One person in my group even thought that it was so spicy on purpose to mask salmon that did not taste fresh. The Salmon Skewer came out quite dry too. The Sweet Potato Tempura was a somewhat different potato than what most other restaurants use but it was fine taste wise. All the other items were delicious. The Jumbo Shrimp Tempura and Egg Roll were very good. One of the better egg rolls I have had in awhile. The Lamb Chops were delicious. The Miso Hamachi Kama was seasoned nicely and was not overcooked. Both types of ribeye skewers were tender but I would recommend the Honey Wasabi Skewers over the plain one. The Chicken Karaage was very juicy. The Pork Belly Skewers and Bacon Wrapped Enoki Skewers are both worth having again. A week later, I went back to have the Aji Tonkotsu Ramen. The waitress said it was one of the most popular Ramen items on the menu. And I can see why. Once the bowl of Ramen was brought to my table, the smell already told me that it would be very tasty. The thinly sliced pieces of pork were very tender. The pork bone soup base was hearty. There were some corn, seaweed, bamboo shoots, scallions and half of a hard boiled egg included with the Ramen. Add it all together and it was a very good bowl of Ramen. I like this place and I will be back. It is not a big restaurant. I think there are four booths and about ten to twelve tables. This is a very good drinking spot with all the small plates available.

It is a really nice ramen restaurant. The Tonkotsu Ramen and Takoyaki were especially delicious. It tastes very similar to the ramen I tried in Japan, and the restaurant is very clean. The server was very kind, making it a pleasant dining experience.

I’ve been coming here for years. The quality is very good, the staff is very memorable, polite and patient. All the food is super high quality and overall good experience. I think the recipes and menu items have changed quite a bit over the years, but my review remains the same. I’ve been ordering the miso ramen mainly, and I’d like to have back the old recipe because it had more flavor and umami taste. Still a great place to eat.

Tonight was the second time I have had ramen at this place, and it was great! I got the tonkotsu ramen (which is my favorite kind of ramen), and it was amazing. If you want it to be spicy, you can add chili oil to your liking. The staff is very sweet too. If you are looking for a good ramen place in this area, I would totally recommend Aji Ramen!

I just finished a Fantastic meal! The food is fantastic. Atmosphere is cozy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Yuki deserves special credit for handling questions and a picky special request. I highly recommend stopping by and trying my personal favorite, the Kimchi Tonkatsu if that sort of thing appeals to you!

Super cute interior! We got a table pretty quick during dinner time on Saturday. I had vegan ramen, my husband had tonkotsu ramen, kids had fried rice and spicy miso ramen. They were all delicious. I really loved the grilled shiitake in my ramen. I ordered iced oolong tea, which I always get in ramen shops in Japan. I was soooooooo happy they had that and my cup was never empty. Superior service. Food arrived super quick too. Did I mention they got asahi on draft? They had Sapporo too. We will definitely go back.
