The service was great! Brandon was on top of everything! The night I came in there was a party full house, a few walk-ins and a few pick up orders he knocked it out! He got everything out very kind.
This is a pizza spot so online / call-in orders would be better than walk-in unless you want to grab several single slices.
I could extol the virtues of single slice pizza on its own, but this is a review. To start with, this pizza tastes like it's made by someone who really likes pizza. The atmosphere also sounds like that because every time I go someone is talking shop about pizza. You can tell they're proud of their product.
The options are interesting to say the least. There's your standard Hawaiian, meatlovers, Supreme(see: the walls), but also local flavors like brisket and boudin. The crusty is something close to new York? I'm not sure yet. It's not as greasy and has a strong crunch under the fluffy dough. Holds up well as leftovers.
This is a great grab and go place and has a lot more fun menu items than I'm likely to try on my lunch break. It's a hole in the wall in a gas station, so while you can dine in, don't expect lots of parking.
Did I mention the lunch special? For under $10 you get a specialty slice and a canned soda. The slices are large so its a solid, filling lunch.
Final verdict: try the Benny's sauce
Benny's is by far the best pizza I've had in quite some time, here in Ft. Bend or anywhere. The crust is crispy, but still light and airy. The ingredients are top notch, and the unique topping options are an excellent break from the usual pizza norm. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great pizza.
Outstanding! If you like NY style pizza this Benny's is a great choice. We got pepperoni and mushroom pizza and we loved it. It is as good as any NY Style in the area. Lots of ingredient options. I will be back
Made my way to Benny's Pizza last night and it was love at first bite! I got a size of Benny's Supreme which had beef pepperoni and a good amount of veggies. The crust was a beautiful thickest with a nice crunch on bottom while remaining soft up top. Very good stuff, looking forward to my next visit!
We got the chicken Alfredo pizza and it was so good!!! It was cheesy and the crust was perfect! I highly recommend the pizza here. I’m very picky about the pizza I eat and this is by far one of the best ones. We also got the garlic knots and dipped those in the Bennys sauce! So good! Jordan is very polite and tries to make everyone feel welcome.
Owner it superbly outstanding…. Everyone was raving about Benny’s and had to find out for myself. It’s true people, don’t walk, BUT RUN to this place. Delicious and fresh quality ingredients and piping hot. Husband is from NY and he approves. We will definitely be back to try other creations. Thanks Benny!!!!!
For the person who always says, "I have no idea what I want to eat!" This place is for you! LOL! We ordered a 16 inch 4 way with Pepperoni/Jalapeno, Chicken Alfredo Crunch, Boudain and BBQ brisket. The brisket was the fave! Not an overly powerful taste of BBQ sauce which we appreciated. The Chicken Alfredo was good as well since we rarely see those toppings at regular pizza joints. The miss for us was the Boudain - very little of it and not enough of it to say, yes this is Boudain flavored. Will be ordering from them again to try the other unusual styles.
From the moment I entered the store, the gentleman in the front made sure I felt like part of the family. He had a casual approach with an abundance of energy, and he was genuinely checking on every guest experience. It was great to see someone so engaged with a gift in making the guest connection.
We ordered a couple of pizzas, and they were about average. Good pizza, but I think the sauce was where the flavor may have been lacking. I'd definitely order again, and to know they serve beef pepperoni will keep me coming back. My hope is that they don't stop trying to improve their product and are around for a long time. We need more restaurants with operators who care like the Manager at Benny's.
3 stars for the location mainly due to external reasons. Limited parking, gas station next door, and limited seating.
