A lot of the older reviews are negative, but don't let that deter you now.
This was our first time at Sterling's, and it was amazing! Our server Kelsey was very attentive, friendly, and polite. The food was outstanding! My husband said it is the best steak (bacon-wrapped filet mignon) and breakfast he's ever had. I ordered the ATA sterling, and was delighted with the quality and quantity of the asparagus, tomato, and avocado. The Sterling sauce is incredibly delicious!
We will definitely return next time we travel here. Thanks for the fantastic experience!
Late Night Treasure. While waiting for family members to fly in, my sister in law and I came upon Sterlings in Kennewick, WA. They were closing in a half hour but assured us that we could take our time and not be rushed! We did and it was fabulous. We both had the enormous salad bar and enjoyed several cups of soup. The clam chowder is the best I've had probably ever if not in years! The coffee was not bitter and the continuous refills kept it hot. The menu was 5 pages long and included gluten free choices! I did not feel like I was missing out on ordering the salad bar...It was wonderful beyond my description.
Can't go wrong. I love this place. Great service and awesome salads. Wish I lived closer!
Good diner. I go to Sterlings about every eight weeks. I like it here. It has a fabulous salad bar. The main cuisine is pretty good. They don't seem to have a specialty like a Greek diner would, but nevertheless our family enjoys eating here.
The atmosphere is fantastic. They take excellent care of their dining room. The service is always friendly. I have never had an issue with this establishment.
They tend to cook with a mild spice level. If more flavor or intensity in the dishes is desired just ask because they have never had a problem cooking to order.
Our favorite breakfast spot!. We moved here about 6 months ago and this was the first place we tried for breakfast out. We haven't tried anywhere else because these guys have amazing omelets! We've never gone for any meal besides breakfast, but other people's lunches looked pretty good too. We've always been seated very quickly even on busy weekends, with the exception of the time we brought a big group of out-of-town friends and it took some time for them to get a clear table big enough for all of us. If you're looking for breakfast, this place is definitely worth trying out, to see if it's your kind of place!
Wonderful service and the food great. They've got one of the best salad bars. On most days the special is a New York steak and all you can eat salad bar that costs $1.00 more then the all you can eat salad bar. Can't beat it.
Sterling's makes a ribeye that's mouth-watering and grilled to perfection. As far as my well-used taste buds are concerned, it's the best steak in the region; superior to anything I've tried at Cousins', Magills, Tony Roma's, or anywhere else in between.
I've been here many times and have never been disappointed by the food. My problem today was the hostess that seated us - she acted like she would much rather be anywhere else but there, when she initially seated us and when we went to pay our bill. When we did go to pay the bill we were not told that if we used a credit card we would be paying a surcharge which was very disappointing as I would just as happily paid cash if I would have known that.
The food was good, the prices were decent, the waitress was really good. Just really disappointed in the hostess attitude before and after, and the surcharge.
Food was good, Salad bar is good sized. Their homemade rolls are excellent! The service was really good. They stayed on top of things.
I stopped in to this place and was astonished. The restaurant was warm and inviting. The menu was loaded with choices. It took me almost a half hour to study the menu. I decided on the linguine with Italian sausage. The salad bar was great. They gave me bread that was wonderful. The meal was a delight and there was a lot of it. If you visit, you better be hungry. The staff was very attentive and polite. I will be returning.
I really like this place! The food is consistently pretty good. The servers are friendly, the menu has a lot of interesting variety. The servers are very accommodating too. If you have babies or young children, they'll always offer you a high chair and bring it to you. My only real gripe is the tables are a little cluttered with stuff, but that's not a deal breaker for me.
Atmosphere is great , mainly because you can dine by the river. The breakfast is the best. We like the fact that coffee is refilled frequently and the check is provided quietly. Never feel being rushed. We have treated two groups of friends there and feel this is a best place for a simple brunch with hearty conversation.
Came two days in a row and was helped by Cristina both times. She was so kind and friendly. She did not seem to put on the whole fake nice girl act she was genuine and I loved having her as a server. The food spoke for itself. It was so good I might have overindulged a little... both mornings 😂 definitely coming back every time I'm in town.
My husband and I went here the other night, we've been here quite a few times before. We usually always stick to the salad bar because you can't go wrong with that, but this night I got the filet mignon wrapped in bacon... It was delicious cooked perfectly and tender. Service was great also.
I had chicken alfredo it was excellent. And there was plenty of it. My bread they gave me with it tasted kind of old so I didn't need it and they brought the salad out with the mill which means if you eat your salad when you're done with your salad your meal will be cold my uncle ordered it was a hamburger with gravy on it and that's all they got they bought his salad out with his meal and he was not happy about it because his meal would have been cold if he ate the salad first most places bring your salad out before your dinner. And they were supposed to give him other stuff with his hamburger and they didn't do it. And they didn't ask which of the choices he would like. He was very unhappy with the service. My meal and the service for me was excellent it did take them about 30 minutes to get our small little salads out to us which seems like a long time but the salad was good. They did try to make it right they lowered the bill a little bit. Money wasn't a problem but they did try to make it right.
We just moved to kennewick 2 months ago and this has been the best restaurant we've found so far! Overall great - fast service, food was fresh and flavorful, and a their menu has lots of options for everyone. David wasn't our server but he took time to talk to us and his interaction with us alone was enough to make my husband and I come back again.
I've eaten here a number of times over the year's. The service has always been great, the food has always been great with one exception. It would be even better. If the cooks would scramble their eggs, light and fluffy. Like a cloud.
Ordered a hamburger well done and it comes out medium. Great salad bar. Our server had no idea if the burger was a quarter or a half pound when we asked.
We met family for a lunch. There was a short 15 min. Wait. The staff was kind and helpful. Salad bar fresh and clean. The tomato bisque is amazing! I had a patty melt my beautiful wife a french dip. The menu is comprehensive. Breakfast is great as well.
This place is a great family sit down restaurant with excellent service and food.
